For those of you who are new this is a Jelsa FanFic.

I wake up to Dad throwing stuff at the wall and I knew it was going to be a bad day. It was the middle of the year and, being a senior, I just wanted all of this to be over. I wanted to be able to leave. Not that Dad would let me but it's at least worth a try. Since I woke to the sound of chaos, my alarm didn't wake me up, so I turn it off. I don't want to risk Dad getting mad at me for it going off while I'm in the shower. I remove myself from my sheets wishing for the day to be over, even though it had just started. I turn the shower on, letting it run for a few minutes to warm up. I peel my clothes off, undo my hair and slip into the shower. The warm water feels good against my back.

Once I had spent a lengthy amount of wasted time in the shower, I hop out, drying off the best I can. Dad doesn't like it when the floor gets wet. I grab my robe off of the chair next to my bed and put it on. The soft and fuzzy inside feels good against my soft skin. I blow dry my hair, brushing it when needed. By the end, I look like some hipster guy from the 60's with an Afro. Nevertheless, I hastily braid my hair back, not wanting to do much with it for the day. I head to my closet looking for something warm because New York in February feels like Antarctica. I settle on a pair of black, high-waisted, ripped jeans and an over-sized, long sleeve green sweater. I tuck a front portion of the sweater into the jeans and look for shoes. I settle on my solid black Vans and slip them on. I put small diamond studs in my ears and apply minimum makeup.

I throw my bright yellow book sack over my shoulder. It wasn't my first choice, but it was Anna's and I feel like I have a small part of her with me. I emerge from my room with about 30 minutes until school starts. It's about a ten minute walk so I grab a quick breakfast. Two Pop Tarts in hand, I head to Dad's office.

"Hey Dad?" I knock on the door lightly.

"Not now Elsa!"

"Yes sir, I'm leaving for school. Goodbye." My voice is small, insignificant. Oh how I wish it could be more. Dad grunts from inside his office, his version of "goodbye".

I head out the front door, a whole Pop Tart gone. I arrive at West River High School with ten minutes to spare until school starts. I walk through the courtyard to the front entrance of the school. Most students gather in front of the school before the bell rings. The few that go inside are mostly the ones that haven't studied for incoming tests.

"Elsa!" Emma waves frantically at me. I laugh, walking up to her.

"Hey Emma. Did you study for Trig?" She laughs nervously.

"Yes, but I still don't get this." I laugh, feeling the same way.

"No Kidding, I can't wait to be done with this. To leave. To go explore! Wouldn't that be so cool?" Emma smirks.

"Only if I can come along." I scoff so loud, some people turn and look. I wish I could shrink inward when that happens. I hate it when people look at me.

"Of course you're coming." She laughs before turning her attention to someone behind me.

"Caroline, Maya, whats poppinnn?" I almost throw up my Pop Tart.

"Emma..never say that again." She laughs so hard I think she might fall over. A few moments later, she steadies herself wiping tears from her eyes.

"So, um, what just happened?" Before Emma or I could respond, Caroline answers for us.

"Emma happened." We all laugh at that. Emma is definitely the goof of the group. Suddenly, the whole courtyard falls silent. I turn to look and see what the commotion is. A tall blonde guy that I've never seen before seems to be the cause of silence that even the Principle couldn't create. "Who is that?" Caroline whispers my exact thoughts.

"That's Jack. Jack Frost. He's new here. Today's his first day. He's kind of famous, that's why everyone is freaking out." I roll my eyes disgusted.

"You know everything don't you Emma." She laughs softly.

"Everything except for what we're learning in Trig." I laugh along with her.

"I honestly have no taste in all these popular guys, they're so full of themselves." Caroline, again, mirrors my thoughts.

"Agreed." Jack passes by us but stops in front of Emma. She turns so red, I think she might explode.

"Excuse me. Do you know where the front office is?" Emma stares for a moment before raising a shaky arm toward the door.

"It's that way. First door on your left," She squeaks.

"Thanks." He smiles brightly before entering the building. Just like that the courtyard erupts into conversation. Before much could be said between us, the bell rings to start class.
