She just stood in front of her window, looking at the rainy weather
It was her first day in the USA and she had already missed him. She missed his arrogant grin whenever he figured out how a murder occurred. She missed his seek for attention, his sense of justice, the way he blushed, how he didn't let a murderer commit suicide, saying that if you let the murderer kill themselves, you're no better than them. She missed the way he'd do anything for the people he cared about, the usual 'oi oi' face he always did.
Shiho can never forget the moments she had with him. Like their real introduction, her break down in front of him after she told him about her sister, their first encounter with the Black Organization, when he saved her while she tried to commit suicide, when he told her to keep a smile on her face, when he promised to protect her, the countless amount of times he saved her from them, and of course the day they destroyed the Organization.
That was the day she knew that she should leave Japan after creating the antidote. She realized that after a few weeks her job would be done, and Shinichi would go back to his life. Go back to Ran.
Shiho couldn't just stay in Beika and watch him with another woman. She thought that she was now cool with the idea of Shinichi dating Ran, but she definitely wasn't. She's been already through a lot and she was about to crack, a broken heart would destroy what was still remained of her.
Shinichi was the first one she ever loved, and he'll most likely be the only one. Once you found someone like him your standards would be too high.
He may seem rude and arrogant at first. But she got the chance to really know him. To know how deeply he cared for his friends and family. And she adored the way he acted like a child whenever he was talking about Sherlock Holmes (Episode 510). She just simply missed him. Every single little detail of him.
He most certainly was cussing on her. After all, she didn't even tell him that she'll leave. All she did was send him a message in the airport. She changed her name, number, address and her whole identity. She's not Shiho Miyano anymore nor Ai Haibara. She's running away. From fate.
Another one! Okay, I just wanted to apology for this story. I got my school report yesterday and after I arrived home I went to sleep for the whole day, out of frustration. Now it's 4 am and I don't have anything else to do than listen to 'selfish' by Madison Beer and sulk in my bed. I still hope that you liked this. Thanks for reading!
