The red meteor sailed through space, it's destination unknown. The object pulsed as it floated away from the planet Mars into the abyss. Suddenly, the rock spun around to take a different course, as if it were alive. It continued to blaze forth, before entering the atmosphere of its next victim, the planet Earth. The meteor crash-landed in the country of Mexico, where the military almost immediately arrived at the crash site.
The Mexican general watched as his men began to examine the meteor. He sincerely hoped it wasn't another kaiju, he still hadn't gotten over the time an iguana and a caterpillar beat the snot out of each other. Suddenly, the meteor glowed brighter, and the shovels and picks shot forward and stuck to the space rock. The meteor cracked open, and a torrent of fire roared out. It collected and formed a figure. Two tails, bat-like wings, and three heads flailed, and as the flames faded, a bell-like crackle sounded as King Ghidorah screeched promises of death to the world. The general wasted no time ordering his troops to retreat. King Ghidorah's red eyes spotted them, but before he could fire, the ground started rumbling before something exploded below him.
The green-and-tan form of the mutated caterpillar El Gusano Gigante rammed into the golden hydra, knocking him out of the air. Shaking his heads, he screeched at rage at the bug, who screeched back at him and shot forward. King Ghidorah yelped in shock and took a step back, leaving El Gusano's jaws to snap shut where his belly once was. Pulling his foot back, King Ghidorah kicked El Gusano Gigante in the chin, knocking her back. She twitched her root-like legs and antenna, hissing in anger.
King Ghidorah tried to kick her in the jaw again, but she dodged with surprising ease for something so bulky. He swung all three heads, smacking her and sending her tumbling back. Ghidorah cackled and flapped his wings, kicking up a burst of wind, trying to blow El Gusano Gigante away. The caterpillar was too heavy however, and she tunneled under the earth. The golden terror stopped and furrowed his brows. Did it run away?
His answer came in the form of the ground rumbling. El Gusano exploded from the ground and rammed head-first into the Three-Headed Monster's gut, sending him rolling like a tumbleweed on crack. He fell flat on his back, groaning. The giant caterpillar hissed as she approached the downed hydra. Acting quickly, King Ghidorah flailed his tails. The spiked clubs on the end nicked El Gusano Gigante's chin, drawing yellow blood. El Gusano yelped from the sting and drew back. King Ghidorah got up, grinning like psycho before unleashing his Gravity Beams on the poor insect.
El Gusano Gigante wailed as her body was blasted was by the cosmic beams, burning her exoskeleton. She shrieked in pain and tried to dodge the beams, to no avail. King Ghidorah cut off his Gravity Beams to laugh at her pain, closing his eyes as he did so.
A moment later, pain shot through his right head as it was on the receiving end of El Gusano's clubbed tail, sending teeth and red blood flying. The Three-Headed Monster staggered back, his other two heads glaring at the pest while his third head recovered. His center head spat out a Gravity Beam that shattered one of the dull spines on her back. The caterpillar yelped before charging in and headbutting King Ghidorah in the gut. The hydra wheezed before slamming his recovered head into her jaw, staggering her.
El Gusano hissed and backed up and spun around, slamming her clubbed tail into King Ghidorah's gut, knocking his breath out and sending him sliding back. King Ghidorah growled and flew forward, slamming his knee into her throat, sending all 60,000 tons of her flying.
All 60,000 tons of her crashed to the ground and rolled to a stop. King Ghidorah flew over her and let himself drop feet-first. El Gusano Gigante wailed as the hydra used her as a landing pad. He jumped into the air to do it again, and El Gusano rolled out of the way, letting KG slam down, cratering the ground. She got up and slammed her clubbed tail into his back, flooring him. King Ghidorah growled as he got up, she was no Gorosaurus, but that still hurt.
He turned around and spat out a trio of Gravity Beams. El Gusano Gigante dodged and slammed her head into his chest, staggering him. He flew into the air and rained Gravity Beams on El Gusano. The kaiju wailed and writhed before tunneling away. King Ghidorah snarled and circled the area, looking for his foe. Sure enough, she erupted from the ground, ready to clamp her jaws on Ghidorah's gut. The hydra swung out of the way before landing a double kick to El Gusano Gigante, knocking her out of the air.
The caterpillar crashed down a few yards from a missile site. King Ghidorah saw this, and a wicked thought entered his three minds, and he swooped down and snatched the kaiju in his golden talons before ascending. Once he was in position and high enough, he dropped El Gusano Gigante. The poor insect crashed down on the missile site, destroying it in a fiery explosion.
King Ghidorah landed, grinning. Strangely enough, the smoke was pink. El Gusano loomed out of the smoke, only to collapse, gasping for air like a fish out of water. King Ghidorah threw his heads back and laughed, not realizing the wind had blown the smoke toward him. In an instant, his eyes widened and he began coughing as the strange smoke stung his eyes and lungs and dulled his senses. What he didn't know, those missiles were bio-weapons using a poisonous flower, the same flower El Gusano fed on. The same flower that was now giving her a second wind.
Her body grew bigger and her eyes changed. Her teeth and antenna grew sharper, and her legs grew claws. El Gusano Gigante wailed before charging in. Before King Ghidorah could react, she slashed several of her claws through Ghidorah's right wing, spilling blood. She then spun around, walloping King Ghidorah again and again with her tail. One blow snapped a rib, then her club hit the center of his rib cage, utterly shattering it.
But El Gusano wasn't done yet. She charged forward and clamped her jaws on his gut and lifted him up before slamming him on the ground over and over before tossing him aside. King Ghidorah groaned and got up before starting to fly off. But El Gusano Gigante clamped her jaws around the ends of his tails and slammed him to the ground before letting go. King Ghidorah took off, battered and bruised. He would return, but not for a long, LONG time.
El Gusano fell, groaning in pain. As the sounds of helicopters filled the air, she passed out.
A few days later, El Gusano Gigante awoke and found herself in a forested area. While she was out, the humans had transported her to Site Omega. The Giant Bat swooped by, screeching a greeting to her, while King Cobra hissed hello. El Gusano swept her tail through the rich soil before tunneling underground to make her home.
Winner: El Gusano Gigante.
