Prologue - 'A new world'
The day began to end with the sun lowering turning the day into night, south across the ocean lays a picturesque island covered with: green fields of grass, palm trees, beautiful blue lakes, sandy beaches... And collapsing dirt platforms with public loop-de-loops aswell as cascading waterfalls vistas.
"This is South Island, my home and was probably THE coolest island in my world, what does that mean. Welll you'll see in a minuet"
On the island inside of a dense forest, a turtle slowly crawls towards a leaf on the ground when suddenly an arrow lands on the leaf and a blur suddenly speeds by, knocking the turtle on it's shell. More arrows try to pin the blur down but kept missing, the shooters jump out of their hiding spots clothed in tribal masks and ponchos covering their red & orange fur/quills, wielding bows arrows & nets. The blur runs over a net trap setting it off but was too fast to be caught, though sitting on a tree branch up ahead, one tribal readies her bow at the up n' coming blue blur.
She draws it back and let's go firing, as if in slow motion the arrow flies through the air . . . Landing deep into the blur's waist knocking it to the ground, the female tribal jumps down. The blur groans in pain catching her attention and turns over onto it's back showing it was an elderly blue hedgehog with a grey moustache, carrying a sack at his side, the tribal cautiously walks towards the hedgehog drawing back her bow but.
"Uncle Chuck?" A young voice says,
The tribal freezes and spots something loosen it's self from the elder-hog's grip revealing it to be a young blue hedgehog no older than 4, he looks at the tribal instantly gaining a scared look in his eyes, the tribal's eyes widen and she puts away her bow before taking off her mask revealing her face and orange fur/quills.
Tribal: "N-no little one, I'm not going to hurt you"
"B-b-but you and y-your friends, chased me and uncle chuck for a long t-time"
Fem Tribal: "The elder said it was because of your power, that if you grew up, it will pose a danger to the emeralds"
"W-what, a danger?"
Fem Tribal: "...What is your name little one?"
"Um... I-It's Sonic miss, but why am I a d-danger?"
Tribal: "Well Sonic, my name is Tikal, we were told by the master emerald itself: that one day a hedgehog of strength and speed, with the help of an ingenious mad man, shall steal the Chaos emeralds to rule all worlds... Although looking at you right now, I have many doubts that you are the hedgehog that was prophesised"
She smiles warmly at the young hedgehog, and he smiles in return having calmed down, but then they both hear the sounds of running and look back to where the tribals were.
Uncle Chuck at that moment opens his eyes, and doesn't see his nephew in his arms.
Uncle Chuck: "SONIC! Sonic! where are you?!"
"Uncle Chuck!" The young hedgehog says happily, Tikal quickly puts her mask back on and hides in a nearby bush...
The elder-hog looks to see his nephew hug him and he then tries to stand up but struggles, knowing he wasn't going to make it, so he makes the decision.
Uncle Chuck: "Sonic (grunt) I'm afraid I can't go on, you'll have to go without me"
Sonic: "Wait Uncle Chuck, what do you mean?"
Uncle Chuck sits up opening his sack, he takes out a gold ring and throws it in front of him which opens like a portal and on the other side is a lake with mountains in the background.
Uncle Chuck: "This place- (pained groan) This place is on the far side of the universe, and unfortunately will be your new home"
Sonic: "What?"
Uncle Chuck: "Well the plan was that if this were to happen, I would take care of you and we would-(pained grunt) take refuge until you were old enough to come back. (sighs) but I guess that plan's changed"
Uncle Chuck smiles sadly and strokes the young hedgehog's quills softly.
Sonic begins to sniff and tear up, the two hedgehogs hug each other before the young-hog let's go and the elder gives him his sack.
Uncle Chuck: "Inside this sack are my rings, only use them in case of an emergency, aswell as a journal about how to control your powers, be strong, and take great care Sonic. I love you"
The young-hog wipes his tears nodding sadly and takes the sack, he walks through the portal taking one look back, tears still fresh in his eyes, and his uncle gives a thumbs up just before the portal closes.
Uncle Chuck sighs and turns around to see the tribals in front of him holding their weapons at him, the elder-hog just simply coughs weakly again and then raises his hands to then be captured...

The young hedgehog stares at where the portal closed for a few minuets, silently weeping after having to leave his home, his friends, and his only family. Tears stream down his cheek but remembers his uncle's last words, so wiping his tears with his gloved hand, he picks up the small sack and starts to walk around the lake silently.
He looks at the scenery around him until he remembers about the journal, he stops and places the sack on the ground, opening it he takes out the journal and opens but notices a folded note taped to an empty page. He's about to unfold it but stops at the sound of footsteps, the young hedgehog turns around to see a big brown furry animal walking on four legs, walking up to the edge of the lake. It looks down into the water searching for prey to eat, Sonic holds his breath and silently, as he can, places the book in his bag before starting to walk back slowly.
When suddenly the furry animal growls loudly and swipes at the water causing the young-hog to trip backwards and drop his sack onto the floor making the rings jingle catching the animal's attention. It looks at Sonic's scared eyes and begins to stalk closer, and closer bearing it's teeth unwashed teeth, Sonic was frozen in place tears threatening to spill and begins to think it was his end, he had just lost everything and was tired. Tired of life currently kicking him in the dirt. Tired of losing his old life. and was TIRED OF THIS ANIMAL ABOUT TO EAT HIM!
Sonic began to grind his teeth, tears of anger leaking down his cheeks, his eyes fill with new-found fury as he began to stand back up not noticing the blue lightning surging his quills and the rest of his body, the brown creature watches worriedly starting to back off, Sonic sees this and takes a single step forward and the brown furry takes two back.
The young hedgehog still filled with fury yells at the larger animal with surges of electricity smacking it and making it yell in pain, causing it to fall into the lake creating a large splash...
Sonic huffs exhaustedly and watches the brown animal resurface nearby and climb out, it looks at the hedgehog and he just growls making it run into the woods, Sonic looks into the lake's reflection and saw himself.
{he elder said it was because of your power, that if you grew up it will pose a danger to the emeralds}
Sonic: (gasp)! S-she was right I. I am danger...H-hang on! The journal, Uncle Chuck said his journal had stuff about my powers"
So he calms down and turns back for the sack and opens it about to take out the book again but thinks for a second.
Sonic: " 'Wait what if more of big mean those brownies comeback, I should try and hide' "
The hedgehog closes the sack and starts to carry it into the woodland..
"So yeah, THAT is where my story begins- I lost the last of my family, discovered I have a hidden power and became the protag of a classic 'Fish out of water' plot. So you wanna know what happens next... Me too"
So obviously this opening was inspired by the green hill scene from the new sonic movie, when I came back from the cinema my love for the blue-streak tripled,
and after watching some Sonic X on Netflix I wondered what if you combined: [Sonic the Hedgehog (2020)/Sonic X/ SA 1&2].
But for the most part this is, at it's core, a Sonic X rewrite though it will have changes heavily involving the 2020 movie early on & SA 1&2 later down the line :)
