Chapter 1

As the sun appeared in the sky after the long lasting rain.It scattered its soft rays across the city of Shanghai.Everything looked washed up.It was another usual day that got started.People were getting to work .They all seemed to be in some kind of hurry.Life was going on.And then there was this house who's residents day started as usual like everyone else.''Come Xiaoyou!!. Breakfast is ready.'' Mrs Jiang called out for her daughter while setting breakfast on the table.She kept on summoning her daughter until the door fluttered open and the girl stepped out of her room.She wore a uniform which contained checkered skirt and white shirt and black coat and it was perfectly stitched according to her figure.She also wore black coloured long socks on her slender legs

''I'm here mom''. Her face held all the innocence and cuteness as she looked at her mother with her beautiful brown eyes.Her hair were rich black and they were down.Her forehead was covered due to the bob cut.She was a simple girl which was used to a simple lifestyle.

''Bye Mom!.See you later''After she ate the breakfast.She went outside her house and got on the bicycle.She was used to going to school by a bicycle.She loved to ride a bicycle.So,this was Xiaoyou.An ordinary girl who didnt expect herself to be extraordinary.Doing part time job at Talent's tea shop and earning a good living as well as completing her education was her only goal.She only wanted to make her parents proud.She had limited friends.She didn't know how to socialize.Call her an introvert or a girl with lack of confidence.

The air seemed humid yet the streets were damp because of the rain that remained for two days.She forgot to bring umbrella even though the sky was clear but it was Shanghai.Even the weather changed here in a blink.

While the cool breeze touched her face and blew away her hair from her head.

She reached her school and parked her bicycle in a parking area.She hoped not to be late as she clutched the strip of her bag on her first day to this new school.SHANGHAI NANHUI HIGH SCHOOL.Boys and girls were roaming around the school like they owned this place.It was a big school with vast beautiful building.She hadn't imagined to get admission in such an elite school.She didn't want to leave her previous school but her father's firm had asked him to move on in another area.Thats why her dad admitted her into one of best schools of this city.Even though it cost him more but nothing was important to him more than his daughter.Looking at the students,she already felt sick as they seemed to be spoiled kids of rich people.I can do this.She inhaled the air which smelled like the fragrance of washed up soil after the rain.She liked to say things to herself.It made her feel confident to some extent.

She kept on walking in the corridor and looking here and there in order to find her class in this vast school.She could see the hustle and bustle of students.She wished If her friend Shancai was here.It would have made things easier for her.When she felt lost,She sighed and decided to ask someone.She reached near two girls who were taking selfies.They are so pretty.I wish I were them.She thought.A wave of insecurity hit her. She felt her saying.

''Excuse me,can you please tell me--

Those girls walked away before she could even complete her sentence.

No one's going to help you Xiaoyou.She made a sad face.Until she heard someone's strong voice from her behind.

''Are you looking for something?''. She turned around and her breath hitched.Infront of her was standing a most beautiful boy.She never saw someone as handsome as him before.He was so tall.He had brown hair which covered his forehead.A thin but perfect nose and brown eyes so charming as if they carried stars inside them.He had a slender jawline which could easily cut a girl's heart.Her gaze fell on his lips which were moving but she couldn't here anything anymore.Time seemed to have stopped for her.It was only him and her.

''Are you hearing me Ms''.He waved his hand in front of her eyes and she came to her senses.He was still standing in front of her.It wasn't her dream!!

''Hh?..oh...y ...you can call me Xiaoyou.'' She said shyly and extended her hand to him involuntarily.His gaze fell on her hand.

''I'm Ximen''..He pressed his lips in a soft smile but he didn't shake her hand.She leaned her hand back.

''I...I'm new here and I..was looking for my class. .'' She managed to say.She looked down.She didn't know why she couldn't keep an eye contact with him.

''I get it its your first day here.You've to go upstairs''. He pointed at the stairs behind her.''And from there,you need to go right.You'll reach your destination.Now excuse me.''

''Thank you.Where's your cla--'' She turned to look back at him but he was already going away from her as if he didn't care at all.All she could see was his back.A voice in her head told her to not be stupid and mind her own business but she wasn't going to follow her brain.She wanted to get to know him.Suddenly,this school didn't feel bad at all.She made her way upstairs while her thoughts were filled with him.

After the class ended.She decided to go to the cafeteria.She walked past students.Her eyes seemed to be searching for something--or someone .The warm fragrance of delicious food flared up her nostrils as she entered the cafeteria.She looked up at the buffet which contained appetizing food.Her mouth really watered at the sight of such food.Was it a school cafeteria or did she accidentally enter a hote?.She sat on the chair alone and set her lunchbox atop the table.She held chopsticks and started eating boiled rice with stirred fry salad.

''Ewww,you are eating such a stinky food''. She looked up with all the innocence she had as two girls commented on her lunchbox while making disguested faces.She noticed them.They were wearing makeup and their hair were down.They looked like pared to them,She was just a plain girl.

''I like my lunch.Do you both want to try?.'' She spoke softly.Both girls stared at her as If she offended them. ''What rubbish!.Listen up you girl,We are the prettiest girls of this college.We have sexy bodies and even F4 can't resist us.So show us some respect''.They flicked their hair in a stylish way.''My name is Jia which means good and auspicious and my name is Jiaying which means beautiful and...clever''.Jiaying said 'clever' in a tone meant to scare Xiaoyou.But she wasn't interested in who they were or whatever their names were.She was already eating her lunch.One thing she learned to avoid herself from getting bullied was that she needed to ignore bullies.She won't let anyone annoy her anymore.She remained silent.Both girls uttered a frustrated sigh.''You're ignoring us...How bold--

''OH MY GOD.They're here.F4''.She stopped eating as she heard Jia yell and Xiaoyou saw every student standing up and rushing to the cafeteria door.They all were cheering and shouting excitedly.What's F4?

She stood up from her chair and abruptly,her gaze fell on the four tall and handsome boys who wore arrogant expressions as they kept on walking amidst the space that students had made for them.But she wasn't looking at four of them.They didn't capture her attention.She was now staring at only one boy.Ximen.Her beautiful prince.She was standing at few feets away from him.Her lips curled up in a smile as his gaze fell on her.Cold gaze yet it made her lose her breath and she felt her cheeks heating up.'Hi Ximen.'.She called out and waved a hand but he didn't even spare her a second glance as he walked past her with his friends.He felt like a stranger suddenly.Why is he acting like a stranger?She felt bad.She bit her lips and looked at him from behind.She guessed It wasn't easier to get to know him.But,she won't give up.
