BEN AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY

chapter 1: moving in with uncle Shaggy

My name is Ben Chaos. I am 15 years old and I live with my uncle Shaggy and uncle Scooby, who also has a nephew called scrappy. When I was 10 years old, I lived in the UK. My parents used to work in the construction business. When I say used to, I mean that there was an accident.

I however don't think that a crane capable of lifting 30 tons would break just lifting a measly 5 tons of metal up twenty floors can magically explode causing said 5-ton metal to fall on top of the construction area workstation killing both of my parents.

Because of my parent's death I was taken in by my uncle Shaggy and my Uncle Scooby. I remember it like it was yesterday.

*24 hours after parents' death*

*knock knock* The front door was pounded on.

I walked towards the front door and stopped, I put my ear against the door to listen.

"Like Scooby doo would you calm down" A voice said to another.

"Roory Rhaggy, Rim rush roh rorgrited!" another voice said with what Ben thought was very bad speech.
(sorry Shaggy, I'm just so excited!)

"Aw it's okay uncle Scooby we're excited too." Another voice followed with just as much amusement as excitement in his voice.

Ben has heard enough and unlocked the door, the voices quietened down as they heard the door lock click.

The door opened to reveal a person in his 20's wearing a red t-shirt, with dusty blond hair.
A brown great dane stood next to him, the dog wore a light blue collar with the symbol 'SD' the great dane also had black spots dotted around his body. Next to the great dane stood a small puppy which wore the same coloured collar as the great dane except without the 'SD' in the middle.

"H-Hello I'm Ben, who are you?" Ben asked hesitantly, the three's faces fell when they saw the state of him. Ben's eyes were red and puffy with tear streaks running down his face.

"Like hello I'm Shaggy, this is Scooby Doo, and this is Scrappy doo. And well like I'm your uncle" The lanky adult replied.

"Uncle Shaggy?" Ben asked in a hesitant voice. "it's really you?"

"like wait you know me?" Shaggy asked in a confused tone.

"mum and dad always talked about you; I've also seen you on TV when ever you catch a villain with mystery Inc. I've also watched your funny car races; I love watching them." Ben answered the question while trying and failing to wipe away the tear marks running down his face.

"like it's been awhile since I've done a funny car race. Need to get back into that again." Shaggy said as he remembered all the races, he participated in.

"uhh, do you want to come inside?" Ben asked them.

"like sure, thanks for offering." Shaggy thanked as all four of them walked inside.

They walked into the living room and sat down.

"So, uh anyone want a drink?" Ben asked politely.

"Res Resrehesse" Scooby said. (yes please)

"Alright what drink do you Want?" Ben asked scooby, before stopping and staring at scooby.

"D-Did you just talk?" Ben asked surprised.

"Like you can understand him? I always thought me, and the gang could only understand him." Shaggy said surprised that someone else could.

"Hey Shaggy, what do we do now?" asked Scrappy.

"Like if Ben wants to, he can come and live with us." Shaggy replied to Scrappy's question.

"considering my parents had rival companies that always tried to one up their company, I think that they might make a go for me next. I mean they have in the past while I was at school as well." All three of their faces fell when they heard that.

"like you mean to say that the rival companies have tried to get to your parents through you. Even while you were at school?" Shaggy asked. Ben just nodded.

"Because of that everyone at school stays away from me, I lost all of my friends the first time they tried to get me." Ben replied. The human and 2 dogs looked like they were about to burst into tears.

"like I'm sorry to cut this short Ben but we have to get going soon if we want to be able to catch our ride home, do you want to go and pack by yourself or do you want help?" Shaggy asked while looking at Ben.

"I'd like some help if that's alright, I don't want to be alone right now." Ben replied while looking at the three.

3 hours later

"hey uncle Shaggy are you sure all of my things will fit into your car?" Ben asked at the mountain pile of Ben's things.

"Like I'm very sure." Shaggy said as he sat on back end of his car with the mountain pile of things towering out of it.

And to Ben's disbelief the back end of the car shut full with a loud slam as it took Shaggy, scooby and scrappy to full close the trunk.

"well now that that's sorted time to get going gang." Shaggy followed by a loud yelp as Scooby (who was getting impatient) picked Shaggy up and threw him into the driver's seat.

Now that they had fully finished putting Ben's things into the trunk of the car, he could finally take a good look at Shaggy's car. (it's the same car he uses in the beginning of Scooby doo and the reluctant werewolf)

"hey uncle Shaggy where did you find this car?" Ben asked.

"like well I didn't find it per say, me scooby and scrappy actually built her ourselves." Shaggy replied while turning the key to start the engine.

Ben couldn't find any words for that.

This is the first story I've wrote in about a year now so I'm somewhat rusty. Let me know what you think and if you see any mistakes let me know.
