POT: Crack pairing fun. This idea came to me from Heaven's Gate and just wouldn't leave till I got it down on paper. Hope y'all enjoy this like I did! Wild Blue Sonder was a great help to me, take a look at her!

Kokonoe and Ragna wandered all around the city on a hot-ass day in search of a video game the former had waited months to be released, only for them to discover it was sold out everywhere. Now that night had fallen and the air had cooled, Kokonoe allowed the tranquil ambience of the park Ragna led her through to calm her nerves. However, she couldn't put her finger on why he had decided to take the long way back home.

"Kokonoe." Ragna stopped and faced her.

"What?" Kokonoe felt uneasy about his tense expression. A knot formed in her stomach when Ragna clasped his hands over hers, radiating a heat that made the beastkin queasy.

Ragna took a breath. "We've been living together for almost two years, and've known each other since we were kids."

Kokonoe nodded, her expression caught between confusion and irritation. "I know. Is there something you're trying to say? If so, hurry up. I don't have all night." All Kokonoe wanted to do once inside their humble abode was jump into her sheets and clear the final trophy for Bloodborne. That platinum wasn't going to earn itself.

A tick appeared on Ragna's head. "This is hard, okay!? Shit."

Kokonoe rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Make it quick."

Ragna ignored his mounting anger and dropped to a knee. "You brought me sunshine when I saw only rain..."

"What the FUCK!?"

"Look," Ragna glared at her, a defined blush across his cheeks, "I spent weeks memorizing this shit. You've got nothing important to do besides play games, eat my food, shit, and sleep. After running up the electric bill a hundred dollars more this month and dragging me all over the city for a piece of plastic, you're listening to this." Kokonoe swallowed her reply in regards to that "piece of plastic" and just sighed. "Now then!" Ragna cleared his throat a few times, then continued. "You brought me laughter when I felt pain. When you look at me, my heart skips a beat. I become speechless when our eyes meet. I promise to be your strength whenever you feel weak. I promise to be your voice when you can't find the words. I don't think you can ever feel all the love I have to give, and I'm sure you never realized you've been my will to live. Kokonoe, will you marry me?"

"Is...that it?"

"Is that... Are you kidding me?!" Ragna shot up, his face totally red. "I pour my fuckin' soul out to you, take you into a romantic-ass park to set the mood and everything…"

"To each their own," Kokonoe interjected. "Suddenly taking a girl to park at night without saying anything is a little creepy."

"Not to MENTION!" Ragna almost roared, "I went through so much damn trouble to convince your mom! Do you have any idea how hard it was to make Nine approve of me? That's not even counting the extra hours I put in and all the odd jobs I took to save up for this damn ring, and all you have to say is 'is that it'?!"

A look of genuine surprise came over Kokonoe's face. "You convinced Mother? Huh. You know, come to think of it, you aren't home much anymore. Now it makes sense why you've been so distant…"

"Yes! All of it was for you and the ring. Oh fuck, the ring!" Ragna patted his pockets frantically and was relieved when he pulled out a ring. Despite his erratic state, Ragna made sure to be gentle when slipping it on Kokonoe's finger. "I almost forgot about this shit."

Kokonoe shook her head. "This is so backwards." A small, affectionate smile graced her lips as she appraised the silver ring. Then, her eyes fell to dispassionate slits. "You didn't mean a damn thing you said to me, did you?"

"It was the best I could find on Google," Ragna admitted without shame.

"Even when you propose to me, all I wanna do is hit you." Kokonoe snatched his collar and crushed her lips against his. Staggered by the sudden show of affection, Ragna responded to her kiss a moment later than he would have liked. Kokonoe's impassive mask cracked to display a light flush and her eyes held a serious, yet cute, sharpness to them. "This isn't a prank? You actually want to get hitched? No bullshit."

"No bullshit." Ragna's arms bound her to him.

"Even if all we ever do is piss each other off?" Kokonoe's voice cracked, annoyed how shaky it became. "You seriously seriously wanna go through with this?"

"Seriously." Ragna smiled how indecisive Kokonoe was being, the stark opposite of the brash, foul-mouthed beastkin he had known since childhood. Her mask cracked further, revealing a gentle, more adorable blush having never before graced her features. Ragna had to kiss her again. The hybrid climbed him like a tree with Ragna's aid to lock her limbs around him, moaning against his mouth as they found a fierce rhythm. "Now, say yes." Ragna's soft voice against her lips made Kokonoe's twin tails sway with joy.

Kokonoe laid her head on his shoulder. "You think I'd be stupid enough to say no?"

Ragna's hold tightened. "I just wanna hear you say it."

"Yes. Hell, yes. Better?"

"Much," he chuckled.

"I just wished you chose a more fitting place for this kind of thing," Kokonoe said.

Ragna's brows furrowed, curious. "Somewhere better than the park?"

Ragna didn't see the devilish smirk on her face, but heard it in her response. "Your room."

POT: ANOTHER ANNOUNCEMENT: I have an idea to pad this story out into one-shots, and the next post of these two will either be a continuation of this, OR, an idea I have bubbling that's the stark opposite of this.
