On the planet of Remnant there existed four great kingdoms. These kingdoms were known throughout the lands as the kingdoms of Vale,Vacuo, Mistral and Atlas. These kingdoms were once settlements that rose up and prospered even when they were under the constant threat of the creatures of Grimm. To help combat these creatures each of the kingdoms created elite schools to train Huntsman, highly skilled warriors that defended the kingdom's from the seemingly endless hordes of Grimm. In the kingdom of Vale, the most elite school that many tried to get into was Beacon Academy.

Beacon stood above all the other combat schools, with many claiming that students from Beacon are the best of the best as many famous Huntsman were once students at Beacon.

Currently it was lunchtime at Beacon academy, and all of their students were currently in the cafeteria enjoying their meals. Sitting next to each other were the unofficial sister team consisting of team RWBY and team JNPR.

Currently the leader of team JNPR, Jaune Arc was not paying much attention to his food as by the look in his face it appeared that he had his head in the clouds.

"What's with the long face Jaune?"Asked Ruby Rose, leader of team RWBY and Jaune's best friend.

"...Oh it's nothing Ruby! I'm just you know lost in thought."Responded Jaune.

"Are you sure that's all it is?"

"Come on sis, give vomit boy the benefit of the doubt."said Yang Xiao Long, Ruby's older sister and fellow teammate of team Ruby.

"Great she still calls me by that nickname. Anyway like Yang says I'm fine."

"Yeah I would know if something is bothering fearless leader!"Yelled Nora Valkyrie, the muscle of team JNPR as she was munching on her pancakes at the same time.

"Nora please do not talk with your mouth full."scolded Lie Ren, Nora's childhood friend and fellow team member of team JNPR.

"Sorry Ren."

"But Jaune, Ruby does have a point. I've also noticed that you have been acting strange ever since we return from that trip to Forever Falls."said Pyrrah Niko's, Jaune's teammate and without a doubt the strongest member of team JNPR and maybe the first years.

"... I'm fine guys it just... nevermind."said Jaune

"Oh come on vomit boy, spill your guts. Don't make me tickle you for answers like I do Ruby when she doesn't want to tell me something."said Yang as she was wiggling her fingers.

"Jaune if I were you I would confess right away because she is not playing."said Ruby with absolute seriousness in her voice as she recalled the many times she suffered from Yang's tickle attack.

"...Okay okay I'll talk just don't tickle me please! I've already suffered plenty of tickle attacks from my sisters."said Jaune who also had bad experiences with tickle attacks.

"That's what I thought now spill it."

"It's just, I'm sure you guys don't understand but don't you ever wonder why Ozpin made me leader of team JNPR?"

"Yes all the time, clearly Pyrrah is the superior fighter."said Weiss Schnee, fellow member of team RWBY as well as being the heiress to the Schnee dust company, the largest producers of dust in all of Remnant.

Weiss was completely honest in her answer and was curious as to why everyone was looking at her funny after she spoke her mind.

"What?*

"And you wonder why they call you the Ice Queen?"said Yang, who knew Weiss's personality by now but still was surprised by how cold she could be.

"Hmph...I just said the truth."said Weiss in her defence.

"She's...not wrong."said Jaune as he placed his head on the table. Jaune knew Weiss was right but hearing it out loud still cause pain in his heart.

"See even he agrees."Weiss exclaimed.

"Weiss I think the right now you should just be quiet... otherwise."said Ruby as she pointed her finger at Pyrrah.

Weiss looked at Pyrrah and quickly felt the pressure coming from the four time champion of Mistral and quickly realize that if she kept insulting Jaune, they would be dire consequences."

Weiss and response just let out another hump before turning her head and pouting as she crossed her arms over her chest.

'I just said the truth, there's no reason she has to get that mad."thought Weiss as she was the kind of person who hardly ever admit when they are wrong.

"Okay moving on from the Ice Queen being Ice Queen Jaune you being too hard on yourself I mean Ruby managed to be the team leader even though I'm the strongest."said Yang as she grabbed Ruby and started wrestling her hair playfully.

"Yeah Jaune, I mean you're not very good in a fight but you are the best strategist of the first years."said Ruby as she was trying to get out of her sister's strong grip.

"Gee thanks."said Jaune as that statement honestly didn't make him feel any better.

"Oh...!"said Ruby upon realizing she sort of insulted Jaune.

"Um Blake a little help here!"Yelled Ruby to her teammate.

"Huh?!"said Blake Belladonna, former White Fang member and now member of team RWBY.

"Sorry what were we talking about?"said Blake who wasn't paying any attention as she was reading a book the whole time.

Jaune just let out a huge sigh as Blake and Weiss tried to free Ruby from Yang's grip. Pyrrah upon seeing her teammate and "secret crush" expression quickly put her hand on his shoulder.

"Oh don't worry Jaune, I'm sure Ozpin made you leader because he saw great potential in you."said Pyrrah with a sincere smile on her face.

"...I just, I mean look at you guys. You, Ruby, all of you came to this school ready for everything Beacon had to throw. But look at me! I'm the weakest in combat class, I'm barely keeping up with my studies, and to top it all of I'm the one who always needs to be saved!"exclaimed Jaune, who was clearly very frustrated.

"Oh you're being too hard on yourself fearless leader. After all I'm stronger than Ren but we're still a team in the end right Ren!"said Nora as she was hugging the man in question.

"Nora...let...go!"Yelled Ren who was trying to tap out as he was having a hard time breathing.

"I guess you guys are right."said Jaune as everyone else continued having their meal.

A few hours later Jaune was sitting on the roof. Jaune was Ethan thought as he was staring at the sun just as it was going down and letting moon was beginning to come out.

'I can't tell them the truth, nor can I face once that jerk blow the whistle.' thought Jaune as he recall the conversation he had with team CRDL a few hours before lunch.

[Flashback]

Jaune was in one of the school's bathrooms because he had to answer nature's call. After.he was finished Jaune went over to the sink and began washing his hands. As soon as he was done he started drawing his hands with paper towels just as team CRDL came walking in.

"Well well well,.if it ain't the little faker!"said Cardin Winchester, leader of team CRDL, and the resident racist bully of Beacon.

"What do you want Cardin?!"snarled Jaune,as he looked around for anything to use as a makeshift weapon in case team CRDL got any funny ideas.

"Oh I don't want anything I just want to let you know but I hope you enjoy your final days here at Beacon."said Cardin with an arrogant tone in his voice.

"What? If you think you can blackmail me to be your slave again, you better think twice!"said Jaune as team CRDL began laughing hysterically.

"Look at that, the weakling things you can take us on."said Russel through his hysterical laughter.

"I know talk about pathetic!"exclaimed Dove.

"No Arc, I don't want to make you my slave again you're pretty useless at that I'm just letting you know that tomorrow morning I'm going to tell the whole school your little secret."

"What?! Are you kidding me! I save you're pathetic excuse of a life and you do this to me?"snarled Jaune as he honestly wanted to cave Cardin's face in right then and there.

"I am grateful for you saving me Arc I'm giving you a heads up. After all what kind of guy would I be if I didn't give my savior some kind of respect."

"You want grateful waste of life! How did someone like you even get into this school?!"Yelled Jaune as he was doing his best to contain his anger.

"Wow Arc touchy. Anyway I wonder how your friends will feel once they find out that their lovable goofy night is nothing more than a cheater who got into Beacon with fake transcripts when they had to work so hard to get here. Oh I can already imagine little Ruby's face when she finds out that you lied to her."said Cardin with a wicked smile on his face.

Jaune at that moment I felt like his blood would freeze over at that statement. Cardin was not wrong, how would his friends react? After all they spent years training up their skills so they could have a shot at attending Beacon. But what about him?

His parents never allowed him to attend the combat schools no matter how much he pleaded and begged. All his life Jaune wanted nothing more than to be a Huntsman, but because of his parents objections he never attended any of the combat schools that would have helped them legitimately attend Beacon. No instead Jaune had to resort to less than legal methods to get fake transcripts to allow him to enter his dream school, and hopefully with time he would have adapted and become the Huntsman he truly always wanted to be.

Now Jaune's dream was in jeopardy all because he accidentally revealed his secret to Cardin the night he told Pyrrah everything on the roof.Jaune honestly wanted to beg Cardin then and there to not do this, but Jaune knew better because even if he gave in to Winchester's demands, there was little chance Cardin would keep up his end and most likely reveal his secret anyway, just for kicks.

Jaune said nothing else as he walked by team CRDL with his head down as he exited the bathroom but not before slamming the door in frustration. Jaune could only hear the laughter of team CRDL as he walk down the hallway full of frustration punching a wall before leaving the hallway completely.

[Flashback End]

"Hah, I save his life but instead of being grateful he decides to stab me in the back one last time by revealing my secret to everyone. Just great, I'm the worst student here well now I'm not going to be a student much longer the moment that big jerk opens his big mouth!"said Jaune as he punched another nearby wall in frustration.

"I just can't win. First Mom and Dad won't let me attend combat school because they say it's too dangerous. Then when I finally get into Beacon through less than legal methods it turns out it's a hundred times harder than I expected. I'm way behind my teammates and my friends. And now I'm probably going to lose them since by tomorrow everyone will know that I cheated my way into Beacon."said Jaune as he took out his scroll and pulled up a picture of him with his friends.

"By tomorrow I won't be able to look Ruby or Pyrrah in the face. Yang will probably kick my butt and tell me to stay away from Ruby. Blake I'm not even sure what she'll do. Ren will probably act like I don't exist. Nora will have those sad puppy dog eyes. And Weiss... I can only imagine what she'll do to me but by the end both my heart and my body will be a broken."said Jaune as tears began to fall down his face.

"It's not fair, if I was never meant to be a Huntsman then what is my destiny!"Yelled Jaune as he looked to the night sky.

"I just wish escape from here so I don't have to face the disappointed and hurt looks of my friends."said Jaune as he look towards the night sky not realizing that not too far away something was watching him.

[Jaune Arc, student at Beacon academy learns that his dark secret will soon be revealed. Can Jaune find a way out of this? And who is the mysterious creature watching him with such interest]
