At the end of halo 4 the master chief is fighting on the forerunner artifact the composer. with no time to spare the master chief has to destroy the composer and kill the didact how will he survive the blast radius and save earth what new fights await for him ?

This takes place at the end of halo 4 battle for earth and beginning of mass effect eden prime.

Location: forerunner frigate battle of earth on the composer

The forerunner known as didact is attacking earth. His hatred for mankind is relentless with the composer at his control. Humanity is being wiped out converting them into abomination called Promethean. All hope seems lost, but the hero will rise to the secure humanity future whatever the cost Master Chief petty officer aka spartan john 117 humanity's greatest savior.

Slowly approaching the core of the massive forerunner construct,the Master Chief also known as spartan-117 is scouting the area looking for any surprise attack the didact might have laid for him. He carefully looks back but nothing is there only the void of space and blue lighted bridge that leads to his designated location. He must plant and activate the nuclear bomb to destroy the composer and stop the forerunner weapon from killing anyone else.

(Didact)

You persist too long even after your own defeat.

The master chief looks back again hearing the Didact voice only but not him he begins to pick up the pace with his forerunner weapon at the ready.

(Didact)

Come then warrior have you're resolution.

The masterchief looks back quickly but he is instantly thrown across the bridge by the didact advanced armor. his weapon's are thrown into the slip space portal below him as well as other debris caused by the unsc Infinity super carrier. But the nuke is still on the bridge he still has a chance. The master chief and the didact stare at each other for a quick moment and he sees the nuke. He dashes as fast as he can to grab and activate the bomb, but the didact is too quick. With just a swift gesture of his hand,his armor highly advanced and dangerous lifts the master chief with some sort of gravitational force immobilizing the spartan slowly moving him away from the bomb and hovering him over the emptiness of space by the bridge.

Humanity imprisonment is a kindness.

The didact begins to crush the spartan with his own armour. As he gasps for air the master chief is also struggling to break free from the Didact control. But at that moment the didact notices something the long blue ignited bridge is flickering on and off of it. Its Cortana with all her rampant personalities rising from the bridge taking her form.

(Cortana)

Then you won't mind if we return the favor she said.

(The Didact)

You're compassion for mankind is misplaced.

I'm not doing this for mankind.

She begins to wrap herself around the didact arm and hold him down. It causes him to loose focus on the spartan and release him from his control. He begins to fall but reacts quickly and he reaches out with his hand and grabs on to the bridge and begins to pull himself up. With one grenade left on him he runs toward the didact and plants the grenade, only to be quickly thrown off by him. Ready to make his final move the grenade explodes on the didact severely damaging his armor causing him to lose his balance and fall into the slip space portal. Promethean Knights follow him in trying to save the didact only to disappear into the void of the slip space portal.

"Cortana can you read me?" Said the chief.

"Save them chief !" she said.

I can save you john but I'll have to stay with the composer my time is nearing its end.

No.. that's not.. we go together we can still fix this as he ran to the bomb he noticed the timer was intact. The timer is still good Cortana I can blow the composer and get you off this ship to get fixed. Cortana voice was cracking sounding distorted. " Even after everything I've done you still trust me john?"

"Always" he said.

She looked at the masterchief and smiled

Set the timer for 5 seconds on the bomb. I will integrate with mjolnir. Just like I did in the first battle of earth.

Then you'll need to jump into the portal below.

The master chief didn't flinch, didn't argue or hesitate he did as he was told trusting Cortana judgment. He armed the nuke and jumped into the portal but not before noticing that more Promethean knights followed him in as well.

As he jumped in the portal he could only think, if this was his end, so be it, he always knew he would die protecting humanity it's what he was made to do save humanity whatever the cost. He thought back to one of his early memories as he fell into the stream of slip space, memories of when he was younger with his other fellow Spartan II you will be the protector of humanity and all her colonies.

He began to feel nauseous as the stream of slip space overwhelmed him and soon after becoming unconscious

She saw her whole squad being killed stated Admiral Hackett as 3 men discussed in a conference room. She could have some serious emotional scars. Every soldier has them said captain Anderson She's a survivor. Is that really who we want have protecting the galaxy?It's the kind we need and I know Sheppard is the one two do it. "So it's decided?" said udina all 3 men nodded yes. I'll make the call and make preparations.

The arcturus prime relay is in range. Initiating transmission sequence said Joker over the coms. Jane Shepperd could hear him as she was walking towards the bridge of the normandy.

The board is green every one approaching run towards the relay in 3.2.1. The sound of the mass relay launched the normandy into FTL. Checking all systems said joker navigation check thrusters check emissions sink engaged all systems online we are a drift just under 1500k.

Interesting she said I thought the Prothein disappeared 50,000 years ago? Their legacy remains commander the mass relay the citadel and even our ships drives. It's all based on Prothein technology reverse engineered. This is big, said the captain last time humanity made a discovery this big. It jumped humanity technology almost 200 years ago. Which is why we are going in covertly too pick up the beacon. Eden prime doesn't have the neccessary equipment to handle such a delicate matter. The beacon would be better of in the citadel to be properly studied and looked after by the best scientists the galaxy has.

(Nihlus) this obviously goes beyond me and human interest this could very well change every species in the citadel council.

(Sheppard) why couldn't we just keep the beacon for ourselves? she said.

As she looked to both nihlus and Anderson.

(Nihlus)you humans don't have best reputation he stated some species see you as to selfish and independent, dangerous even.

(ANDERSON) Its not just that commander humanity doesn't have the right equipment and scientific mind to study the artifacts. But mostly if we share this with the citadel council it would improve relations show them how far humanity has come as species. We want a bigger role in galactic interstellar policy.

The commander asked Nihlus I'm assuming there is more to this then just the beacon.

You are correct commander. Humanity has pushed as well to put a human as part of the spectre elite forces you would work directly for the citadel council preserving the peace and uphold the justice of citadel law. It's a great honor to be apart of this elite task force commander.

Before he could finish Joker interrupted the 3 of them. Ummm captain we got a situation.

What is it? said Anderson. We got a distress signal from eden Prime it looked bad he said.

Show me on the screen he said. As they viewed the video the system Alliance soldiers battleing it out with a. Unknown enemy. We are under attack the soldier said taking heavy casualties. Before he could finish he was immediately gunned down. But not before showing something on the video feed a gigantic squid looking ship appeared from the dark clouds descending on the city a horrible sound came from the ship. Before they could see what it completely looked like the video feed caught off and ended the transmission.

(Anderson)

This mission just got alot more complicated said Anderson. Commander he said I'm gonna need you Jenkins and kaiden ready once we arrive. Gear up!

They are coming he said as he overlooked the devastated city. He looked around preparing and destroying evidence of their existence. I am doing what I have to to preserve life in the galaxy. As he turned a synthetic robot a geth walked towards him.

But we have encountered an unknown anomaly in the atmosphere of eden prime. Ohh did you now was iit system Alliance ships? did the citadel send reinforcements to aid this pathetic and doomed planet? As he looked and spoke to geth

Negative the anomaly was too small to be a ship we acquired its anticipated landing location just about 2 kilometers away from here. I've dispatched a small group of geth to investigate it.

No matter Saren said we will be gone by then.

Very well he said we will continue our work in acquiring and destroying the beacon. See that you do saren said.

away from Prothein beacon

Falling from the sky rapidly and on fire an unconscious super soldier lands on the ground creating a big crater in the dirt.

(Cortana) chief! Chief please Wake up. I need you.

As he slowly began to move his hands and slowly open his eyes. He spoke softly and calls out Cortana?

(Cortana) I'm here John I'd thought I'd lost you.

Yes it worked with just, enough time to get both of us out of there the portal collapsed just as we made it through. He thought about it for a moment and was relieved as if a great burden was lifted of his shoulders little did he know the mission was just getting started. He looked at his surroundings. Where are we? He asked cortona. Unknown but this is definitely not earth. He stood still for a second and looked to the sky. He noticed it was dark and red cloudy like dark smoke in the atmosphere. He looked up ahead north from his position where he saw what appeared to be a small settlement. We need to move and find a way out of here get back to earth. To make sure it's safe after all the damage the didact had caused he needed to be sure that earth was ok. Agreed the blue A.I said but you don't look too well and we should find you medical support she said. I'll be ok the chief said to her. But what about you how are you feeling cortana? If I'm being honest, most of me got destroyed on the forerunner ship. I've lost a lot of intel and might not be as useful as I was. I'll have to learn and adapt again and relearn a few things. Think of it as an amnesia for an A.I its fractured Intell that has been damaged or destroyed completely. . It would take a Long time for me to try and reconstruct all the data information bits. As the ships hovered over the Street he noticed these strange cybernetic machines. Coming out of it small drones as well unlike anything he and Cortana have ever seen. Has the unsc been working on new military projects? I doubt it she said. Stand by observe what they are doing he heard them speaking in a wierd noise. Do you know what they are saying Cortana? . Its strange they appear to be some sort of A.I it will take me a while to decode their language. As he took cover behind the vehicle he noticed what the machine were doing they were picking up the corpses and putting them on what seemed like an alter as they placed them on them a spike of some sort Pearceed the corpse through their bodies. My god Cortana said that's not unsc or covenant. We need to move, wait she said I'm getting a strange reading some sort of distress beacon I'm locking into it and setting a waypoint. As he began slowly moving through the street and quietly he hard a loud cry for help.

HELLLPPP PLEASE DONT KILL ME. The machine pulled the human civilian and were ready to put him on the alter. Cortana yelled Chieffff you've got to save him he might have some answer or intell on what going on. The master chief sprung Into action and rushed toward the group of machine with his beam rifle at the ready and told them to stand down. The 8 machine turned towards him letting go of the civilian with a new objective on their list. It spoke and Cortana said finished decoding their code translating now.

Looks like we are doing this the hard way Cortana said. As the machine began to fire at the chief they noticed that he was dodging all their shots his reflexes were unusually quick. The chief began to shoot back instantly destroying the synthetic picking them off one by one with his rifle. Looks like the beam rifle works well on these machines.

(Geth) Revaluating target take extreme caution unknown enemy using lethal weapons. Top priority kill and retrieve unknown technological weapon.

The chief noticed that they were beginning to change tactics they began landing hits on him. It's a good thing his energy shields were working well against them hes never seen the type of weapons they were shooting him with.

(Geth) Enemy is sustainable against our weapons. Unknown kenetick shields of orgin. Scanning….. complete, not kinetic barrier Energy shields.

Take EXTREME CAUTION…. HOSTILE lethal.

Cortana spoke to the geth through the comms "sweety you have no idea."

(Geth) Scanning Unknown hostile equipped with synthetic of unknown origin Calling for reinforcements.

(Cortana) oh no you dont she said to the machine. As she began to block the signal from going out. She told the Chief now would be a good time to take them out she said.

The masterchief agreed he rushed towards them with such speed the geth didnt take to account that a non synthetic could move that fast. He began blasting them with his rifle each shot landing right through their heads one after another until finally the last one stood.

(GETH) Enemy has eliminated all geth in the vasinity.

Reinforcements back up unsuccessful signal blocked by unknown synthetic A.I

The last thing the geth saw was the metal gauntlet of the this new found foe ripping its head apart. That wasn't so bad she said looks like forruner tech is superior to whatever they were using. Who were they chief said idk maybe ONI started a classified project? it called itself a geth right before you destroyed it. Or maybe the the covenant started creating their own version of Promethean knights. I dont think so its unlike any covenant tech I've ever seen that and it's not based on plasma properties. That's true he said his energy shield was more resilient to it then anything the covenant or the forruner shot him with. And it said unknown hostile Spartans must not be too well known. Maybe we somewhere in the outer colonies?

Chief thought about it for a moment it could be local inserctionist creating new ways to attack the unsc. We have to investigate he said, agreed Cortana said we can start with the civilian. I think he ran towards that building. The chief took off to pursue the civilian he found him crying shook by fear in his eyes. He yelled and begged.

So frightened almost turned white and pale at the sight of this giant humanoid figurine with a golden visor towering over him by like almost 3 feet. In a olive green with steel armour. I dont want to die. The masterchief extended his arm towards him. Dont be afraid I'm not gonna hurt you it said. You arnt ? He replied no I'm with special forces from the unsc what's the situation here? He stopped in relief I've never seen a special forces soldier like you before you must be with the citadel counci a spectrel And here because of the geth situation. He looked at him the civilian couldn't see the spartan face but he felt like he didn't know what he was talking about. Negative I'm with the unsc the military branch of the United earth government. Now the CHIEF SAW A LOOK OF CONFUSION AS if he didn't know what he was talking about. I've never heard of the unsc I know about the system Alliance and its military branch you must be part of a more secret special forces only sent when things are really bad. I saw you how you destroyed those geth like they were nothing and how you ripped that other one with your bear hands boy am I glad your with earth.
