Prologue
Mikoto Uchiha sat in dejected silence in the back of the village council room as the court martial of her youngest child was about to be concluded. The last few weeks was perhaps the most embarrassing moment in her entire life as Sasuke's actions during his brief tenure as a Konoha ninja were brought to light. With each new witness brought forward to testify, it became clear as to how far the young Uchiha was willing to go in order to get more power. As much as she wanted to deny everything that was being said about her son, she couldn't argue with several psychiatrists from the Yamanaka clan.
"Where did I go wrong with him? Maybe I'm cursed to give birth to boys that will commit horrific actions against others." The Uchiha Matriarch sadly thought to herself as she recalled the fact that out of her three children, only her daughter remained a loyal and productive member of the village.
Mikoto glanced over to her right and saw that her middle child was still sitting next to her with arms crossed underneath a very impressive bust. Despite never awakening the sharingan, Taki Uchiha was viewed by many in the village as a prodigy and the deadliest kunoichi of her generation. Unlike with Itachi, she was never really received any sort of praise for her abilities from the clan as she couldn't activate the clan's famed kekkei genkai. Most of the clan tended to view her with disdain as she was proving that one didn't need the sharingan to be a great ninja. To avoid any sort of conflict with the rest of the clan, Taki moved into an apartment that was located near the Hokage's mansion. Ironically, this ostracism was the very reason that both she and her daughter had survived the Uchiha massacre.
"Don't blame yourself for Sasuke's idiotic decisions, mother. He has dug his own grave and now it's time for him to lay in it." Taki said with her eyes closed as she waited for the jury to return with their verdict.
Mikoto wanted to scold her daughter for being so dismissive of her younger brother's situation, but found that she couldn't do it. Right up to Sasuke's graduation from the academy, Taki had constantly advocated for his removal from the shinobi training program for psychological reasons. However, the matriarch couldn't stomach the idea of destroying her son's goal of becoming a ninja by doing such a thing.
"I know, but I can't help but blame myself for not listening to your warning about his mental stability." The mother of three sadly replied to her middle child.
Taki softly hummed as she acknowledged what her mother had said to her. The sixteen-year-old Jōnin already knew the fate that awaited her younger brother if he was found guilty of the numerous crimes that he had been accused of committing during his defection attempt. The fact that out of the thirty-four witnesses that had been called to testify before the Hokage and the jury, only two of them had spoken in favor of Sasuke. However, the most damning testimony came from the most unlikely of places.
When Naruto Uzumaki had been called to the stand, everyone expected him to do the same thing as Sakura Haruno and Kakashi Hatake had done. Instead, he had surprised everyone and told the truth about the actions that Sasuke had committed during their time at the academy and on missions. The fact that the young blonde had given his word as a ninja was enough to convince everyone that he was being sincere about his testimony. After all, the boy had developed such a well-known reputation for never going back against his word that most people knew he was telling the truth.
"It takes a lot of courage to do the right thing when being pressured not to do it. Your parents would be proud of you, Naruto-kun." Taki thought to herself as she opened an eye to see a mope of spiky blonde-hair sitting in front of the council chamber.
Just then, Tsunade and the shinobi council returned from the conference chamber that they retreated to after hearing the closing arguments from the prosecution and defense. Each one of them had a grim expression on their face as they moved towards their seats at the very front of the room. Once they were all seated, Tsunade pulled out a small scroll that contained the list of charges that Sasuke was accused of committing and cleared her throat.
"I will now read off each of the crimes and reveal the verdict. It will start with the most serious crime and work our way down to the least serious." Tsunade proclaimed as she opened up the scroll that listed ten crimes that Sasuke had been accused of.
While some of the lesser crimes would only result in prison time by themselves, the more serious one carried the death penalty if found he was guilty of them.
"For the crime of treason against the Hi no Kuni, we find Sasuke Uchiha…guilty." Tsunade announced as everyone in the room just looked down in shame at the proclamation.
This was a serious stain on the village's honor that would take several generations to remove. In the entire history of the village, you could count the amount of people convicted of that crime across the continent with one hand and still have fingers left over. This kind of crime simply wasn't done by ninja or samurai for that matter.
"For the crime of desertion during a wartime setting.….guilty." The Hokage continued to read off the charges without noticing the mood in the room.
Mikoto was fighting to keep herself from crying. But she knew that things were only going to get worse from her.
"For the crime of attempted murder in the first degree….guilty." Tsunade listed off the next the charge and the verdict.
From the other side of the aisle, Kakashi and Sakura were glaring murderously at Naruto as they blamed him for not defending Sasuke like they wanted him to do. The fact that they had lied under oath to protect their wayward student and teammate meant they were facing possible jail time and a reduction in rank as punishment.
"For the crime of assault and battery…guilty." Tsunade ranted off as she ignored the murderous intent that Kakashi and Sakura were producing.
At this point, tears were streaming out down Mikoto's face as Taki tried to comfort her.
"For the crime of theft..guilty." The Hokage finished reading with the least serious crime before sitting down in her seat.
By now, everyone knew that Sasuke was going to be sentenced to death for his crimes as he was considered an adult in shinobi world. They were just grateful that he been removed from the room after biting one of the Anbu agents that were trying to restrain him after a witness had given a particularly damning testimony. The Anbu ninja had lost two fingers and Sasuke gained an additional charge against him.
"By the power invested in me by the people of Konohagakure and by the daimyō of Hi no Kuni, Sasuke is hereby sentenced to be boiled alive for his heinous crimes. Additionally, his sharingan is to be permanently sealed away to prevent anyone from using it for nefarious purposes. This court is dismissed." Tsunade proclaimed before banging her gavel.
As everyone got up from their seats to leave, Taki remained seated next to her mother as she acted like the consoling daughter for her mother. Inwardly, she was smirking to herself as it was now time to implement her plans to ensure that the Uchiha name or the Sharingan won't carry over into the next generation. All she needed to do now is to wait awhile before having a nice little chat with her mother about a certain Uzumaki boy.
"I'm going to fulfill that marriage contact that you and Lady Kushina had signed. You'll make such a lovely dowry gift for my future husband, mother." Taki thought to herself as her black eyes briefly turned into red to reveal the Sharingan before reverting back to normal.

Profile: The middle child of Fugaku Uchiha and Mikoto Uchiha, Taki is considered to be one of the greatest kunoichi that Konohagakure has ever produced. Graduating from shinobi academy at the tender age of seven, she entered into an apprenticeship under the watchful eyes of Danzō Shimura. While most of her service record is highly classified, it is known that she maintains an astonishing ninety-percent mission success rate in comparison to the average sixty-percent success rate of most ninja. At some point, she learned to use a pair of kodachi as her main means of attacking foes.
While most ninja families and clans would be proud to have someone like her as a part of their ranks, it had been noted that most Uchiha viewed her with distrust and disdain. It is widely-believed that this is due to the fact that she achieved such infamy without the use of a sharingan. This social distancing by her clan would eventually make her move into an apartment away from the rest of the Uchiha clan. Ironically, this ostracism proved to be her saving grace as she wasn't anywhere near the Uchiha clan's compound on the night of the massacre.
Recently, she has taken a very special interest in the development of Genin Naruto Uzumaki. The reasons for this is currently unknown at this time.
To start this Author's note off, I would like to apologize to all of my reader about not updating any of my stories for awhile. I've been extremely busy with my job for the last few years and this coronavirus business has kicked everything into high gear as we're struggling to meet orders for hand sanitizer dispenser stands. I strongly implore everyone to be responsible and not do anything stupid like throwing massive parties on beaches. I pray to god that we don't have a repeat of the Spanish Influenza pandemic of 1918-1920.
Anyways, a brand new stories that centers around Mikoto Uchiha, an OC female Uchiha character, and Naruto Uzumaki. Now I'm using Taki from Soul Caliber as a basis for Taki Uchiha. This means she'll have the physical appearance of Soul Calibur Taki, but her personality is going to different. Now this going to be a short story with five chapters at the very most. With any luck, this story will generate enough interest for me to move onto a couple of sequels that I have in mind.
