Demonslayer Huntress-1
"Hey Scythe, you got a sec? I need some help on this…" Uraraka stopped talking when she came into her interdimensional traveler classmate's dorm room, with a sheet of paper for their art class, only to find Scythe setting up a magic circle on a foldable piece of wood, against the wall, while said cat eared, triple color haired girl, was in her Argonaut Form, dressed with a white hooded cloak over her body, with her hero costume underneath. "Uh… what are you doing?"
"Um… promise not to tell anyone Ochako?" Scythe asked, clasping her hands together in a prayer motion.
"Depends. Are you doing something that breaks the law?" Uraraka questioned.
"Unless it's illegal the break the laws of physics, no." Scythe chuckled, as Uraraka came in and closed the door behind her. "Right now, I'm trying to complete my report on the Taisho Period for Midnight's class, and if I'm being honest, history isn't my best subject."
"I would imagine not, since you're not from earth. But how exactly are you trying to complete your report?" Uraraka questioned.
"I'm going back in time to the Taisho Period of course." Scythe chuckled. "You're more than welcome to join me if you wish. Get a taste of what life was like back then."
"I'm good." Uraraka said. "Wait, you can travel through time?" Uraraka asked, sounding shocked.
"Well, yeah so long as I have this magic circle." Scythe said tapping the board of wood. "If you're not gonna come with me, then can you do me a favor?"
"What's up?" Uraraka inquired.
"While I'm gone can you make sure nothing happens to the magic circle? If even a single mark gets added or altered to the magic circle, I'm screwed and won't be able to come back until it's reversed. I'd really appreciate it, and as payment I'll help you with your project for Midnight's class by sharing my notes." Scythe exclaimed.
"Sure no problem Scythe. How long do you think you'll be?" Uraraka asked.
"Well, for me, it's gonna take a while, but for you, it shouldn't be more than an hour." Scythe said hoisting her guitar onto her back.
"What's with bringing your guitar?"
"Something to do in case I get bored while I'm camping out." Scythe exclaimed.
"All right, I'll be here when you get back." Uraraka smiled.
"Thank you so much." Scythe smiled before she turned and placed her hand on the circle.
Pouring her time magic into it, Scythe caused the magic circle to glow, and enveloped her before she was gone in a puff of smoke.
"Alright, time to grab a book from the shelf, and wait." Uraraka said, grabbing a book of Scythe's shelf, and sitting at her desk to read it.
~55Minutes Later~
"Mmmm." Uraraka groaned, stretching out as she finished with reading the chapter. "Scythe should be back in a few minutes. I'm sure the magic circle will be all right long enough for me to go grab a snack."
Uraraka picked herself up from Scythe's desk and went out the door and to her room, to grab some of the snacks she kept in her mini-fridge. When she came back, she was shocked to see Ashido in Scythe's room, no doubt planning on pulling a prank on her neighbor, as the two had been going at it in a prank war for the last week now. But what horrified her was when Ashido used her acid to draw her face onto the center of the magic circle, connecting it to the circle like the strings of a dream catcher from the American Native Tribes.
"Mina what the hell?" Uraraka questioned stopping her pink skinned friend, and going to examine the damage.
"What's the matter Ochako? I was just pulling a prank on Scythe's art project for the School Festival." Ashido said.
"This wasn't Scythe's art project. This was Scythe's portal through time." Uraraka stated, before the circle began to light up, and magic electricity sparked around the circle before it died down in a non-lethal explosion, which sent Uraraka and Ashido to the ground on their butts.
"What was that?" Ashido questioned.
"If I had to guess… that was Scythe attempting to return to the present." Uraraka groaned.
"Well why didn't it work?" Ashido questioned.
"Because you damaged the actual circle part. Since it's damaged, Scythe can't return to the present, and is stuck in the Taisho Period." Uraraka stated.
"Well, what are we gonna do now?" Ashido questioned, concern and panic raising in her voice.
"We'll think of something. Maybe we could ask Yang's friend Merlin for help, she's a magic user to, I'm sure she could reverse this." Uraraka stated.
"We're so screwed if Yang ever finds out about this." Ashido stated.
"What are you screwed for if Yang finds out about it?" The voice of Ruby Rose, questioned appearing in the doorway. "I heard a small explosion and came to see what the commotion was about. Where's Scythe, and what are you doing in her room?"
"It's a long story." Uraraka said, nervously scared, and right to be so, as Ruby's temper was known to be just as bad as Yang's when it came to matters of family.
~Taisho Period~
"Damn it." Scythe groaned rubbing her head as she sat up. "I thought Uraraka was watching the magic circle for me. Now I'm stuck here until whatever's been done to it, has been reversed."
Scythe took the guitar case off her back, and opened it, revealing the guitar was untouched by the backlash of the failed spell.
"At least I'll still be able to play it." Scythe sighed. "Anyways, I think it best if I lay low for a while. This charm I'm wearing does hide my appearance from any prying eyes, the only thing is my hair stays the same. The only thing hidden is my scales, ears, cartilage spikes, and pupils. So I can pass for human." Scythe put her guitar back on her back, noticing the sun was setting, either that or it was rising, and realizing she was still out on the open road. "Damn, I should probably set up camp." She said looking around to find a place to set up camp. "It looks like I'm back to my original looks, so I guess I don't have a timer for this stay."
"Hey."
Scythe looked up to see a young man walking towards her wearing hanafuda earrings, a large scar on his forehead, dark auburn hair, wearing a blue, cloud-patterned jinbei-styled kimono and black pants, a gentle look on his face, on the left side of his head, sat a fox style kabuki mask.
"Uh hi, is there something I can help you with?" Scythe asked.
"Not really, I just thought you looked tired, have you been walking all night?" He asked. "Oh, where are my manners? My name is Tanjiro Kamado."
'Well, I'm probably going to be in this era for a while, so I should give him a name to call me by. I'm not sensing any malicious intent coming from him, so I guess I could trust him, but if I'm wrong, I could always run with my lightning magic. I could possibly learn more about the Secret Demonslayer Core that's barely written in the history books if I follow him.' Scythe thought. "My name's Athena."
"It's a pleasure to meet you." Tanjiro smiled. "If you're needing a place to stay, I'm sure my Sensei is willing to accommodate you for a while. Just follow the trail I just came down, and you'll come across a cabin, inside is a man with a tengu mask similar to my kabuki mask. His name is, Sakonji Urokodaki, he's a nice guy once you get to know him."
"Thank you." Athena smiled. "May I ask where you're going?"
"I'm going to Final Selections. I'm a Demonslayer in training." Tanjiro said.
'You just tell a stranger that so casually I worry about your mental health.' Athena thought. "Well I'm actually on my way to Final Selections to. Maybe we can go together."
"No kidding. Where's your sword?" Tanjiro asked.
Athena looked Tanjiro over one more time, and noticed that he had a katana at his side.
"Right here." Athena smiled, pulling out the collapsed form of her long katana.
"Uh, that's your katana?" Tanjiro questioned.
"It might not look like much, but I can assure you, it is a dangerous weapon." Athena smiled.
"That's impressive. I'll have to take your word for it." Tanjiro smiled. "I can't wait to see you in action."
'Seriously, did you brain get damaged when you got that scar? You trust people way too easily.' Athena mentally screamed as she began walking with him. "So, what's with the mask?"
"Oh, it's something Urokodaki gave me before I left for Final Selections." Tanjiro smiled. "I like your hair, those three vibrant colors look good on you."
"Whoa, easy there Romeo." Athena chuckled. "You're not my type."
"I-I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that I was just saying…"
"Relax I'm messing with you." Athena smirked. "But seriously, I'm not into guys."
"Oh, well if that's your preference, then I don't see any reason as to why I should think of you differently." Tanjiro said with a smile.
'Huh, the Taisho Period wasn't very nice towards Gays and Lesbians, so it's kinda surprising to find someone who is.' Athena thought. 'Maybe he doesn't have brain damage, he's just really nice.'
~Final Selections Mountain Side~
"So Sabito and Makomo helped you finish your training?" Athena inquired as they walked through the wisteria covered path up the mountain.
"Yeah, two long years of training have finally paid off." Tanjiro smiled.
"I'm glad I could meet someone as interesting as you." Athena chuckled, amused by his enthusiasm. 'This is bad, I'm almost out of time for my Argonaut form. I need to find a secluded area to undo it and rest, or consume some fire.' Athena thought. 'Maybe if I consume some wisteria I'll regain my magic energy, I mean, plants are part of the earth, and I have revitalized my magic eating spinach before, so I guess it couldn't hurt.' She pondered grabbing a freshly fallen vine of wisteria from the ground. 'Come to think of it, I could even consume the air around me to refill my magic if I needed to. I just gotta make it look like one of those breathing techniques Tanjiro mentioned.'
"Ah, wisteria is beautiful. But I thought it was out of season this time of year." Tanjiro said.
"Maybe it grows all year round on this mountain?" Athena suggested pocketing the branch. "Either way I hear it's good for warding off demons, and for treating infections."
"You know about medicines?" Tanjiro questioned.
"Somewhat, I've been known to let off a melody that can heal someone if they just listen to it." Athena smiled. 'In all honesty, that only happens if I produce my healing magic through my singing voice.'
"Wow, so you can heal someone of any illness?" Tanjiro questioned.
"Hmm? Well I'm not entirely sure about that. I mean theoretically I could, but that hasn't been proven yet." Athena stated as they began to walk up the steps.
"Please, after Final Selections, you have to come with my back to Urokodaki's place. If there's even a possibility you can heal any sort of ailment then I need you to look at my sister." Tanjiro said grabbing her by the shoulders, stopping in the middle of the steps.
"My medical services don't come free you know." Athena stated.
"I'll give you anything you want, name your price, but please you have to try and help her if you can." Tanjiro said, a plea of desperation in his eyes.
"All right fine." Athena sighed. "Listen, if either of us survive this, I'll go and have a look at your sister, but I can't promise you a single thing will change. You have to tell me what's wrong with her."
"I… I can't, not here." Tanjiro exclaimed.
"Fine. You can tell me on the way back to your Sensei's home." Athena sighed marching up the steps.
When they reached the top, they were shocked to find so many people were applying for the Final Selections.
"So many people." Tanjiro said.
"No kidding." Athena confirmed.
"Good evening." A pair of twins with black and white hair said, greeting them all. Each of them was holding a paper lantern, reminding Athena of a scene from, the Shining. "Tonight, you've come to enter into the Demonslayer Cores Final Selection. Thank you all for being here."
"Here on Mt. Fujikasane, there are several demons that were captured alive by Demonslayer Swordsmen. They are kept here for this event." The white haired twin said.
"The wisteria blossoms prevent them from leaving. They bloom on this mountain year round." The black haired twin said. "An' they cover everything from the base to half way to the top."
"Huh, called it." Athena chuckled.
"But the wisteria ends here, so demons are bound, from this point on." The white haired twin exclaimed. "An' they're very hungry."
"In order to complete final selection, you must survive for seven days beyond the wisteria's protection." The black haired twin continued.
"Now. Your trial begins." They said in unison.
"Guess we made it here, just in time." Athena stated.
"Guess so." Tanjiro said, steeling his nerves with a look of confidence before the two of them traveled higher up, into the mountains.
Late into the hours of the night, Tanjiro and Athena were running through the tall grass, avoiding any demons either of them picked up with their senses.
"Athena, you know what to do?" Tanjiro questioned.
"Of course, we must survive, and not think about anything other than that, if we are to make it through Final Selections." Athena said. "We stick together, that way our odds of survival are increased."
"Right." Tanjiro exclaimed. "We just have to make it through the night, once the sun comes up, the demons won't be able to do anything unless they are suicidal; that'll be our chance to rest."
"We'll have to take turns on guard duty though. But for now, we need to head east, to where the sunlight will hit first." Athena exclaimed. 'So demons can die when exposed to sunlight huh? Good to know.'
"Yeah." Tanjiro agreed, as they began running through the forest of the mountain.
"Hold up." Athena said, a nasty tank scent catching her sense of smell. "A demon is nearby. I'll handle it."
Athena put her guitar on Tanjiro's back, and pulled out her collapsed long blade katana, before opening it with a zen-roll around her wrist.
Athena closed her eyes, using her sense of smell and hearing to pin it down, when she was sure it was about to strike, she immediately opened her eyes, and lining her blade with black flames, swung upwards in an arc motion, decapitating the demon, and leaving it to die at the burns of the holy flames.
'Thankfully my senses are sharp enough to where I can easily pick up the invisible thread Tanjiro spoke about. But… for some reason, I can smell sorrow and regret coming off the burning the demon as it turned to ash.' Athena thought looking back at the demon's clothing. 'Seems these creatures have similarities to Grimm, I shouldn't be surprised. Tia and Luna did make both Remnant, and after that Earth.'
"Athena look out." Tanjiro shouted.
Athena turned around instantly, using her blade to block an oncoming strike from the demon that approached her from behind.
Athena clicked her teeth, and kicked the demon in the torso, sending it skidding back, before she threw her cloak at it, to blind him momentarily before he tore it to shreds. The demon looked up to see she was gone, before its head rolled to the ground as Athena stood beside it, swinging her blade forward as the body disintegrated in a heap of black ice and she collapsed her blade placing it on the small of her back.
Due to the lack of a cloak, Athena's outfit was completely visible to Tanjiro. Her hero costume was form fitting, and consisting of a black titanium based carbon fiber mesh undershirt, with a breastplate similar to Pyrrha Nikos's, scarlet red with gold trimmings, only instead of being made of metal, it was made of the same fiber her undershirt was comprised of, in fact every part of it was comprised of the material, with form fitting black pants, and combat heeled boots.
The vambraces were simple in design, black for the fabric, and white for the metallic parts on the back of her forearms and hands, that were magnetically attached to the fingerless gloves under them. The top was sleeveless and left her back from the shoulder blades up, exposed, allowing for her to spread her wings if she needed to. The attire was finalized with a red sash tied around her waist, just like how Pyrrha would tie hers, with a new addition of a 14cm-x-7cm metal plate pinned through the fabric of the sash.
"A-Athena that was incredible but… what are you wearing?" Tanjiro questioned, blushing at how revealing the suit was to her form's H-Cup chest.
"Hmm? This style of clothing is natural where I come from." Athena said. 'Not a total lie. I'm just not telling him I'm from nearly four hundred years into the future.'
"Oh, I see. Well then I guess I shouldn't assume anything negative. I apologize if I insulted you in any way." Tanjiro said, handing her back her guitar case.
"Thanks." Athena smiled, before they both went wide eyed and plugged their noses. "What the hell is that awful smell?" Athena questioned, pinching her nose shut.
"I have no idea, but it's coming from over there." Tanjiro said, turning to where the small was coming from, Athena following his gaze.
"AAAHHHHH." A contestant of the Final Selections shouted running past the two of them, catching their attention, running in the opposite direction the smell was coming from.
"What the hell? I didn't sign up for this." He said running faster through the trees.
"What?" Tanjiro asked as they looked in the direction he came running from, both of them freezing seeing a large demon, with sickly dark green skin, with multiple hands all over his giant fat body, many of which were wrapped around his neck. The instant Tanjiro caught sight of the demon, he turned back around, hiding behind the tree.
"As if hiding it gonna do any good against that thing." Athena exclaimed.
"My God, what is that?" Tanjiro questioned.
"If I had to make a guess. I'd say it's the most powerful demon on the mountain." Athena exclaimed.
As the Final Selection candidate continued to run, he tripped over a tree branch, no doubt scared out of his mind.
"What's this mutated demon doing here?" He questioned. "Nobody said anything."
The demon stepped closer to the downed candidate, holding another, lifeless candidate, in one of his many hands.
The demon paused in its walking, stopping long enough to devour the candidate whole, with sickening crunching sounds echoing from its monstrous mouth.
'Swallowed whole.' Tanjiro thought in horror.
'Not good, if that demon were to eat me, it would gain my magical abilities, as well as the Quirks I have in my Darkness Form.' Athena thought as she noticed the demon's mass was increasing from devouring that candidate. 'I need to be careful.'
The one candidate that had been running picked himself up and began to create some distance between himself and the demon again. The demon had other plans as it reached out one of its arms, with many more grabbing onto it, before it bulked up, and four arms sprung out and one of them latched onto the boy's leg.
"No." Athena called out as she went running towards the demon unleashing her long katana to slice the arm, as she enhanced her speed and strength with One-for-All, before ricocheting off a tree, and grabbing the young man she just saved. "Tanjiro." She shouted, throwing him at her friend.
"On it." He called out, before catching him.
Athena reached into the folds of her sash and pulled out a full face mask, resembling a White Fang Paladin Militant's Mask. Its make was similar to Tanjiro's kabuki mask, but the design painted onto the pattern was different unlike most militant's masks. The red marks engraved into the mask, were actually of her own design, not resembling any sort of markings on any recorded Grimm in Remnant's files. It was designed to hide her cat ears from a front view perspective.
'Mama was a bit concerned when I forged this mask. But she accepted it, when I explained, it was to represent what the White Fang used to be, not what it currently is.' Athena said.
The demon looked to both Athena and Tanjiro as he came to her side, and noticed both their masks.
"Is the other guys safe?" Athena asked, her voice sounding a bit muffled due to her mask.
"Well look at that. It's a couple more of those sweet little foxes." The demon said, sounding cheerful.
"Another?" Tanjiro questioned.
'Hold on, from the sound of it… has he always been targeting Urokodaki's students? But why?' Athena questioned.
"Say, fox cubs." The demon said, several arms growing out of the stump Athena cut. "They year, are we still in Meiji?"
"Meiji? It's the Taisho Period." Athena stated.
"Taisho?" The demon questioned, rolling its eyes to them, before it let out a monstrous scream, as if it had just experienced the most excruciating pain ever. "Already? We have passed into a new period? Again, and I'm still stuck inside this wisteria prison."
"This demon is insane. He must have been locked up here on this mountain for decades." Athena exclaimed.
"AAAAHHHHH. Unforgivable, unforgiveable." The demon repeated as it threw a tantrum. "Damn you, Urokodaki. Damn you, damn you, damn you."
"You know Urokodaki?" Tanjiro questioned.
"Of course I do. Urokodaki's the one who captured me and brought me here." The demon said. "But that was forty seven years ago now. Back when he was still hunting demons like me. The Edo Period, during the Keio Era."
"No way, Edo Period?" Tanjiro questioned.
"That can't be true. No demon could ever live that long in here… unless…" Athena said, as realization came to her. "You weren't just eating humans were you? You were also eating other demons, cannibalizing yourself to survive, long enough to get revenge on Urokodaki."
"Quite the sharp mind on you little one. That is how I've managed to survive here all this time." The demon said. "Trapped in this flowery cage, I've managed to devour at least fifty of your brats."
"Fifty?" Tanjiro questioned in shock.
"Eleven." The demon said, holding up four hands, each with a different set of numbers. "Twelve, thirteen. That means you're numbers fourteen and fifteen."
"What are you talking about?" Tanjiro questioned.
"Urokodaki's students…" Athena said, her bad feeling coming to light. "That's how many of his students this demon as eaten. He's got a personal grudge against your Sensei, and since he can't get to him, he takes his anger out on his students, by devouring them. An' he thinks I'm one of them."
"Hehehe… I promised myself I'd kill every single one of them." The demon said gleefully. "You know, the ones who stood out to me the most, were those two. Ah yes, the boy's hair was an unusual shade of pink, a scar by his mouth. He was the most powerful of the lot. The other one was a girl who wore a flowery kimono. Small, not much power, but awfully agile."
"Wait, no you couldn't be talking about Sabito and Makomo." Tanjiro said in disbelief. "They… they helped me train, they helped me to cut through the boulder to qualify for final selections."
"Tanjiro…" Athena said gaining his attention. "Those were their spirits. They cannot rest in peace, until the demon that killed them, has been taken out."
"Your mask." The demon said pointing to the masks they wore. "That's what gives you away as one of Urokodaki's brats. Easy to spot the texture of one of the masks he's carved. They always match the style of the tengu mask he wears. He calls them warding masks right? Except that's how I pick out who to eat, but I'm not sensing any warding coming off her mask."
"That's because I'm not a student of his." Athena growled.
"When I told the girl, she started crying and fell into a rage." The demon said, as both Athena and Tanjiro's breathing became quicker, and filled with anger. "But it wasn't long before she lost all control of her movement. I ripped her limb, from limb, and feasted."
"Tanjiro." Athena said, in a deathly calm voice, the eyes of her mask, starting to glow purple as she put her sword away. "I know that it should be your job… your job to avenge them. So I'm gonna tell you one thing. As soon as I'm free from him, I want you to kill this son of a bitch."
"What are you talking about Athena?" Tanjiro questioned as Athena handed her guitar to him again.
"Don't fail." Athena said, before rushing to the demon. "Hey ugly. If you like eating humans so much? They try tasting me." She shouted running around him. 'I hope this works, last thing I need is to make this demon the strongest one alive.'
"Mmm, smart girl for giving up." The demon chuckled. "As a token of kindness and recognizing you're facing the truth, I'll grant you one request."
"Don't chew. I'd rather not have to suffer through that pain." Athena exclaimed.
"Athena no, what are you doing?" Tanjiro questioned.
"It's fine Tanjiro." She said as the demon picked her up, and placed her in his mouth. 'Thankfully, since I already ate the wisteria, he can't sense it on me.' She thought before swallowing her whole.
Outside the demon's body, Tanjiro just stared in horror as the demon's body grew.
"Now if you're smart like your little friend I'll, end your miserable little life, quickly and painlessly." The demon snickered.
"No. I'll never give up." Tanjiro shouted. "I still have my sister to save."
As the fighting commenced, Athena grimaced as she plopped down inside the demon's stomach, filled with remains and stomach juices.
'Ugh, this is the worst.' Athena thought removing her mask. 'But there's not really any choice. A demon's digestive tract isn't actually like a human's. I've learned a lot about demons through my three days of studying up about the Taisho Period for Midnight's class, and if there's one thing I learned, it's that a demon of this size absorbs the bodies if its victims over the course of several years to lengthen the time between feedings. Which means…'
Athena looked around, horrified at the partially digest bodies she saw attached to the stomach walls, fifteen of them having similar masks to Tanjiro's.
'Looks like he miscounted the number of people he ate. An' it also looks like this guys doesn't like to chew his food either.' Athena thought as her eyes landed on the remains of two particular people she recognized from hear the description, it wasn't hard to spot Makomo either as all four of her limbs were gone. 'Salmon colored hair, and a flower kimono. That must be Sabito and Makomo. But it looks like Sabito's head was crushed so this might be a little harder than I thought.'
Athena only had to crawl a bit to get to the two dead students of Urokodaki, and grabbed their slightly damaged Kabuki Masks, securing them under her sash where she kept her mask, before looking at both the decaying bodies in front of her, putting her hands in a prayer motion.
'Please forgive me for what I'm about to do, but your lives had been cut too short, and I can give you both, a second chance at life.' Athena prayed, before she reached up, and using her metal to form claws on each of her hands, she reached into their chests tearing easily through their decaying flesh, and pulled out their lifeless, un-beating hearts, tearing a piece of her sash to create a pouch to carry the body parts in, and putting an enchantment on them. 'This should keep the hearts from decaying any longer, and the wisteria scent on my sash, as well as the enchantment, should keep demons from detecting them. What I'm going to do after the Final Selections ends, is surely going to invoke the wrath of Tia and Luna, but right now, I don't care.'
Athena reached behind her, and pulled out her short blade katana, and opened it, ready to use it for what she had planned.
"You're about to have some major indigestion you monster." Athena smirked.
Back outside of the demon's belly, Tanjiro's head was bleeding, his mask destroyed, as he ran from the demon, before twisting around and slicing off the demon's hand as it reached him.
'There's no way I can just let him go.' Tanjiro thought as he stood his ground in front of the demon. 'I won't let another life be sacrificed, no more, I'll take him down.'
Before Tanjiro could run for the demon, he noticed that the demon's face was distorting in pain, as the surface of his stomach rippled with violent movement, before a bloodied hand thrust out with a short katana, and ice began pouring from the wound, as Athena burst free of her fleshy prison, and rolled forward onto the ground.
"Oh man, it's gonna take weeks to wash out that putrid stench from my hair." Athena groaned. "Yo Tanjiro, you doing okay?"
"Uh… You just burst out of that demon's stomach. I should be asking you that." Tanjiro exclaimed as she stepped up to him.
"Hmm? Nah, it's all good. Believe it or not, it actually isn't my first time breaking free from the stomach of a monster." Athena exclaimed 'Not gonna tell him it was a Griffon Grimm that ate me when I was still on the run from the White Fang and Atlas.'
"You insufferable little brat. I'm gonna tear you limb from limb, and devour you once more, just like that little flower kimono girl." The demon shouted, sending multiple arms at her.
"Total concentration, Etherion Breathing…" Athena said, replenishing her magic by taking in air, making it look like a breathing technique. Without even breaking a sweat, Athena turned around and sliced through all the arms, before rushing at the demon. "First form…" She cried out, slicing through the demon's neck. "Lightning Thread."
Athena slid to a halt on the ground, lightning crackling around her, as the demon's body began to disintegrate, before it died down and she turned back to the body, seeing Tanjiro holding its hand. Athena let out a deep breath, and clasped her hands together.
"Rest in peace, and find redemption, oh lost soul of the demon."
