Ange sat at the nurses' station in AAU, tapping her foot nervously.

"What's up?" Donna asked her pal. "Not like you to be quiet."

"Hmm." Replied Ange, taking a sip of her tea.

"You're drinking tea. That's defintely not like you, you love your coffee." Said Donna. "What's going on?"

"I'll tell you later, alright? If we get a break, that is." Responded Ange.

After that, the morning went relatively quickly. Ange went with more simple procedures, trying to take her mind off what she'd discovered that morning.

Eventually, the two women went for their lunch.

"So, what's really going on with you?" Asked Donna.

"I'm pregnant." Replied Ange. "It's Fletch's, obviously... Just, after everything with both of my pregnancies with Chloe and Dom... I want this baby, I hope that he does too."

"I know." Donna squeezed her friend's hand. "Why don't you try and find him, mate?" Suggested Donna. "I mean, he already has kids, and so do you. He won't mind. He'll be overjoyed."

"I suppose... Thank you for listening, and for helping me." Beamed Ange.

"It's what friends are for." Responded Donna with a smile. "You're welcome."

After she and Donna had finished their lunch, Ange made her way to Keller.

Fletch was there, chatting to Chloe and Nicky.

"Hey you." He smiled when he saw her.

"Hi." Ange beamed, and kissed him. "I need to talk to you, in private."

"Alright." Fletch replied. "Peace garden?"

"Yeah, why not?" Nodded Ange.

Together, they made their way downstairs, and out into the peace garden.

They sat down at Arthur's bench, and Ange wrung her hands, unsure of how to begin. So, she decided to jump in at the deep end.

"I'm pregnant, Fletch. About 6 weeks along." She announced, and looked at him to gauge his reaction.

"Oh!" He gasped, his entire face lighting up. "That's amazing!"

"Really?"

"Yeah, of course! I love you, and I'll love our baby, too. I can't wait to meet him or her."

"Me too, and I love you too." Smiled Ange, kissing him.

Fletch placed a hand on her abdomen as they kissed, and she put a hand on top of his, smiling against his lips. She felt happy, happier than she'd ever been-and so did he.

Well, I never in a million years thought that I'd be writing about the staff of Holby City Hospital again! How times change :)

How about some more chapters?
