The following story you are about to read is the classic Spyro version with twist. Shadow legacy did not happen but more of my own take.
Chapter 1
Up in the Skies of the Dragon realms is a lone Airship flying into an unknown land. On the ship is a pair of flags used to resemble the Dragon kingdom. Inside the ship houses Artisan dragons who are sent by the elder council to travel to a newly discovered world within their own realm. Being a dragon tribe of culture, the Artisans made good diploments yet there are some peace Keeper dragons with them in order to have protection just in case danger lurks.
Inside the ship are a crowd of dragons socializing with each other of their excitements about the new world. All the way to the corner sits a now twenty-one year old Spyro, the heroic purple dragon himself. Nine years since he had many adventures beating bad guys in both his realm and the other two. Due to his heroism, he was claw picked by the Elders to journey with them into the new world of the same realm.
As Spyro looks to his right through a window, gazing at the night sky a yellow dragonfly Sparx calls out to him, "What are ya thinking about Spyro?"
Spyro sits back up, breaking his gaze turning his attention to the dragonfly who had been his close friend throughout all his adventures. With a bit of his adjustments to red scarf he is wearing he could finally reply.
"Oh nothing much really Sparx. Just excited to see that new world the Elders told us about. Maybe another bad guy is around! It acutally been awhile since we had an adventure don't you think?"
Sprax nods in agreement with Spyro as it is true the pair had not had an adventure since defeating Red, a Curropt dragon elder who seeked revenge but failed. Since then, He had kept to himself most of the time or tried to hang out with some friends. One time after hearing Ember broke up with an Armadillo named Bandit for cheating on her with a girl Mole, He managed to hook her up with another friend of his, Flame who proved to be the better choice for her. Even today they are still together to the point news broke they are getting married.
Speaking of marriage, he had been hearing from his friends from other realms that they too are getting married or simply dating. Aside from Hunter and Bianca, he heard news that Elora, his old crush is dating a satyr boy named Timothy.
To his surprise, Timothy proved to be the perfect match Elora due to him actually being in their dates in time compared to how he missed his chance. Perhaps, it is the reason why he had thought love was a plaque to begin with. That would be a story for another day as Spyro readjusts his mind back to the task at hand.
From a distance, a big Green dragon by the name of Nestor comes forth to greet him.
"Thinking about our coming trip young spyro?" he asks
"Oh yes! A new world to explore and maybe torch up a new bad guy when comes" Spyro replies getting off his seat making little fake punches. Nestor laughs at Spyro's child-like behavior as if it never faded away.
"Well Spyro, I am afraid this trip is all about learning the possibility of a new society to come across for diplomacy. Us dragons here needs form ammunition for us not against us which means you need to control your behavior."
Nestor states at Spyro in order to remind him that the trip is a diplomacy mission which is boring to Spyro as he hoped for at least one more adventure. He sits back down, elbows on the table putting his claws under his chin. "Yes Nestor I understand but it would be very boring. I wish I could just have one more adventure in a life time! If so maybe I could give love chance when it comes", Spyro makes a flashy smile and brushes his mohak spine.
Nestor only rolls his eyes with his folded claws on his sides. He was about to tell Spyro more advice until the ship started shaking like an earth quake due to an object hitting it. A dragon staff member bursts into the cabin out of breath and shouts, "WERE BEING ATTACKED! ABADNON SHIP!"
(Unknown jungle)
Beneath the ship is an unknown jungle with big long watchtowers shooting fire balls at the ship. The air ship being hit by so many started to engulf in flames as it falls down. From the ship, dragon passengers are attempting to fly out of the burning/falling ship. Spyro who was about to jump off got blasted off by the ship exploding into pieces.
Spyro, being blasted off, tries to get into gliding position but the blast made him do tons of uncontrolled front flips all the way into an unknown area into the thick rainforest.
(Morning time, Unknown)
As Spyro slowly opens his eyes, he sees that he had landed onto a big tree branch. He tries to get up only for him to trip and fall down into a bush. Getting back up, the wounded Purple dragon looks around to see he is surrounded by misty rainforest with rays of sunlight breaking through.
As Spyro tries to walk, one of his legs is so much in pain that he had no choice but to limp along. Limping through the dirt ground he decides to stop by a river so he could drink. After drinking from the river he shouts, "HELLO! IS ANYONE AROUND HERE!?"
He has no idea where he is only that he knows he is lost.
"SPYRO IS THAT YOU!?" a buzzing familiar voice calls out from behind. Spyro turns his head to see a familiar golden light flying through the trees to face him.
"OMG Sprax, thank goodness you are ok?" Spyro pants happily knowing that his close friend is ok. Sparx on the other hand uses his healing power to heal up Spyro.
After using his power, sparx turned blue while Spyro healed up no longer limping. He checks himself out to see he is good as new but now he is worried about Sparx who just used his power to heal him.
"Thanks Sparx but you did not have to use that power of yours!
"We have been through a lot Spyro, you know I would do anything for you as long as there are butterflies for me to eat!" Sparx explains as he just spotted a butterfly and ate it making him gold again.
Spyro could not help but laugh at his antic. Spyro than looks around the forest to figure out his surroundings.
"Where do you think we are Sparx?" he asks as he starts to walk through hopping to see a road.
"IDK man, but all I know I believe we are in the new world that you dragons have been talking about."
Sparx is right about that. If they don't know where they are might as well be the new world. Spyro now remembers that they were part of an expedition group. He remembers that he was on that air ship until it got hit. He hopes all the dragons in that vessel managed to escape.
"Do you think there are other survivors out there from our expedition Sparx?" He asks with a worried face. Sparx only shrugged dunno and also hoped for the same as they began their journey to find any sign of civilization.
(Near a road, unknown rainforest)
As the pair explore, all they could see are tons of large insects, prehistoric looking lizards, and the trees are so big. Eventually they come across cobblestone road with a sign post. Spyro, with a face of excitement runs up knowing that there is a sign of civilization.
As he reads the signs one pointing north reads 'Midgar' as the south one reads 'Haven. What is more interesting about the sign is a poster with a shadowy figure hovering above a group of creatures that look like dinos or Raptors. The poster turns out to be a propaganda piece as it reads, 'Obey the new king!'
As both the dragon and the dragonfly read, Spyro hears footsteps coming from bushes behind following by a shout, "DON'T MOVE, claws to the air, only turn around quietly."
The voice sounded like one of authority. Spyro did as he is told and raises his claws and turns around to see armored raptors in armor with burgundy surcoats pointing spears at him. The raptors in front as the dragon describes are almost as tall a Hunter. Spyro gulps at the sight of them as the more heavily armored one steps up.
"By orders of the king of Soronia, you are to come with us!" the head raptor demands
"Look guys, im actually an outsider here but I would kinda like it if you all go easy on me" Spyro tries to explain only for him to be bashed from a shield making him fall out cold.
Sparx witnessing what happened freaks out and flies away. A guard tries to stop him only to be stopped by his superior.
"It's a dragonfly, what harm can it do?" the head guard assures as they begin to take the out cold Spyro to a nearby prisoner carriage with Sparx hiding from a tree hoping to find a way to save Spyro from being captured.
