Ivy was...in a mood today, so to speak.

First off, after having been away from her gardens for a long time and kept in that dirty, disgusting Asylum, many of her plants have begun to wither away, without their source of nutrients and daily dose of water, it only made sense for them to slowly die...but it still hurt her to hear their screams, their cries of agony as they died while she couldn't even do a thing.

That wasn't even the end of it.

Her little breakout had also caused many other numerous Supervillains to cause havoc all over Gotham, including Scarecrow, Riddler, and the like, which, good for her at least, had caused The Bat to not focus on her persay, but on all the other ones who were just causing complete havoc on the City.

But...she wasn't even in the proper mood to cause any trouble across the streets, making more dangerous protests of letting Gotham go green again, or worse, get some poor sapless man to get a special plant for her Garden. That mood was ruined (Or perhaps, slightly improved) by what happened next, and it all involved Her-

Harley Quinn.

Not even 5 Minutes that she got back into her little hideaway within Gotham's Botanical Garden's, that she could feel Harley's presence enter The Garden's, and how she felt so..weak, so...even more helpless then before. "R-red…? Ya...ya gotta help me...p-please…" Harley had weakly muttered, before falling to the floor, unconscious. Ivy couldn't help but let out a scoff, rolling her eyes a little, as she slowly went to investigate. "She probably suffered another beating, I'll have to be more harsh to her t-" She froze instantly as she saw the mangled sight of Harley in front of her.

Harley looked, in all honesty, like a mess. Her Two Pigtails were completely undone, revealing her currently frazzled and curled hair, her face was covered in bruises, a cut across her cheek, obviously by a knife, as she seemed to also have a black eye in her left eye. Her outfit meanwhile, had a lot of rips and tears, especially around the chest area, with the legs of the costume being completely ripped off of her, revealing her legs, which were covered in cuts and…

...what she saw next made her blood boil. Around the top of her right leg, were some words carved into it, the wound still bleeding. The words said, "Whoever wants this kiddo, slaughter them for good ol' J! ~Joker."

Oh how much Ivy hated that clown, how every time Joker even did a thing to Harley, how much Joker had even hurt Harley, Harley would always come crying back to Ivy, and every time Ivy would try to convince Harley to leave Joker, she would never listen, and would always go back to him. That, every time, drove Ivy nuts, but something felt...different to her about this time. Joker was never this severe with the beatings he gave to her before.

Just what did Harley do to him that caused him to lash out this much at her…?

She shook her head, focusing on the situation at hand. "Right, get Harley some proper treatment, then figure out what the hell happened." She thought. Carefully and as delicately as she could in order to not wake the poor girl up just yet, she summoned some vines to gently, carry the girl to a nearby room in the gardens, where Ivy used to relax and take care of necessities that she didn't really need, but kept for….other's sakes, like Harley, for example.

Once Harley was laid on the couch, Ivy pulled out a spare medical kit used for situations relating to Harley, and began to patch her up…

Roughly an hour later, and Harley slowly began to wake up, groaning. She looked around in a bit of a daze to figure out where she was, hoping it was anywhere but Joker's hideout, and she let out a sigh of relief as she realized where she was, one of the former break room's of the Botanical Garden's, aka Ivy's home.

Speaking of Ivy, said meta-human came in merely a second later, holding a warm cup of camomile tea, as she raised an eyebrow as she saw the Jester girl had woken up. "..so I see you're awake, Daffodil." As Harley would notice, the feeling of pain was mostly gone, but it still hurt to really move for her, as she gave a small grin to her. "O-oh..hey Ivy! Sorry for uh...coming in a bloody puddle to ya." She let out a dry chuckle at her...obviously bad and tasteless joke.

Ivy merely let out a grunt, as she carefully set the cup of tea down to Harley's level, on the table across from her. "Here, drink." Ivy said, which Harley quickly took, not caring how much it hurt to grab the drink that quickly, as Ivy sighed at that. "...take it slow, please. I may have patched you up for now, but your body might still be in pain." As Harley took a sip of the drink, letting out a pleased sigh once she did. "N-no worries, Red, it's all good!" She exclaimed, while Ivy rolled her eyes, finding this notion a bit...cute, but she wouldn't admit that, not yet. It's too soon to see if Harley even liked her like that.

Not to mention, everyone in Gotham City knew that Harley had a thing for The Joker, always seeing herself as his 'bride to be' in some sort of twisted fantasy. She couldn't help but gag at the thought of how anyone could really love The Joker like that.

Pushing those thoughts to the back of her mind, Ivy sat down next to Harley, looking her in the eyes, as Harley seemed a bit confused at the notion. "...R-red? Is everything okay with ya?" Harley asked. Ivy couldn't help but groan. "Everything is mostly okay with me right now. But what in Gaia's name happened to you? This is like...your worst look ever Harley! Who hurt you, why did they do it and how do I make them pay." She replied, a snarl almost forming on her face, as Harley looked away.

"O-oh u-uh...y-ya know Mista J...and how he c-can...be…" Harley muttered, shaking, as Ivy growled. "Again Harley? How many times have I told you, Joker doesn't-"

"Love me, I know." Harley interrupted, a frown on her face. She let out a sigh. "...so I..dumped well, tried too."

Ivy blinked in surprise and shock. "This was new." She thought. She shook her head. "..what do you mean, 'try too?' " She asked. Harley looked back at her, a tear dripping down her cheek.

"...he...he didn't like that. Kept on going 'You're nothing without me', how I'll be alone without him." She sniffed some, looking like she would cry.

Ivy's eyes twitched, as she tried to withhold her burning anger and rage for The Clown Prince of Crime, as she began to think up numerous fantasies on how to make him pay, on how to tear him apart with her bare hands. Harley noticed this expression change, as she gripped Ivy's hand. "...I'm sorry about him. And…" She bit her tongue. "...I'm sorry for not listening to ya sooner."

Ivy let out a shaky sigh, as she allowed the grip, her eyes closing. "..right. You can stay here as long as you would like. And I promise you, as long as you're near me, no one will hurt you like he did."

Harley sniffed. "..p-promise…?"

Ivy smiled, nodding.

"..promise."
