~Orario: Freya's Estate~
"Oh Man, what happened last night." Yang groaned sitting up as she rubbed her head, her vision blurry for only a moment, as she looked around, before noticing something was different about her. "What the hell am I dressed in?" Yang questioned, looking down at the attire she was wearing.
Her current choice in wardrobe, wasn't one she'd particularly disagree with. It was more her style, but she'd preferred to know when she put it on, and how.
The attire consisted of a hooded black top that was the size and build of a sports bra that covered everything, with the color gold forming her emblem on the center of her chest and lining the trimmings.
Her lower garments consisted of black tight fitting short-shorts, with a belt that didn't even reach all the way around her waist, and gold leggings hugging her thighs, all the way down to her feet, leaving only a small gap of exposed skin between her shorts and the leggings.
On her arms, including her right black gemstone arm, with the gold core, were covered in fingerless arm gloves, looking like a second skin, and reaching all the way up to her under arms, covering the seam of where her flesh and gemstone arm connected. Over the fingerless gloves were a pair of slime golden vambraces that covered her forearms and went over her elbows a bit, looking like they were made out of the finest metal, and polished to perfection.
"Yang, what's going on?"
The blonde brawler looked to her left, seeing her partner/girlfriend, Blake, sleeping in the same bed she found herself sitting up in. Blake's current wardrobe was different as well, which Yang couldn't really say she minded.
Blake was currently dressed in a form fitting black cat suit with a diamond hole in the center over her navel. Over the top part of it, she wore a dark purple jacket, with her personal emblem emblazoned on the let pectoral.
For lower garments, she was wearing a pair of slim fit, purple jean shorts that stopped just above her knees, with a pair of runners on her feet. Her arms were adorned with a pair of samurai arm guards, lined with a deep purple tint along the edges, and a light violet on the metal, looking just as equally valuable as the ones yang wore, with matching shin guards.
Blake's short black hair was decorated with gemstone beads such as sapphires, amethysts, blue spinel, tourmaline, and a pair of midnight blue sapphire earrings on her earlobes, and amethyst pin piercings in her cat ears, and her dragon scales were polished to perfection.
Yang felt over her own hair and ears, realizing they were just as equally decorated. She looked around the room she and Blake were in, and saw a mirror over the dresser and raced over to it, with a bit of a stagger in her step. She saw her shorter hair, was decorated in red gemstone beads such as red diamond, Mozambique garnet, pyrope, rubies, pink sapphire, and a pair of star ruby earrings hanging from her earlobes. Her scales were also shining brightly like they had been polished with the delicacy and care of gemstones.
"Okay what the hell is going on?" Yang questioned looking around the room. "An' where the hell are we?"
"Yang, what are you dressed in?" Blake asked.
Yang turned around and marched back to the bed they were on, and sat down beside Blake, taking in a deep breath, before burying her face in her hands with an exasperated sigh.
"I have no idea." Yang said. "All I remember is the fight against Chisaki to get Eri back, then when Scythe saw my artificial arm, she flipped and everything went white and silver, before I blacked out."
"Wait, where are Eri and Scythe?" Blake questioned, in a bit of panic.
Yang's head instantly shot up and looked Blake in the eye, and after a few seconds of this, she was on her feet instantly running for the door to the room, with Blake scrambling to follow her off the bed. Before she could barge through them, the doors opened outward, and a large, muscular man of roughly seven feet tall, with boar ears, rust colored hair and eyes, wearing a dark blue sleeveless top with a grey collar, grey pants, and his shoes were brown grey.
"Good, you're both awake." He said.
"Where are we? Where's our children, and who are you?" Yang questioned, stopping right in front of him.
"I am Ottar. Second in command of the Freya Familia. Please, follow me and all your questions will be revealed." He said, before turning and walking down the hall.
Yang and Blake looked to each other, before following Ottar closely as he led them down the hall to a bigger room. When they had arrived at the double doors, Ottar pushed them open, and took a knee.
"My Goddess, the two young women have awakened, and they wish to see their children." Ottar said.
"They don't need my permission Ottar." A woman's voice said. "They are the mothers of these two, so they can see them without restraint."
"Yes my Goddess." Ottar said.
"Please, won't you two come in?"
Yang and Blake stepped around Ottar, and entered the rather large spacious room, where a woman with white hair, wearing a black dress, lined in red, with a red head dress, was sitting by a large bed, with two familiar faces sleeping fitfully on it, with the covers over them.
"Scythe, Eri." Yang cried as they both raced to the bedside.
Blake put her hands on both their heads, a saddened look crossing her face, when she felt them.
"They both have a fever. Scythe's is worse than Eri's." Blake exclaimed.
"How could this have happened?" Yang asked.
Blake got up from the bedside and turned to the woman who had been sitting beside it, before bowing.
"I apologize for our sudden rudeness of running past you." Blake said. "We had no intention of disrespecting you after you've given us such hospitality."
"It's quite all right. You were worried about your children." The woman said. "I am Freya, Goddess of the Freya Familia, and Goddess of fertility, beauty, and motherly love. I must say it is an honor to have you all in my home."
"Uh, why would it be an honor to have us?" Blake asked, looking a bit confused.
"Well, it's not every day that Orario is visited by a new Demi-Goddess. It's quite the honor indeed." Freya smiled.
"Demi-what?" Yang asked, turning around in shock.
"I'm sorry, but could you please explain a few things? What's Orario, and who's the Demi-Goddess?" Blake questioned.
"Oh my, it seems neither of you know where you are, or what one of your little girls are. Allow me to explain." Frey exclaimed. "Long ago, we the gods, descended into the world of our children, the humans, in hopes of, finding joy, fun, inspiration, and excitement in our miserably boring everyday godly lives. So, we decided that we would reside here, in the world of our children for the rest of eternity and beyond, sealing away our divine powers. Making us as human as our children, well, almost. We still retain our immortality when it comes to our age. We the gods chose this path, to try and live a modest life, surrounded by all the discomforts of human inconvenience."
"So, you can perform feats of miracles?" Blake asked.
"Unfortunately, it is forbidden for us to unlock our divine powers, unless certain exceptions are made, or it is an unavoidable event." Freya exclaimed.
"We've heard crazier." Yang said. "But who's the Demi-Goddess, you said it was one of our children?"
"Indeed. The Demi-Goddess I spoke of, is the one with the cute little cat ears on her head." Freya exclaimed. "Though I am concerned with all the scars I've seen on her."
"She's bene through a lot, and has been targeted by a lot of power hungry or psychotic people. But she's not a Demi-Goddess, she's just the champion of both the Sister Goddesses of Remnant of creation and destruction." Yang explained.
"I didn't see a Familia emblem on her back. All I saw was the Fairy Tail emblem branded between her shoulder blades." Freya exclaimed.
"You know of Fairy Tail?" Blake asked.
"Of course. Heaven is a big place, and even more so, that it's connected to all sorts of dimensions and is irrelevant to time and space, meaning everything that happens on the mortal realm, is yet to be, has been, and will be, all at once." Freya explained.
"So, what you're saying is, the Gods could see all past, present, and future events, at once, from multiple different dimensions?" Blake inquired.
"More or less." Freya smiled softly.
The doors to the room opened once more and Ottar came in once again, with two vials of blue potions in his hand.
"Ah, Ottar thank you." Freya smiled. "You brought the healing potions like I had asked."
"I didn't even notice him leave." Yang stated.
Freya took the two healing potions, and opened them both, before gently tipping them over, and pouring the contents on Scythe and Eri's faces. The blue liquid was absorbed into their skin instantly with a small hiss of steam and their sleeping became more relaxed and calm.
"Their fevers are gone, and they should be fully recovered now." Freya smiled. "Now as I was saying. Did your daughter happen to receive the power of a champion in person?"
"Uh no, she received it through her dreams. Her magic had been replaced. It had gone from Dragonslayer, to Godslayer." Yang explained.
"Then I am correct in saying your daughter is a Demi-Goddess. If the method of her magic begin forcefully evolved like it had been, was due to her meeting those two in her dreams, then she's no longer a simple mortal." Freya explained.
"Huh?" Blake asked tilting her head.
"Allow me to elaborate. Aside from our immortality, the only thing we are able to offer in our earthly state, is something we call, the blessing. We offer the children of this world the power to fight, and defeat monsters they encounter when going down into the dungeons levels. The children who receive this gift, become the Familia of the god or goddess who bestowed it upon them."
"Then, wouldn't that make them Demi-Gods to?" Yang asked.
"No. The only thing this blessing does, is give them power, but not an insurmountable amount. As they go through adventures and build up their stats, their ranks will increase as well. They all start out at level one." Freya explained. "It's because we gave it to them in our mortal forms, that they themselves aren't Demi-Gods. Your daughter received her power from the two sisters, in their Holy Forms from Heaven, which altered your daughter's physicality, turning her into a Demi-Goddess."
Yang and Blake just starred white eyed at Freya's explanation.
"Are you two all right?" Freya asked.
"Yeah, we're fine. We just need a moment to process the fact our daughter is a Demi-Goddess." Yang said, sitting beside Blake.
"I'm assuming she's related to you?" Freya asked, looking at Blake.
"Actually, she's related to both of us. It's a long story, but short version is her DNA was altered to make her both our biological daughter. Same with Eri." Blake explained.
"I don't know how that is possible, but I'm not gonna pry. Anyways with your daughter, Scythe I believe you said her name was, being a Demi-Goddess, the laws of sealing away our Godly powers don't apply to her, since she's not a full Goddess, at least not yet." Freya exclaimed.
"Not yet?" Yang questioned. "What does that mean?"
"It means that in time, as your daughter grows, she'll become more and more like a Goddess, until she is one. Her power will continue to grow, and when it reaches its maximum limits, she'll shed her mortal skin, and will be given the title of what kind of Goddess, she chooses to be." Freya exclaimed.
"So, she'll grow to outlive everyone, besides the other Gods and Goddesses?" Yang questioned.
"Putting it that way, it does sound sad, but it is the truth." Freya sighed.
"Mom?"
Yang and Blake turned to see Scythe, with her eyes open, and looking at them, confused.
"Oh baby." Yang said, bringing her in for a hug. "Oh I was so scarred. Are you feeling all right?"
"I'm feeling kinda hungry." Scythe exclaimed pushing out from her embrace and holding Yang's right arm. "What happened to your arm mom?"
"It happened while Overhaul had you." Yang said softly. "I confronted him when I had gotten evidence of his involvement with kidnapping you and your sister. When I demanded that he return you both to me, he refused and tried to kill me, but only took my arm when Grandma Kali stepped in to save me."
"Are you feeling all right?" Blake asked. "What did he do to you?"
"He tore my body apart, and pieced it back together again, over and over, like it was fun for him. Each time, permanently removing a piece of my flesh, and using it to turn into a serum. He was doing the same with Eri." Scythe said, remembering her pain as she began to cry, and trying to force the memories out of her head.
"Hey, it's okay now. You're safe, you both are." Yang said, bringing her in for another hug.
"We'll talk more after you've all had a chance to reconnect with one another. I'll have some food prepared for you all right away." Freya smiled softly, getting up and heading for the door. "You're more than welcome to stay for as long as you'd like."
Freya stopped beside Ottar, and whispered something that only he could hear. After Freya finished saying what she was telling Ottar, his expression deepened, and he nodded, giving off the smallest of smiles as he went to do as directed.
~Under the Freya Familia Estate~
"Go down to the cells below the estate, and show no mercy to, Overhaul when you execute him. He's more of a scumbag than I realized, and needs to be purged from this world." Freya's words echoed in Ottar's mind.
"I will not fail you, my Goddess." Ottar said, a longsword now on his back, with a deeper scowl on his face. "For him to even consider harming a Goddess, let alone making her cry, is simply unforgivable. The little Goddess Princess, is pure, and must not be tainted by such evils as the man who calls himself Overhaul. Yet his power still bewilders me. He killed three of our Familia, just by grabbing their faces. That's all it took for him to destroy half their bodies to nothing."
Ottar stopped in front of a cell, where a man wearing a green coat, with a plague mask, was chained to the wall by a collar around his neck, and bandages wrapped around the stumps that used to be where his hands were.
"Well, is it visiting hours already?" Overhaul asked looking up at him.
"You shut your mouth." Ottar said, opening the gate and drawing the longsword from his back. "You've been judged, and your punishment, is death."
"What are my charges exactly?" Overhaul asked. "I was just trying to make the Yakuza great again."
"Murder, and harming a Goddess." Ottar said, raising his sword before swinging it with all his might, the wall to his right, becoming covered in blood and entrails.
~That evening at the Freya Feast Hall~
"Oh man, this spread looks amazing." Yang said as she and he family were sitting at the table in Freya's dining hall.
"I apologize for having to leave like I did. I had some business to take care of in town, well more accurately at the tower of Babble, that's where I conduct my work." Freya exclaimed. "Please help yourselves to your hearts content."
"Thank you." Blake said.
"Mom, Mama, do I have to wear these?" Scythe asked.
Scythe was sitting beside Eri, wearing a miniature version of Yang's outfit, with red instead of gold, and minus the leggings, combined with Blake's cat suit. Her hair was braided back, with beads of black diamond, garnet, ruby, and topaz in her hair, she refused to wear the earrings, but she still wore the hairclip Grandpa Toshi gave her. Another difference was she wore combat heels instead of sneakers.
"Yes sweetheart, you have to wear it. We don't have any other clothes for you, and Lady Freya was nice enough to have her hand maids make you those." Blake said.
"Though, I do think the gemstones in your hair are a bit much to be honest." Yang said. "They kinda clash with the hairpin. You look adorable to Eri."
Eri sat at the table, wearing a neon blue dress with a pink ribbon tied around her horn, and her hair combed and braided into three pieces. She wore white leggings with light blue dress shoes, making her look like a pretty little princess.
"So since you've all had a chance to reconnect, I think it's time we talked about something." Freya smiled. "You all are needing to join a Familia."
"Hmm, I hadn't even thought about that." Yang said munching on some croquettes.
"We are needing to make a living somehow. An' if we're in another world, again, we do need money." Blake added.
"You'd be more than welcome to join my Familia, but as much as I'd want that. I'm afraid it won't be possible." Freya said.
"Why not?" Yang inquired.
"Simply put, I don't want you to join, because you feel obligated for all I've done for you. I want you to go out tomorrow, and see what different Familia's there are, take a look around, and pick one you'd think you'd best be suited for you. Then if none of them suit your fancy, I will allow you to join my Familia."
"I guess that makes sense." Blake said. "Alright, tomorrow we'll head out and explore the city."
"Excellent. But before you do that, I'd like you all to register at the Guild before you do anything else." Freya smiled. 'Hopefully, with a bit of luck, they'll join, her, Familia.'
~The Next Morning~
"Finally, we're at the guild." Yang huffed. "Took us forever to find it."
"Well, it didn't help that Scythe and Eri kept getting distracted by all the new sights and smells." Blake chuckled, holding the both the girl's hands. "Let's go in, and register with the guild. I'll stay with Scythe and Eri."
Looking around, they found it looked like pretty much any normal office reception area. Which also meant a place for Blake, Eri, and Scythe to sit, while Yang went to register.
"Hi there, welcome to the guild. My name is Eina Tulle. Are you here to register?" A woman with brown hair, green eyes, glasses, and pointed elf ears, questioned as the duo came up to the counter.
"Yes we are. My name is Yang, over there is my partner, Blake with our children. We are hoping to register, even though we don't have a Familia yet." Yang explained, keeping their origins a secret, per Freya's suggestion.
"Certainly, though if you're not in a Familia at the moment, the most I can do for giving you Dungeon jobs, is up to level-3. Any lower in the dungeons, and you run the risk of losing your lives." Eina exclaimed.
"It's fine, we can handle it." Yang smiled. "Blake and I are pretty powerful."
"I see, but still, I strongly recommend you join a Familia, so you may receive a blessing and get lower in the dungeons." Eina stated. "I'm sorry, it's just protocol for that. I can't stop you from going lower on your own, I can only give you a warning to the dangers."
"Why don't you come join our Familia cutie?"
Yang and Eina, turned to see a gray haired young man, with amber eyes, as well as a sleek canine tail, and ears on his head, standing there, trying to act cool and flirtatious in front of them, like a playboy. He has a blue tattoo on the left side of his face and a muscular physique.
"My name is Bete Loga, of the Loki Familia. We're one of the more popular Familia's around, and if you join us, I can show you a good time." He smiled.
"No thanks, not interested in joining a Familia that sounds like it belongs in a porno book subscription." Yang stated waving him off.
"What was that, you blonde bimbo harlot?" Bete questioned in anger.
"Get away from me now you creep." Yang stated, clenching her fists. "Don't make me repeat myself."
"Oh little dragon has some spice. I like." Bete smirked before his face suddenly went white and his jaw dropped, gaining an expression of extreme pain.
Eina and Yang were confused by this until they looked behind him, and saw Scythe biting down on his tail; both Yang and Eina were trying to keep themselves from bursting out laughing.
"WHAT THE HELL GET OFF ME YOU LITTLE BRAT. THAT REALLY HURTS." Bete shouted spinning around to try and throw her off.
Scythe let go of Bete's tail, before flying across the reception area of the guild, where several of the members who saw what was happening, froze, and gained horrified looks on their face, as Scythe was on a collision course, straight for a pair of mounted antlers from a Wendigo Boss Monster on level thirty five of the dungeons.
"Scythe, maneuver fifteen." Blake shouted, alerting Bete to her presence behind him.
Scythe bent her head back, before smiling. Curling up into a ball, Scythe began to spin, using the momentum of the throw to push herself, which resulted in her changing trajectory. The moment Scythe was about to hit the wall, her feet planted themselves firmly on the wood of the wall mount, between the antlers, before pushing herself off, and rolling forward, landing in Yang's arms, as she ran up to catch her.
"Tada." She smiled raising her arms in the air, as Yang held her up. "How'd I do mom?"
"Perfect ten." Blake smiled scratching his head.
"Thanks mama." Scythe smiled, grabbing her arm.
"Now, as for you." Blake said, a dark aura seeping from her as she put a hand on Bete's shoulder, causing him to stiffen in fear, as he could feel the murderous intent seeping into his soul, as she glared at him. "Where is your Familia? I would like to have a word with your god/goddess, about your behavior. You nearly killed my daughter, and I'm not going to let that slide."
"Y-yes ma'am." Bete exclaimed in defeat, as he lead her out the guild's entrance, where his party was waiting.
"I'll be back in a bit. Finish up registration while I'm out." Blake called to them.
"Geeze, mom sure can be scary sometimes." Scythe chuckled nervously.
"I bet." Yang agreed, before they returned to the front with everybody staring in awe at them, after what they had just seen. "Sorry about that, Scythe can be a bit overprotective of her mommy."
"I'm too old to call you that." Scythe complained as Yang put her down and Eri was at her side.
"Anyways, we would like to finish our registration if you don't mind." Yang exclaimed.
"Of course. Here are four identification cards." Eina stated.
"We only need two."
"I apologize, but it's imperative that a family registers together, just in case someone needs to help out financially. The guild looks out for every possible situation that might happen." Eina stated. "Plus the registration fee is discounted if a family registers together."
"Well, good to know." Yang smiled.
"That'll be forty-five hundred Valis please. If you can't afford to pay it off now, just be sure to make regular payments of fifty Valis each month. But it shouldn't be too much, since it is pretty cheap." Eina smiled.
"That leaves us with… fifteen hundred Valis after paying for the registrations…" Yang said, looking into the bag of Valis, Freya gave them.
"This is on me."
The trio turned to see a very beautiful woman with long golden hair, gold eyes, and a slender body standing there, handing over a small bag filled with Valis. She wore a white and black battle-cloth, black arm covers, and long blue boots. Her armor over her clothes is, consisting of a head guard, breastplate, arm guards, hip guards, and knee guards.
"My name is Ais Wallenstein, I'm a member of the Loki Familia. Please, consider this as an apology for my party member's behavior, and for what he did." She said turning and bowing to them. "I'm truly sorry, I cannot express my regrets for his actions enough. I do hope your daughter is all right."
"Oh, don't worry about it, she's fine. Her training actually came in handy, and she got down without even a scratch on her." Yang exclaimed.
"Uh Mom." Eri said, pulling on her shorts.
Yang turned to Eri and Scythe, before noticing Scythe was licking her upper arm like an injured cat would, and realized that one of the antlers had nicked her upper arm, not enough to be noticeable at first, but definitely enough to bleed significantly.
"Oh my how did we miss that?" Yang asked in concern. "Even the cloth is torn."
"Here's a first aid kit. Please, treat her wound with care." Eina said, pulling a white box from under the counter.
"Thank you, we appreciate it." Yang stated.
"Here, let me. I'm quite skilled in first aid." Ais exclaimed.
"We appreciate the offer, but we'd prefer to do it ourselves. No offense to you, but given what your friend demonstrated I'm not very trusting of the Loki Familia." Yang exclaimed, in a bit of a cold tone.
"I understand. Have yourselves a good day." Ais stated before she left.
Sitting down at one of the sitting areas, Yang sat Scythe down and began treating the wound, while Eri sat on her knees and looked out the window to see a red headed woman, with a flat chest, scolding and screaming at Bete, who was bowing apologetically as he endured the ranting, while Blake was still glaring at him. Ais rejoined the party, apparently telling the redhead and Blake about Scythe's injury, as Blake's glare deepened, and the redhead's ranting increased tenfold, causing Bete to shiver in fear.
"Oh jeez, hold still sweetie, you're only going to make this worse." Yang exclaimed, bringing her attention to right across from her.
"But disinfectants sting mom." Scythe exclaimed.
"I know they do sweetie, but you gotta have it otherwise you could end up with another blood infection, and we don't know if your body will be able to heal from it or not." Yang stated.
Eri hopped down from where she sat and hugged Scythe, distracting her long enough for Yang to put the disinfectant on her arm. Scythe whimpered a bit when he felt the disinfectant placed on the cut, but it was all over in a second.
"See, that wasn't too bad, was it?" Yang asked.
"Still stung." Scythe grumbled.
"I'm sorry for interrupting, but there are still a few things we need to discuss." Eina said, walking up to them.
"Of course." Yang stated, as she bandaged the cut.
"But before that, you have someone who wishes to speak with you." Eina said, stepping to the side, to reveal the redhead who was scolding and ranting at Bete, that Blake was standing with outside, moments ago. Behind her were Blake, Ais, and Bete, who was shivering in fear of the dark aura Blake was giving off.
"Hello. I'm Goddess Loki, I'm the head of the Loki Familia. I would like to humbly apologize for what Bete had nearly caused. I truly hope that one day you can forgive the Loki Familia. I swear to you, not everyone is as pigheaded as him." The redhead woman stated.
"We'll forgive you as soon as we think up a punishment suitable for him sexually harassing me, as well as nearly getting my daughter killed. While she did not die, she did get injured, and she's still recovering from a kidnapping incident that forced her to be turned into a lab rat for quite a few weeks." Yang exclaimed. A tick mark formed on Loki's forehead as she turned to glare at Bete.
"What? You never said anything about sexually harassing her." Loki growled at Bete.
"I… uh well you see…"
"Shut up." Loki glared, causing Bete to shrink in fear. "Do you find it amusing to treat women like your own personal toys? My punishment for you is three weeks in the prison cells under the manor; that is where you'll be spending your nights, without any sort of blankets, pillows, or comforters."
"Y-yes ma'am." Bete stated.
"Fill the cell with snakes to. That'll be our part for the punishment." Blake stated joining Yang.
"Oh, good idea, he is extremely afraid of the cute little things." Loki smiled.
"She's back to her normal sadistic self. Surprised she kept it together this long." Ais exclaimed. "She even scolded Bete for being a pervert, despite the fact she's a bigger perv than him."
"Aw, don't be so mean Ais Dear." Loki smirked, before she looked around, as if sensing something before her eyes fell on Scythe. "Hey wait a minute. There's talk of a new Demi-Goddess in town. She wouldn't happen to be that Demi-Goddess would she?"
"I guess news spreads around here like wildfire." Yang sighed. "Yes, Scythe is the new Demi-Goddess you've heard about."
Now Bette looked extremely pale, as he realized, that he was moments away from facing the ultimate punishment, if Scythe had been impaled by the antlers.
"Oooh, then would you perhaps consider joining our Familia?" Loki asked.
"Beat it." Blake said. "After what wolf boy there pulled, we're not even gonna think about joining the Loki Familia."
"Understood." Loki said, sounding dejected as she walked off.
When the party left, Blake took her seat, beside Yang, Scythe, and Eri, as Yang finished cleaning up what she used from the first aid kit. While they were all talking about grown up stuff, Scythe got bored and Eri fell asleep. She hopped down from the couch, and began to just walk around, wanting to find something that could entertain her. It didn't take her long, as she found something on the ground that shined in the sunlight.
"Huh? What's this?" She questioned going to grab it, only for it to be pulled away from her. "What the. Hey, get back here." She called chasing after it.
The moment Scythe was about to grab it, the object was pulled from her grasp again. This time it got annoying, and she began chasing it, running after the object, before she followed it into an alley, and finally nabbed it.
"Got ya." She smirked.
"No." A big burly man's voice echoed in the alley, showing himself, his racoon ears twitching, revealing he was the one pulling the string, leading her away. "We've got you."
Scythe jumped back, with the object in hand, but wasn't able to back up very far, as she was boxed in by two more men, both of them looking as shady as the first.
"This is the kid boss?" One of them asked. "She's sort of dressed like that brat Lili."
"Yeah, this is her. The brat only looks like she's seven or eight, yet she managed to change her course of impact and ricochet off the wall of the guild." The big burly man stated, revealing he was one of the people who saw the incident. "With her skills, we'll be able to earn more than enough Valis in no time."
"Heh-heh… Sounds good to me boss. I can already taste that delicious wine."
Scythe looked around to try and find an opening to escape through, but the only way she found he could get out from, was if she went up. Figuring there was no other choice, Scythe took in a deep breath of air, and used the breath attack to launch herself up through the air, and over the two men that boxed her in from behind, dropping the item she grabbed, before landing on her feet and making a run for it.
"What are you just standing around for? Get her."
The three men began to chase after Scythe, nearly grabbing her several times. On the last attempt, it was a close call as the fattest of them, grabbed the back of her hood, but let go as he tripped over a merchant who was walking by.
When she was free of the man's grasp, Scythe continued to run, and began to run on all fours, just like a jungle cat.
"Get back here you damned brat."
Scythe looked behind her, before turning back to look where she was running, and unexpectedly, went running through the legs of Ais Wallenstein, catching her off guard, for a mere second, as she continued to run, even though she was able to completely catch sight of her scarred face.
"Huh, was that the kid Bete nearly killed?" A tan skinned woman, with long dark hair, and green eyes asked, her E-Cup chest bouncing as she stepped to the side in shock from the boy zipping past them.
"Tch, she's gotta be a pervy goddess if she ran through Ais's legs to get a peek at her panties." Bete sighed.
"You can't get away from us brat. You'll work for us whether you like it or not." One of the men chasing Scythe shouted, catching Ais's attention as they ran by the party of the Loki Familia.
"Or maybe she wasn't actually looking where she was going." Ais stated, gaining a confused look from Bete.
"What do you mean?" Bete asked.
"One of those men must have seen the skills the she has." Loki said, picking up what Ais was putting down. "So they must be forcefully trying to recruit her. I'm not surprised, they are members of the Soma Familia after all."
"Lady Loki." Ais said.
"I'm on it, anything for you, Ais dear. Plus, anything to get on her mother's good sides." Loki sighed, taking a crouching stance, before she sprinted after them, at speeds her Familia hadn't even seen yet.
In mere seconds, the sight of the three men chasing Scythe, changed from the running child, to the cobblestone ground, tied up.
"Now I myself can understand wanting a drink of the Soma Familia Brand Wine. But even I know not to enact slavery on a child, especially a Demi-Goddess." Loki stated, firmly, making sure their bindings were nice and tight. "I'll be having a word with Soma about this later. Right now… Kid you can…" Loki froze, as her words got caught in her throat, from seeing Scythe vanish from her sight, into a particularly dangerous entrance. "AIS. Get in there and grab her now."
"Where did she go?" Ais questioned.
"The kid was so scared she didn't even realize, she went running into the Dungeons, I doubt she even knows what she's doing now." Loki exclaimed, causing the entire party to pale in horror.
Meanwhile, Scythe was indeed too scared to look behind her, running through the dungeons, and the levels, somehow evading the monsters that came out to attack her, reaching the fifth floor, before she stopped, or rather she was forced to stop, as she hit her head against something hard as stone, when she decided to look behind himself to see if she had lost her pursuers.
"Ow." She groaned, clutching her head as she sat on the ground, before looking up and what she had slammed head first into. "AAAAAHHHHHHH." Scythe screamed, upon seeing a large, ten foot tall Minotaur, with black shiny horns, and a stone club in its hands, looking down at her, with an intent to kill.
Scythe immediately got up onto her feet, and jumped onto the wall, clinging to it with her fingers digging into the rocky surface, before jumping off, evading a swing from the Minotaur's weapon.
Barely managing to escape that attack, as she rolled forward, and began to run on all fours again, with the Minotaur hot on her tail.
"Oh man, oh man, oh man, oh man. I'm in trouble. Mom, Mama, Grandma, please, someone…" Scythe pleaded as she continued to run. "Why did mom have to keep Sting and Rogue on her? I could really use them right about now."
Scythe continued to run through the dungeon level, evading attacks from the Minotaur every now and then, with the occasional piece of debri hitting her. Though Scythe knew she couldn't go on like this forever, and she could feel herself starting to run low on energy, she had to change her strategy and fast.
That's when she heard a scream of fear coming from farther down the tunnel. She couldn't pinpoint it exactly, but she did get an idea on how to beat the Minotaur chasing her, she just hoped that whoever screamed, was being chased by one as well. Scythe could smell the scent of someone else down there, and followed it, finding that there was indeed someone else who had been chased by another Minotaur, who was now cornered, which worked out in her favor.
"Hey you big dummy." Scythe shouted throwing a rock at the back of the Minotaur's head, causing the big brute to look in her direction. "Heads up." Scythe smirked, jumping up and gripping the bull's head, and biting hard on its ear, before jumping back as it swung its fist at her, and doing the same to the Minotaur that had been chasing her, which resulted in the second Minotaur punching itself in the face, angering it even more. "You couldn't hit the broad side of a barn if it were two feet in front of you." She mocked, before jumping down as the second Minotaur swung its fist, in rage as hard as it could, decapitating and killing the one that had been chasing her, leaving behind quite the sizable Magic Stone. "Well, that worked out perfectly. Now there's just the other one." Scythe stated, landing on the ground, beside the young man the second Minotaur cornered.
The young man was average height, with white hair, brown leather clothes, and a flimsy chest plate and knife. This is Bell Cranel, a level-1 adventurer.
"What are you doing here kid?" He asked.
"I'll explain later, but to be honest I don't even know, right now we just need to run and survive." Scythe stated, grabbing hold of Bell's wrist, and continued to run, dragging the young man down the corridors. "Question, do you have anything that can start a fire?"
"Well, I have some flint, but there's not much here to start a fire with. Why?" Bell asked.
"It doesn't matter why if we can't start one." Scythe sighed. "Wait, fur is flammable, and I do love me a barbeque."
"Wait, you wanna try to set the Minotaur's hide on fire?" Bell questioned.
"If not, we'll have to settle for a small torch or something. There are plenty of animal bones down here to do so with." Scythe stated.
"We can't really light a torch when we're running. What's your name anyway?" Bell questioned.
"My name is Scythe. Scythe Belladonna Xiao Long." She explained, remembering how Yang told her to always introduce herself like that since Yang and Blake were together.
"My name's Bell Cranel. I'd say it's nice to meet you…" Bell stated before they hit a dead end. "…but it looks like we're gonna die."
"I'm all out of energy from running." Scythe exclaimed, feeling exhausted, as she sat on the floor, breathing heavily in quick recessions.
Bell wasn't a very brave person, but he was a kind hearted one, as he stood between the Minotaur and Scythe, with his knife at the ready, fully prepared to fight if he had to. He was ready to take the hit, when the Minotaur just punched the wall above them, twice, before its right ankle was sliced open, resulting in blood spilling out.
After falling to one knee, the Minotaur turned around, to see it was face to face, with Ais. Lunging for her, the Minotaur was too slow to react as she dodged, pierced its skin with her sword, and sliced all the way up its arm, cutting it at the biceps and triceps of its left arm. The Minotaur reeled back in pain, before throwing a right hook, to which Ais evaded as well, while simultaneously severing a tendon in its underarm, forcing it to press back against Bell, as he was pressed against the wall, trying to keep the Minotaur from crushing both him and Scythe. Though, when the young girl saw Ais, she immediately squirmed her way out of the squeeze, and jumped at the Minotaur, biting down on one of its horns.
"What are you doing?" Ais shouted as the Minotaur began to shake its head violently, before Scythe's lack of energy caused her grip with her jaw to let go, giving the Minotaur opportunity to backhand her, and send the girl upside down, into a wall.
Seeing this happen, Ais was done playing around, and sliced the Minotaur right down the middle, sending blood spewing everywhere, while covering Bell from head to toe, as he stared in awe of Ais, his cheeks blushing red under all the blood covering him. When Ais saw Bell, she turned her attention to him momentarily, asking only one thing.
"You there." She said, addressing Bell. "Are you all right?" She questioned.
Bell's only response was a scream, before he went running out of the dungeon, not even caring if he was covered in blood. Ais didn't think much of it, and ran to where Scythe was imbedded in the rocky wall, before she fell out, landing in Ais's arms.
"Little girl, are you okay? Please say something." Ais questioned, before noticing something falling out from under her hood. They were crimson red scales, coming out from the front and back of her torso, from under her cat suit from when she was upside down. "Dragon scales?" Ais questioned, seeing them up close. "Dragon scales are known to be one of the toughest materials to break or mold, even a swing from a Minotaur would have hardly any effect on them. But this girl is still young, and it looks like she produced the scales himself, so it's safe to assume the scales that protected her, weren't strong enough to handle more than one strike from the Minotaur."
Ais looked down at the girl, and smiled as she saw she was breathing softly, with a light adorable sounding snore escaping her lips.
"She's so precious." Ais smiled, putting Scythe on her back, while picking up the Magic Stone that came out of the Minotaur she had taken out, it was pretty sizable, but was smaller than the one she found on the ground earlier. "Let's get you home little one."
