Aedan Janson 23, Capitol, Head Game Maker
I stare at my plan going over them, I have been head game maker for 4 years and this year is my toughest year yet the 200th games, the quarter quell
President Longrow as had a tendency to cut head game makers who fail his purpose each year he has a different image the past four years he wanted a career male to win
That has happened
This year well I am unsure, all I know is that he is concerned about our population 89% male, 11% in all districts yet he killed the last game maker when the girl from 7 stumbled across victory
He wants the victor to deserve it, I guess I can respect that, districts are now protecting their females which means not many work, which means most outer girls come into the games wide eyed and afraid, the career girls well they just normally cling onto their district partner or go alone and get cut off
I want something different this year, I'm worried I have made the games too predictable I guess Tylah winning last year wasn't predictable the 16 year old district two boy that used brain over brawn and was able to defeat the monstrous boy from one
President longrow loved and he expects more this year, after the games last year I spent months coming up with plans for the 200th anniversary we did have a 100 year gap after the second rebellion but eventually the Capitol took over punished the districts, the poorer became poor, the loyal became more wealthy and protected things for fine for a few years until the career rebellion occurred
It wasn't against us it was against the career system thousands of teenagers died, mainly they were the girls they wanted to stop the system which is why districts 1,2 and 4 have no girls in the top class
I want a show this year, a group that shines out the rest, you can't have 24 entertaining tributes because it will become a mess you need between 8-10 that steal the spot light, that have a story
You need tributes with different stories, with different backgrounds, not the average lumberjack or average farmer, I spent months researching each district, look at each teenager between 12-18, and well there as a few hidden gems but I know as much as I am tempted to can't throw in 10 insane tributes one or two is normally enough
Some are hero's, other are villains, others well they are unknown, I don't want the victor to be too obvious and there are about ten that have a shot, then I needed to think of a twist because that's what a quarter well is about

Have tributes brought back from the dead
Children of rebels
Then the area as spilt into four all have been done
And the president wants more then one twist this year, wants something unique, something out of the ordinary
My door opens and the president surrounded by peacekeepers come in, lucky for him I was ready because Sir doesn't really know what patience is
"I hope you are ready to please me Aedan because I do have well back up plans if you don't" he says signalling to the peacekeeper holding the gun
"I have four plans, I want you to choose the one you want" I say
He just claps with excitement as I hand my plan
'Twist Number one Tributes must be between 15-18'
'Twist Number two the twenty, four rule, Twenty males and Four females, the females must be reaped and only one is to be from a career district'
'Twist Number there will be 12 tributes hand chosen from the Capitol how ever this will not be made public'
'Twist number six no volunteers from any other district'
"I like it, because normally little kids die early and well having 12 females are so boring since none are well interesting are you hand choosing the girls" he asks
"Only one, I have in mind half the tributes being seen as relevant having stories and won't just float to the end" I say handing him the files of the 8 I have hand chosen
"A few fighters with the outer districts, and I don't even know how you found out ten had a serial cannibal we certainly need him in" he says
"I decided to only put two clinically insane tribute you have too many and it will become a mess, the other three career boys are your sadistic killer types, district two well they are to be seen as the heroes this year because the last few years none have really open the heart of the Capitol" I say
"The girl she would of trained her last name is familiar" he says
I nod "She did dropped out four years ago, will cause a revenge plot between her and the other boy from one who I believe wants too honour his brothers life" I say
He smirks "I like a few of the outer boys too, I'm impressed kid, is the victor going to be rigged" he says
"If one of the floaters makes the final two well yes If not then no, I know you want people that earn it to win, I don't want some kid to stumble and that it" I say
"Just make sure the two crazies don't win" he says
I just nod showing him the detail sketch of the arena "Well the hunger games are a war, well done my friend" he says
That's the easy part the actual games aren't
