"Rhoda, are you packed? We need to catch our cab so we don't miss our flight."

"Yeah I'm coming kid, I'll be down in a sec," said Rhoda.

Mary set down the phone. She and Rhoda had been planning this Mexico trip for a solid two weeks ever since Mary found out needed to use her vacation days and Rhoda managed to get a week off too.

"Hey Mare, do you think this will fit in the bins on the plane?"

Mary looked over to see Rhoda being weighed down by her giant suitcase in her doorframe. Mary rolled her eyes.

"Rhoda, I think you'll be fine. Now let's go, our plane leaves at 4:00, remember?"

"Wait Mary, why is your bag so small compared to mine? Ohhh it's probably because you have bikinis in there, huh?"

"Rhoda!"

Rhoda raised her eyebrows.

"Okay maybe," said Mary.

"Figures," said Rhoda.

"Man I haven't flown in years," exclaimed Mary as she stepped foot into the Minneapolis Airport.

"Yeah you're lucky, my mom makes me go to New York to visit her," said Rhoda.

"Rhoda!"

"Hello, how are you two ladies doing today? Can I see your passports?" Said the employee at security.

"Good thank you! I'm Mary and this is my friend Rhoda."

The two pulled out their boarding passes and passports.

"Hey I don't see a ring," Rhoda told the worker.

"Well, that's because I just got separated."

"Well, you're welcome to join us in Mexico if you need a getaway to decompose like we do."

The worker laughed "I think I'll pass, but thank you ladies for the offer."

"Um, her offer, not mine," said Mary.

"Rhoda, you need to stop being so direct with people or you're gonna get yourself into trouble one of these days," said Mary as she and Rhoda finished their last bout through security.

"Well I'm sorry, he was a good looking guy, and I was half joking anyways."

"Okay we need to go to the international wing, our gate is B15," said Mary.

Mary and Rhoda lugged their luggage across the airport until they found their gate.

"Hey Mare, I'm gonna go get some snacks, want anything?"

"Nah, they'll probably have something on the plane."

"Suit yourself, but if they don't that's a you problem," said Rhoda.

"Oh Rhoda I know you'll share anyway."

"I know but still, a YOU problem."

As Rhoda walked to the mini store she thought "Mary must be one of those people who are super uptight in airports, gosh I hope she can take a chill pill once we arrive in Mexico."

Rhoda walked back to the terminal where she saw Mary reading a magazine so peacefully.

"What did you get?" asked Mary.

"Oh just an apple and some almonds, ya know, nothin' fancy," explained Rhoda.

"Rows 1-16 please get in line," Rhoda and Mary heard on the announcement.

"Oh, that's us! Let's go Rhoda. Mexico here we come!"

Rhoda hoisted up her suitcase as she and Mary got in line and boarded the plane.
