With good words from Director Jouji after his interview revealing that the actress who played Momiji the rising actress does her own stunts and well disciplined, her professionalism can be compete to other celebrities that had been in the industry for years and she is just a starting actress.
And because of such vouching from a well-respected Director she is brought to her current job being casted immediately on an action-drama series as a rookie police, although she is happy to work with Director Ogata, he specially requested for Kyoko after her display of being Momiji and decided that Kyoko would be perfect for the role since she can do all her stunts and complicated scenes, he wanted to polish her.
"Tell me if it's too loose alright?" the person in charge of the wardrobe; currently Kyoko is fitting her police uniform, her combat boots fitted perfectly as well as her black trousers, her blue long sleeved button down, the vest fitted her perfectly as well as her holster belt.
"It's alright, although can I wear it for a run try it for the stunts I mean?" the lady is amazed how dedicated she is to her work and wanted to perfect her character. Kyoko comb her hair back and tied it since it was getting longer and her bestfriends advised her to let it grow and the actress agreed to it, her hair now fell on her shoulder and can be tied, leaving it with its original raven black color.
With the prop crew already finished setting up the stunt area, Kyoko asked permission and everyone watched her go, she went on to the obstacle course like it was her everyday path to school, jumpig and sliding swiftly, one of the stunt crew that she would be chasing challenged her for a game of tag and it wasn't even a minute she caught him proudly with a tackle, the staff, crew and even the producers clapped their hands, Kyoko gave a bow still catching her breath.
"Wow, where did you learn all these?" asked by one of the producers.
"Uhm… I learned from Kotetsu-sensei, he taught me combat skills for my Momiji and he taught me along the way other skills, although a friend had been teaching me parkour." She explained and they were all surprised that she went training under Kotetsu Uesugi, veteran and legendary Japanese actor and strict instructor and some of his students quit within a day.
What more the rumor about the actress being recognized by the veteran is real. "Oh, you already started?" her senpai came in and smiled at her, Kyoko smiled and bowed.
"I just tried my costume for the stunts making sure it's good to go."
"So what do you think?" Ren asked.
"It fits perfectly and I hope it wouldn't rip while I run." She awkwardly giggled knowing the material is not stretchable unlike her Momiji costume.
"That's great then." Ren nodded running out of words for her, he wanted to talk to her more but she would avoid him as usual.
"It's good to be working with you again, senpai." His heart was stabbed being treated as a mere colleague, she bowed again and rushed back to the dressing room, Yashiro shook his head and sighed feeling bad for his charge number one.
"Time for your fitting, Tsuruga-san!" called by one of the producers.
"I bet you took this job because she's in it." Snorted by Yashiro and he was right when Ren did not protest and sighed instead.
After Kyoko changed back to her usual clothes; a pair of ripped skinny jeans, white v-neck blouse and her favorite pair of converse, she grabbed her new backpack that she bought, she loved the backpack since it was her reward after her wrapping up her first movie where she is part of the cast – simple candy pink fashionable backpack that can accommodate her things that she can comfortably carry while she take her bike around.
Cruising down the street heading back to LME for her Love Me job since Sawara called her earlier, taking a shortcut in the alley where she takes her usual turn, she nearly run-over a sick kitten, Kyoko almost got herself hurt in the process of forcing the break, gasping she hopped off her bike and placed it on stand carefully.
Picking up the tiny fur-ball, "Oh no, you're hurt!" she gasped and rummaged her bag to look for a towel or any cloth, she found her used shirt and wrapped the kitten with it and carefully rode her bike heading to LME.
After securing her two wheel transport, she hid the kitten in her bag first and left an open gap for it to get some air, "I'll just report first then we'll get you some help, okay kitty?" the cute black kitten with white patch on its chest.
She carefully carried her bag up to where Sawara was, "Sachou, is calling for you." Informed by Sawara and Kyoko headed to the President's office.
As usual the head of the Agency is still in cosplay but this time he's office is swarmed by animals, puppies, kittens and fishes, his pet snake also joined the fun, Kyoko gasped from all the cuteness, "Please chose~" hummed by the President who is clad in his suit with his Love Me Paw apron.
"Uhm… Takarada-san?" Kyoko called, "You see…" she pulled out the kitten, "I almost hit the little guy while I was on my way here, but seeing it all hurt like this I can't just leave it there." She looked at the poor thing.
"Ruto." Called by the President," Get this poor thing the medical needs." He ordered and Ruto immediately took the kitten and went out.
"Uhm… you called for me, sir?" Kyoko asked.
"I forgot about that." He chuckled, "Please have a seat!" pointing at the sofa full of puppies, Kyoko picked up one and placed it on her lap.
"Aww…" it kept licking her hand and her face.
"I called you to let you know that, you my dear is not just any novice actress anymore, you are getting recognized and you need to keep yourself secured, you can't just stroll with your bike anywhere, you made a name already and despite your small fame being recognized I hope you stay humble, although you are still under the Love Me Section till your debut, I still want you to protect yourself from the wolves do you understand me?" Kyoko nodded, "I heard that Fuwa boy had been bothering you?" and she nodded, "I already talked to your landlords." He sighed, "I am admitting you to our agency apartments, you had earned your spot already and I want to give you a good benefit of being part of my Company Family." He smiled.
Kyoko looked shocked, happy that she can have her place but sad that she had to leave Taisho and Okami, "And before you decline, I talked to them and they were reluctant to let you go but they wanted your safety, talk to them first before you let me know of your decision." He smiled, "Things will be provided for you." He assured.
"Also, your stepfather sent this to my office for you to have, he doesn't know how to talk to you since he left when you were little and afraid you are upset with him." Kyoko knew that her stepfather and mother got back together after she served Temporary Restraining Order against the man but after pursuing Saena, her mother met with her in a café to catch up which was a surprise but Kyoko felt delighted the woman tried to reconnect with her.
Kyoko took the huge pink box and opened it, surprised to see gadgets in it, a new model pink Apple Mac, iPhone, power bank and external hard drive. There was a letter in a baby blue envelope and she kept it first, she was upset at the man for leaving but as she grow older she realized that the man might have a reason why and she would like to give him a chance.
She kept the new things back in the box and thanked the President, "And before you leave, please be reminded that you need to make contents for your growing fans."
"Wait, I have fans?" Kyoko blinked in shock, the man nodded.
"Yes you have dear! Goodness put up a social media account and give them some entertainment!" the problem Kyoko doesn't know how to do such.
Leaving the office she changed into her pink overalls and went to do her Love Me duty earning hundred points from whoever she is working for, when Sawara cleared her to go, she packed her stuff and headed back to Darumaya in daze.
She greeted the couple like usual and changed into her work clothes and greeted some regulars already, it was a normal working day and she was kept busy serving everyone until it was late and Okami asked her to go and rest, "Can I talk to you both?" she asked and the couple knew what she wanted, her eyes looked sad and lost, they knew she wanted to stay but the couple could not let her safety be in in danger since the Fuwa singer had been bothering her lately.
"Takarada-san already talked to you?" Okami sighed and she nodded.
"I want to stay and help with the restaurant but… I took the President's words to heart, I can't also put you in such situation when I get to be in pinch."
"If that is what you are worried of why not come and visit when you can and help." Kyoko's eyes lit up.
"Really?" she smiled.
"You are like a daughter to us, of course, we'll leave the room as it is and let you stay when you can, we'll miss you but please keep in touch?" Okami asked and Kyoko tackled her to a tight embrace and cried, Taisho who had a soft spot for her joined the hug.
Kyoko slept that night lighter, however the next morning she received a call from the President that they will be moving her belongings in the afternoon.
For the whole day, her work is mostly inside the LME and spent the morning attending school, however she was dismissed early for her to pack her things, she knows she doesn't have much since she is just boarding, however she will take her time neatly organizing her clothes and personal belongings and tidy up the bedroom before she leaves.
"Have you packed everything?" Okami came up to check on her with a sad smile.
"I did, thank you for taking care of me." She gave the woman another tight hug, "I will visit." She smiled.
"I know and we'll be welcoming you." Okami rubbed her back and Kyoko couldn't help but let her tears fall, "Shh… don't cry, we'll always be here, call me when you need anything alright?" Okami gave her forehead a kiss.
When the President brought his limousine, Ruto helped Kyoko load her things and Taisho reminded her to call when she needs anything, "Take these." Handing her a cloth case, Kyoko opened it and it was a set of traditional Japanese knives, Kyoko smiled and gave them both a hug.
It was a short ride and they arrived to an apartment complex, heading up the sixth floor and walked three doors, the older man opened the door and revealed an already furnished apartment with a simple lounge, television, air condition; the kitchen is already loaded with appliance and pots and pans, she has two bedrooms and the President showed her the masters which she shall be using, it was a nice and cozy room, two doors for the bathroom and the other for her closet, simple white vanity table that matched the other shelves and drawers in the room.
"Call if there is any emergency." Lory reminded her and she gave him thanks, the President left after.
Kyoko took time arranging her things and had little tour of her new home and finally having the time she opened her stepfather's letter, she took a seat over her lounge and shakily opened the envelope.
It was a long letter but it explained why he left and had been missing, Kyoko was right on giving him a chance after he was captured and tortured for three years and had been held captive for another five years. Kyoko felt bad he suffered enough.
She turned the letter and found his number at the back and a note telling her to call him, although looking at the late hour she planned to call him tomorrow.
Kyoko spent her first night in her apartment in peace, finally calling it her home and safe haven, she reminded herself that she will be having a packed day tomorrow knowing she will attend class in the morning, spend her early afternoon with more Love Me work, Yashiro would then accompany her for her first modeling job and for the evening she will be suiting up as Bo for the variety show.
Kyoko slept conditioning her body for the next day. The next day she woke up with a smile and prepared herself with a breakfast and shortly preparing herself for school; all dressed in her uniform she was reminded that she can no longer freely go out without risking her safety however she decided to risk it and went with her bike like usual.
Arriving at school she went on with her normal day submitting her assignments, participating in class and having her lunch, being dismissed early because of her schedule she reported back to LME and changed into her Love Me uniform, Sawara gave her minimal work and now she doesn't know what to do, heading to the Love Me training room she sat in one corner with her new phone in hand, tuning it on after charging she doesn't know how to work or set it up.
"Mogami-san?" Ren entered the Love Me room, "Hi…" he greeted, Kyoko looked up and greeted him back, "What are you doing?" he asked and crouched across her.
"I'm trying this new phone my stepfather sent to me as a gift and to call him, but I don't know how to set it up or enter my Father's number."
"I see… may I see?" Ren asked and Kyoko handed it to him, it was the new model of iPhone and Ren knows a little bit of it, he helped her set it up and entered the number, "So you got a stepfather?" he knows he is overstepping boundaries, but she responded with a nod.
"He went for work and gone missing after, he wrote me a letter with apology as to why he was missing and had been absent." She opened up, "I could not blame him, he was held captive, his line of work is dangerous and risky, but he was placed in a terrible situation, but now he is back, although afraid to talk to me because he assumed I am upset." Ren's eyes softened.
"Are you upset?" he asked and she shook her head.
"No." Ren this time sat beside her and comforted her, "Although I'm glad he is back."
"Are you close?" he asked again.
"Yes." She nodded, "He treated me like his own when I was little, he loves Mother a lot and married to our family, he cared for me and taught me many things." She smiled, "I'm afraid he might kill Shotarou if he knows what he did." Ren prayed her father would now and teach that punk a lesson he would not forget.
"Go and call him then?" Ren told and Kyoko smiled at him, the actor's heart flutters as the girl flashed him a precious genuine smile.
"I will, but I need a little time for now." She sighed, "I'm nervous, I don't know what would I say or express to him."
"So you miss him?" Ren turned to her.
"I do, very much."
"Then tell your Father how much you miss him, and tell him what he missed in your adventures here in Tokyo." He advised.
"Thank you, senpai." His hear broke after hearing her call him senpai again.
"Do have work later?" he quizzed.
"Yes, I'll be heading to studio TBM later."
"I'll be going there also, would you like to ride with us?"
"Sure, although I'm waiting for Yashiro-san for now since he'll take me to my modeling appointment."
"He might be looking for you down stairs." Ren informed and Kyoko was about to stand but Ren helped her up which she happily took his hand.
They met Lory and Yashiro talking, "I just informed Yashiro to make you your official and personal Social Media account to use, also I instructed him to take you to your appointments since we need to secure your safety, your father and mother had talked to me after they were informed about the Vie Ghoul and Fuwa incident and your Father was not a bit delighted at what happened to you." Kyoko bit her lower lip.
"I understand, sir." She nodded and gave a bow.
"You may leave." And Yashiro took her to her appointment.
"Where have you been?" Lory turned to Ren.
"Somewhere." He shrugged and left the President and went back to the Love Me room to nap.
Kyoko had been praised while she modeled for the perfume brand about her politeness, punctuality and professionalism, she remained humble and thanked everyone before leaving, Yashiro however took her to the studio first.
"You ready Kyoko-chan?" Hikaru came to check on the actress all covered with her heavy chicken suit, she gave a positive reply by throwing him a two thumbs-up and comically clucked, Hikaru laughed and called her off to stage.
As usual audience laughed and cheered on Boh, the loud chant of her name made her excited and do more for the show, despite being hidden in a huge chicken suit she loved her job more than anything and the male hosts were already a family to her.
"Boh, we got a special guest tonight and he told us he's your bestfriend~" hummed by Yuusei and Boh confused cocking her head from side to side like a real chicken while clucking, "Can you get him for us, Boh?" and with that Kyoko sprinted as she was instructed to run back stage and the camera man chased after her, leading her to the dressing room she too was surprised to see a familiar face.
"Oh Boh!" Ren acted surprised and placed his arm over the chicken's neck and dragged the Chicken out to the stage, "Can we talk later again?" he casually asked playing along for the show.
"Bokaaak!" Boh gave a thumbs up being in character.
"Great!" Ren chuckled.
They went on with the show and the roof of the studio blared with the screams of the female population, Ren revealed how he became close with the chicken and everyone gasped hearing him speak of love and what more is that he had a special someone, Kyoko deep inside is a little hurt that her precious senpai is in love with another girl.
With the show being over, Kyoko started to clean up by taking her costume off, "Kyoko?" Ren dropped his messenger bag blinking in disbelief staring at the girl all sweaty from the costume.
"T-Tsuruga-san?" Kyoko felt nervous and ready to run but she stood frozen.
Ren on the other hand had his thoughts all in a mess, until he realized that the way how Kyoko treated him professionally is respecting his space since he had another girl in mind as someone special, he knew of the actress keeping the space by being his friend and a kohai and because of it an idea popped to his mind to get him to another base, it would be slow but would be better. "Who would've thought my chicken bestfriend would turn out to be my real life friend." He gave that one sided smile, Kyoko gave an awkward laugh and looked away.
"Sorry I didn't tell you." She felt guilty and Ren wanted to punish her but instead.
"Is it still alright to ask you for advice or help, since Boh is my bestfriend." Ren implied to Kyoko he wanted to bestfriends with her by sharing his problems that needed solving.
"Oh… it would be fine." Kyoko sheepishly smiled and nodded.
"Great! So should I still drop you home?" he teased and Kyoko blushed a bit.
"Thank you, although I don't live in Darumaya anymore." The actor looked at her in surprise and walked closer, Kyoko took her seat on the huge equipment box and Ren joined her, she told him about what the President had said.
"He has a point, and besides it is about time you deserve a little credit, you had been working hard and earning your spot, you had been doing well, and I am proud to be your senpai." He patted her shoulder and smiled making sure she is well praised and make her feel a little confident since she had been putting herself bellow.
He waited for her to finish changing and amazed how she managed to look cute and stylish despite wearing a simple black ripped-skinny jeans, sleeveless blouse under her high collar black leather jacket that perfectly hugged her body.
She cutely worn her backpack which made Ren chuckled, they met the Ishibashi boys by the hallway and bid their goodbye. They dropped Yashiro off first and went to her flat next.
Entering the complex's parking area Kyoko stepped out the vehicle and smiled at him, "I hope my new bestfriend would let me have dinner at her flat soon?" he pushed his luck which made Kyoko baffle but happy to know he would like to eat.
"Certainly!" Kyoko smiled and skipped to the elevator up to her floor.
