Morning rises and RNJR awakens to the sound of coughing. They see the source coming from Qrow as he covers his mouth with one hand and the other gripping his wound. Ruby hurried to his side only to see the blood on his hand was purple.
"Well that's unfortunate," was all Qrow could say.
They make a stretcher and move out. Hoping to save him they stumble upon something new. To them it looked like any dust crystal. That was until Nora picked it up and a dome of dark blue energy surrounded them. In a burst of energy, they were gone.
"Where . . . where am I,"Ruby asked as she woke up.
She observed her surroundings and concluded that she was in an infirmary of sorts.
White and steel grey patterns marked the walls, with a hint of red. Monitors, IV bags and other surgical tools were everywhere. To her left she saw the rest of RNJR and to her right she saw Qrow. It looks like they were able to get help, but the bigger question was from who.
She got off the bed and proceeded towards the door. It didn't open. Then a voice came out of nowhere.
"I would wait for Anderson to clear you first before you leave med-bay."
Ruby turned her head to see who was talking only to see that no one was there.
"Who said that," she asked?
"Over here."
She looked at the counter and saw some sort of emitter port. It began to manifest an image of someone. A small figure of a woman clad in in changing colors of blue, green, and purple. She was also wearing strange yet familiar armor. It then introduced itself.
"Greetings I'm Aurora, UNSC shipboard AI, serial number ARA 1313-7. Welcome aboard the UNSC Defiant to the End. The Captain will be intrigued by how you came to be aboard his ship, and so am I."
