~(?'s PoV)~

I peered through the shadows for a while,waiting for the right moment to strike. I was stalking a rattata,letting each paw come down slow on the grass. Just before I was close enough to use toxic,the ground suddenly collapsed below me. I let out a screech of shock,and I was falling...

Falling...

Falling...

At last,I landed. The breath was knocked out of me as I landed on my back,feeling my shoulders collide with the smooth rocks below me. Immediatly,I noted I was surrounded in cold water. I pushed myself to my paws,and immediatly fell back on my bottom. The world wouldn't stop spinning.

I lit up the glowing ring patterns around my body to try and get a better view of what was around me. I was surrounded in a yellow glow,and I noticed that there were rocks looming out of the water. I limped over to one and leaned against it,groaning. It wasn't until I felt a faint rumble that I felt something was off.

I noticed that the water around me was...

Becoming filled with blood. I gasped sharply,and leapt backwards,feeling shocked and fearful. The ground rumbled again,stronger this time. My heart began to flutter like a wild Fletchling trapped in a cage,with no way out. The red clouds kept appearing under my paws,and I finally realised that the red wasn't accually blood,but some other strange substance.

"W-What is going on!?" I shouted as the ground shook once more. Suddenly,I could hear a heartbeat. It was like I was in the cast of one of those scary movies I sometimes saw trainers watching. Suddenly,the ground gave a violent shake,and I fell off my paws. It felt like a raging Garchomp had just used Earquake,and I watched in shock as a shape started to rise from the water.

I held perfectly still,feeling my lights beginning to dim. The shape hovered over the water. It was similar to an egg,with ridges at the top and bottom and grey diamond patterns over its deep black base. It felt as though half an hour passed before I could hear a low moan. In the small amount of light,I saw the shape beginning to unwrap itself.

And hovering over the lake now,was a strange Pokémon I had seen before,filling me with dread when I figured out who it was. It had black all over its back,while most of the rest was red. Black veins spread out from it's chest like a star,going through its wings and tail. It had a set of dark horns over is head,and gleaming cyan eyes. The grey diamond pattern stayed,with a very fluffy ruff that trailed at the back of it's neck like smoke,and I saw five sharp claws at the ends of its wings and tail,all three of which looked the same.

It was Yveltal,in the flesh.

~(Yveltal's PoV)~

I felt dizzy,confused,and pain...but all at the same time,I felt joy. I couldn't help but smile now that I was awake. It was a special event for me,a time I could only enjoy for a few hours before being put back to sleep again for many more centuries. This was just the fourth time I had woken. I stretched out my wings and talons,feeling the cold,relieving air of the underground lake.

Suddenly,I sensed a presence. With my night vision,I glared around my area. And by one of the rocks,I spotted an Umbreon,huddling in fear. "Who are you?" I growled. The umbreon only just managed to form words. "I-I'm E-Ebony...I-Im an U-umbreon. I-I-I kind of...f-fell down h-here..." She stuttered. I glared for a moment.

Pokémon like her...they could be awake for many hours at a time,and they loved,loved to sleep. Not me,I hated it to my very core. The thought of Xerneas and Zygarde,forcing me to curl up and sleep made me want to Oblivion wing whole forests at a time. I was sick of how the two kinds of pokemon treated me,using their combined power and type advantages to hold me on a leash.

It angered me,to see that Zygarde allowed life to flourish in ever corner of the world,and Xerneas to be free wherever she wished to go,while I was forced in one place,unable to move,all while Death reigned nowhere but the few wastelands that could no longer support life,all of which Xerneas was seeking to 'fix' and bring life back to them.

I calmed myself,breathing deeply when I noticed the Umbreon...Ebony? was starting to shuffle away from me. "I'm...sorry. This is the first time I've been awake in seven centuries." I said,ducking my head down. Ebony gave me a sympathetic look. "O-oh! I'm sorry..." She said. I shrugged. "Eh,it's ok. I'm used to it." I said. I glanced up,and saw a hole in the ground. And through the hole,the stars.

I glanced back at Ebony. "Do you need to get back up...?" I asked,trying a different method of greeting people after waking up,using words rather then blasting them to tiny bits. The umbreon nodded. "Yes! Please,I dont...r-really want to be s-stuck down h-here..." She said slowly. I grabbed her in a talon before she could finish her last scentence,causing her to give a yelp of surprise.

With my massive,powerful wings,I burst into the open night air. I breathed. Oh,the fresh air,and being under the stars! I dropped the umbreon off on the ground. She jumped away. I still felt stiff as I pulled at the life energy of the plants and grass around me,trying to absorb as much as I could without anything noticing. I wanted to be out here,awake,for as long as I could. Perhaps if I didn't start draining everything right away so quickly and in such large amounts,Xerneas wouldn't notice I was awake.

"A-anyways,I have a question...Y-Yveltal?" Ebony asked,looking up at me. "Hmm?" I peered down at the smaller pokemon. "Y-You said this is your first time being awake in s-seven centuries...b-but the Pokémon around here sometimes talk about h-how you destroyed Allearth Forest only l-last year..." The umbreon said,ducking her head down. I felt confused,then I realised what they were talking about.

"Oh! Well,I expect you didn't realise this,but...there's more then one Yveltal,as there are multiple Zygarde and Xerneas."
