Chapter 1: The new life
Many eons ago, when the Earth was young. Millions of years before the first humans was the age of the great lizards.
The dinosaurs.
These massive creatures roamed the earth for thousands of centuries. Some ate plants. While others, the dreaded Sharpteeth, hunted their fellow dinosaurs.
But the Plant-eaters and many friendly Sharpteeth had found refuge from the dangerous Sharpteeth in one special place.
The Great Valley.
A place where friends, Littlefoot the Longneck,
Cera the Three-horn,
Ducky the Swimmer,
Petrie the Flyer,
Spike the Spike-tail,
Chomper the Two-claw,
And Ruby the Fast-runner,
to grow and play under the watchful eyes of their loving families.
They are the Gang of Seven. After The Great Earthshake split them up from their families and their defeat of The Great Sharptooth, the seven have become best friends. They were on the top of a hill, looking at their beautiful new home. A place where Leaf-eaters and Sharpteeth all got along with many others coming over from the out side world. The Mysterious Beyond.
"Littlefoot! Littlefoot! It's time to come home!"
"That's my grandpa." Said Littlefoot. "I'll see you guys later."
"See you later Littlefoot." Said Cera.
"Goodbye." Said Ruby.
"See you after breakfast." Said Chomper.
Littlefoot ran through the valley, passing many kinds of dinosaurs as they were eating plants or scaly-swimmers or bugs. Until at last, he got to Grandpa Longneck who was waiting for him.
"Hiya Grandpa."
"Hello Littlefoot. Come eat your breakfast."
"Okay. I'm hungry."
Of course, though The Great Valley was a wonderful place, it still had its dangers.
As the two Longnecks were out of sight, an Egg-stealer popped its head out from behind tall grass and looked around.
"Hmm. I like this place. Yes. I like this place a lot. Don't you Strut?"
But then, he heard the sound of chowing. And he knew who it was making that sound.
"Strut, gut up here!"
Another Egg-stealer had come out from under. Much to the elders anger, he was chomping on some of the grass.
"What?" He asked as he swallowed his food. "I'm eating."
The elder did not want his brother to be like the Leaf-eaters. This got him to grab Strut by his neck.
"Spit that stuff out! Go on, spit it out!"
"But Ozzy, I'm hungry."
This was the last straw. Ozzy began to slap Strut's face, making spit the grass out and cough.
"Spit it out you Grass Guzzler! No brother of mine is going to eat vegetation! Not while I'm around."
Strut sighed. "Then what are we going to eat Ozzy?"
"Eggs dear brother. Eggs." He said as he looked back at the valley. But they didn't see any of the Sharptooth residents. "The valley is full of them. Nice, plump, juicy eggs!"
As Littlefoot and Grandpa Longneck had their breakfast, they were down to the last Tree-star on the tree. Witch Grandpa Longneck used his foot to bend it over to Littlefoot.
"Here you are Littlefoot. The last Tree-star is for you."
Littlefoot grabbed the Tree-star and began to eat. As he ate it he said,
"Great trick Grandpa."
Grandpa Longneck laughed a bit. "It's not a trick Littlefoot. All Longnecks can do it."
When Littlefoot swallowed his Tree-star, he then said, "Great. Let me try it."
Littlefoot then ran to another tree and placed his front foot on it to bend it. But it wouldn't move. So he tried both of his front feet. But he only got it to wiggle a bit. Now he tried climbing up on it. This time, he got it to bend.
"Careful Littlefoot." Grandpa warned him.
Before Littlefoot responded, the tree flung him off and he rolled a couple feet back. When we stopped, he saw hot water blasting out from the ground. Making him realize he's in a geyser field. The one under him was about to blow up. But Grandpa grabbed him in time and moved him away as the geyser blew hot steam out of the ground.
"I guess I'm too little to do that. Huh Grandpa?" Littlefoot asked as Grandpa put him on the ground.
"You're still very young. But you'll get the hang of it someday."
"Aw. I hate being little."
"Don't worry. You'll be grown up soon enough."
"Hey Littlefoot." Ruby called from the bushes. "Come on."
"Grandpa. Can I go play?" Littlefoot asked him.
"Have fun." He said as he lifted his tail. Alouing Littlefoot to go and run off with Ruby. "Ah. The valley's a wonderful place to grow up."
Soon, Littlefoot and Ruby met up with the rest of the gang. Just as Littlefoot had tackled Spike onto the ground.
"Let's play. Let's play." Ducky said egerly.
"We're playing Tag." Said Cera. "But I'm not it."
"Not me ether." Said Littlefoot.
"Not it." Said Ducky.
"Me no it ether." Said Petrie.
"Don't look at me." Said Chomper.
"It isn't me ether." Said Ruby.
Witch means, "Spike's it!" All of them shouted.
Knowing that he's it, Spike began to chase the others all around the valley. However, nether one of them was aware of the danger at hand.
