Hi! I know I haven't been on in a while (not sure if anyone cares) but, I dunno if you've noticed, but we're kind of in the middle of a global epidemic. Yeah.
But anyway, I recently started watching Black Butler, or *checks spelling* K-u-r-o-s-h-i-t-s-u-j-i. It's addictive. But yeah, I highly recommend(unless you're squeamish), and without further ado, here ya go.
Thump, thump, thump
His footsteps echoed loudly off the alley walls as he frantically tore down the dark passageway. The sounds of battle resonated in the night, the clang of metal flinchingly loud in the silence. He turned one corner, then the next, blindly following the noises of the fight. Then, a loud squelch and a cry made it's way to Ciel's ears. Turning a corner, he skidded to a stop and was met with a gruesome sight.
There was his butler, slumped against a wall, blood gushing out of his chest. A foreign weapon stuck out of his chest, it's owner long gone from the scene.
"SEBASTIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!"
Ciel sat up in his bed, sweating hard. His legs were tangled in his sheets and his hair plastered to his forehead. In no time at all, his butler was right by his side, but Ciel was still confused. He batted away Sebastian's hands, hugging his knees to his chest and letting the silent tears soak his nightclothes.
"Se- Sebastian, you, the man, alley, bl- blood so, so much blood," Ciel continued to mumble incoherently, his words partially muffled by the cloth obscuring his face. Then, he felt himself being enveloped in warmth. Lifting his head, he saw the black fabric. It took him a couple of seconds to realize that his always professional butler had brought Ciel to his chest and was hugging him, whispering into his ear.
Normally, he would have jumped away from his butler, flushing red, but now (for reasons he would later deny) he relaxed into Sebastian's chest. The butler and the boy stayed like that for a long time, until Ciel had finally fallen asleep again. Tucking him into bed, Sebastian turned to leave the room when he was stopped by a soft whisper.
"Stay," Sebastian turned back, and without a word, settled himself at his master's side. And there they stayed for the rest of the night.
