Walking out of Vast Poni Canyon, Grovyle felt confident. She'd taken on lots of other pokemon in Poni Gauntlet, to toughen herself up. She wanted to be stronger as part of one of her goals in life, so she would go to the Battle Tree every week to help herself get stronger. She didn't want to overdo herself to the point she'd replace fights with breaths, so she would mainly let herself free on the days she wasn't there.

Someone she liked to be alongside was her best friend, Monferno. It was natural for her to feel secure in his company as they'd known eachother since first grade. She knew that she loved him a lot, but a lot of the time she'd start to question her true feelings for her best friend. This had been going on for about 3 years, and everytime she got that feeling she felt prouder and prouder of herself every time she fought alongside him.

At this point, she knew she was developing a crush on her best friend. But things from then were starting to stress her out. She'd constantly get anxious and would worry about him potentially not feeling the same for her or other things. She just wanted to know. Sometimes she'd consider making deadlines for herself to talk to him about her feelings, but her timid personality got the best of her.

The sky was starting to get darker as she knew she needed to head back home. She quickly took off and started sprinting back to her house. As she ran, she looked around her. She saw a couple; a male Espeon with a female Jolteon. She saw that they seemed to be a perfectly happy relationship, conversing a lot and laughing here and there. She decided there was no time to watch further and ran faster.

By the time she was back, there were stars in the sky. She watched as more appeared. She finally walked into her house and locked her door, staggering up to her room. She sat on the side of her bed, getting those thoughts again.

Finally, she couldn't take it anymore. She had to confess herself to her friend some way or another. And even if he doesn't feel the same, a simple dumb pile of words wouldn't be able to break a decade-long friendship. She had to force herself. If she let these feelings roam around her head any longer, her anxiety would only worsen to the point it would be unbearable and she would start hurting herself.

She went into her bed, trying to get some rest so she'd have some courage in her by tomorrow. But she couldn't sleep. She was too anxious to rest. She tried to force herself to sleep over 10 times, but she woke up every time. By now, it was 7AM. There was absolutely no point in trying to rest now. She would have to rely on caffeine to keep herself mentally alive by the time she was going to do it.

She trailed downstairs, the sun slowly rising minute by minute as she'd figured. She sat on a computer chair for a while, just staring into the abyss, finding there'd be nothing else to do while she waited. Her whole house was silent, just the ticking of a clock being heard. By the time she'd looked at the time, it was 10AM. It was time to do it.

She ran outside, locking her house after her. As she sprinted to Vast Poni Canyon, all she could hear in her head was Doomsday Zone. She was there before she knew it. She felt her heart pounding and her skin rattling. Everything was starting to come crashing down, especially her anxiety.

She saw him walking down the path, looking into the sky until he saw her standing by the tree.

'Oh, hi!' He said, pulling a tame smile.

'Hi..' She said. She walked towards him, things starting to get more intense in her head the closer she got.

'I came here because.. I wanted to tell you something.' Grovyle said, her body now rattling badly.

'What, exactly?' he asked, seeming concerned at her constant shaking.

Grovyle put her hands behind her back, staring at the huge flame on his tail. 'I want to make this straightforward, and it's fine if you don't think the same way, but.. I think I like you, more than a best friend.'

But as soon as she got it all off her chest, she froze. She wasn't even shaking anymore. She felt so crushed by anxiety she couldn't even move.

Monferno stood, looking away shyly. Then, he wrapped his arms around her.

"This is a good sign.." Grovyle thought.

'I love you too, Grovyle..' He said.

As soon as he said that, Grovyle could feel so much weight being carried off her shoulders she thought she'd fall over. She hugged him back, feeling so happy about herself.

They walked to the top of the canyon together, holding hands. They quickly separated hands whenever someone came nearby however, as they were both pretty shy about what had just happened. Once they were at an area they knew nobody else was in, Grovyle leaned in, kissing him deeply.

Monferno caressed her, kissing her back and pinning her against the wall.

'Heheh..' Grovyle giggled as she started to blush really hard.

He then kissed her neck, starting to lower her as he began to stroke her by her chest.

She loved the feeling, starting to mimic, but going slower.

He then started to feel down her waist, getting closer to her womanhood.

She then started to rub him by his member. He groaned slightly, moving his hands into her vaginal area and rubbing her clit.

Grovyle started to moan, kissing his neck.

He then placed her on the ground, getting on top of her and entering her by her passage, starting to thrust deep and fast inside her.

As a while passed, Grovyle moaned even louder, feeling her fluids starting to come up.

Grovyle then came shortly after, her juices all between his legs.

'Hah!' Monferno eventually stopped and got off of her.

Grovyle was still breathing very fast as she got up slowly. She felt her body had warmed up so much from it all. She got up and stood on her legs, kissing him once more, before the pair eventually left.

The two simply felt too lovesick with each other to leave in separate ways. They both decided to go to Grovyle's place, to rest together. The sky had gotten dark quick.
