FAIRIES MISSION

CHAPTER 1

Team Natsu ran behind their enemy, he was fast and able to dodge their attacks quite well. Every attack he seemed to counter with one of his own, the team found it hard to read him and his attacks. They were now in a dense forest south of Fiore, and were on the track to an abandoned warehouse the enemy seemed he was leading them there. They couldn't identify what he was, for he seemed like a shadow that no matter how many light spells Lucy threw at he wouldn't take damage.

Five years after they won the fight with Zeref and Acnologia, Lucy Heartfilia now at the age of 24 have grown in power unbelievably, she got a lot of new keys and practiced for years to perfect her star dresses, which she figured can also be used on silver keys, and now the S-class mage has been known throughout the country as the celestial maiden, the woman who is connected to the stars and well loved by her team and family.

Erza Scarlet, also titled Titania, has become even more powerful than before, the mage now running for the SS-class rank at the age of 26, the beautiful Titania is now the second hand for the powerful master of the Guild Fairy Tail, Laxus Dreyar, who took this position after his grandfather, the former master of Fairy Tail Makarov Dreyar died.

Wendy Marvel, now a beautiful young woman at the age of seventeen, is undefeatable with her speed and agility. The young dragon slayer has grown fiercer on the battlefield, using her power in both offence and defense, she continues to strike down her enemies. Her partner, the exceed Charle, gained more control on her human form, and now she joins Wendy and Lucy on the battlefield. After the battle ended five years ago, Lucy, Wendy and Charle became inseparable, both girls refer to Lucy as their big sister, and Lucy was more than happy for she already considered them both as sisters, the three lived together in a huge apartment close to the guild.

Natsu Dragneel, the fire dragon slayer and also the tenth wizard saint at the age of 26, is known throughout the country for his excessive destruction of cities. He is also responsible for the growing number of complaints resting on the master's office. Natsu is known for his strength to fight for his Nakama even through difficult times. His partner, the exceed Happy, is the same as five years ago, always demanding fish and nagging about Lucy's weight. Nevertheless, his stamina grew that now he is able to go on days flying none stop, he can carry two people at the same time. He has been trying to transform into a human like Charle, so far he succeeded in only transforming his head, and after the rest found it quite disturbing he continued to practice though in secret.

Gray Fullbuster, the ice maker mage and also the ice demon slayer who is 26 years old, has been developing more and more in his magic, that now the use of his demon powers does not affect him anymore, he still holds himself responsible for his father's death, but never shows it to anyone, especially not to his expecting wife, Juvia Fullbuster who is in her third month of their second child. His first kid Elsa, who is now 2 years old, demonstrated her ability to make tiny snowflakes.

Everyone on the team had families of their own, except for Lucy and Wendy, for the latter being way too young. Natsu married his childhood love Lisanna Strauss and now trying for a baby. Erza scarlet married the ex-convict who got cleared of his crimes, Jellal Fernandez and are as well trying for a baby.

All that is left is Lucy, who felt that she still hasn't met the one, they all tease her about it, but all support her nonetheless, and after all someone is quite happy that Lucy is not seeing anyone, and that someone is Wendy and Charle, because that means that now Lucy can dote on them and them alone, and they love the attention they get from their big sister, so at the moment they are not liking the idea of sharing her with anyone.

Now back at the present, the shadow continued dodging their attacks and after quite a bit, he quickened his pace when he saw the warehouse up front. He went in the dark entrance and they all quickly followed in behind him.

"Lucy, Natsu now!" Erza commanded.

"Hai!" they both replied. Lucy closed her eyes and put her hand in front of her, a small ball of celestial light formed in her hand to help guide them through the halls, while Natsu lit his hand on fire.

The shadow was now up ahead leading them into a room divided in five halls and right before them, it disappeared. The team stopped at the five halls ahead of them that were numbered from one to five.

"Well that's something you don't see every day." Commented Gray, Lucy nodded in agreement to his observation.

"Which one should we choose?" asked the young dragon.

"I don't think we have time for the whole team to enter one hall, each one pick a number and go in. Lucy if you please."

"Of course." The blonde smiled at the Titania, and held up her hand to make more light balls, she made four, one for each member except for Natsu who used his fire.

Lucy went in front of the hall labeled as hall 1, Gray for 2, Wendy and Charle for 3, Erza for 4, and Natsu plus Happy for five.

"On the count of three." Whispered Erza, the rest got ready to go down the hall. Lucy, Wendy and Charle looked at each other, all nodding and saying without words to stay safe for the other.

"One…"

They crouched low to prepare themselves.

"Two…"

They readied themselves to run.

"Three!"

They all departed down their assigned halls with an unmatched speed, the first to arrive to a room was Natsu. He opened the door leading inside the room to see that it was wholly trashed. He looked around and was able to spot something by the window. He quietly came in with Happy and closed the door behind him, he used his senses to see if the man was alive or dead, the fairies no longer felt shame in killing, for they encountered many people that deserved death over imprisonment. He could hear a faint heartbeat and shallow breaths coming from the man, he quickly went to his aid after he told Happy to hide behind the desk, only to find out that this was not a man at all. This was in fact a woman with long silver hair, blood red eyes and fingernails that could kill a person easily.

"Help me…" she croaked. She wasn't covered in blood and she didn't seem to have any injuries, so he didn't know what was happening to her.

As he got closer, he noticed she was holding a chain that had a cross dangling from it. He crouched next to her "What happened to you? Can you tell me what is wrong?" he asked her as he looked her over to check again, he was left flabbergasted as to what was happening to her, he smelt the air and there was no trace of poison in her body.

"I need you… to… help me…" She inched her hand closer so he could take, and without hesitation he took. He was about to lift her off the ground so he would carry her out when he heard a click noise.

"First player, Natsu Dragneel, confirmed." A voice sounded from the little bracelet she put around his wrist.

"What did you do to me?" he looked at her wide eyed as she got up easily and dusted her clothes.

"You'll see." She smirked a smirk that promised pain.

He turned around to leave for he wanted to warn his nakama, when he noticed that he was fading.

"Natsuuuuu~" Happy, seeing that his best friend is fading, rushed to help him.

"Happy no-" their voices echoed as they both faded into nothing.

The woman smirked as she looked at the door "Two down, five to go."

…

Erza was the second to arrive to a room, she went to open the door but a feeling of dread washed over her, and it seemed that it was coming from the room, she quietly opened the door only to be met by a bloodied room that expanded far from what the light provided to see.

She came in and closed the door behind her, she walked further into the room sword in hand ready to attack, when a sight popped in front of her and stopped her in her tracks. A man with long purple hair and a sword strapped on his waist was looking out on the balcony. She crept closer to the balcony door and peeped at him, the man's clothes were all bloody, blood was dripping from his sword. She decided to uncover herself.

"Turn around slowly or you will be knocked out." She threatened with her sword pointing towards the man's back.

"Erza Scarlet, I was expecting you would come. You actually made me quite happy, thank you for choosing the fourth hall."

Erza' eyes widened for she was taken aback by what he said, it didn't matter that he knew her, almost all of their enemies did, but why thank her? That threw her off, more dread kept washing over her, she pressed the sword on the man's back.

"What do you mean? Explain yourself!" Erza demanded.

He merely chuckled before he turned around her slowly and met her gaze.

His eyes were breathtaking, it was the color of honey but a bit darker. His eyes held all the mischief you could see in the world and she didn't like that.

"Well aren't you going to talk?"

He smirked and time seemed to slow down, seconds later Erza found herself panting on the floor, he was faster than she predicted, just as she was about to counter attack, she felt something click on her wrist, she looked down to see it was some kind of weird looking bracelet.

"Second player, Erza scarlet, confirmed." Erza looked at the man in front of her and was about to lunge at him when her hand went through him, she stopped and looked at her hand, bewildered that they seemed to be disappearing, her sword fell on the floor and faded back to her storage.

"Who are you?" she finally croaked as she was about to fade entirely.

"You'll see." He only smirked her way before she completely dissipated into nothing.

…

Wendy and Charle arrived at a vast room that had its doors already open, she came in and looked around the empty and clean room, Charle flew next to her.

"Wendy, I don't feel alright. I feel like there is something wrong." The feline whispered from beside Wendy.

"I feel you, my senses are on high alert."

The bluenette crept closer and light shone from around the room, the light continued on till it finally shone on an altar.

A man with long unruly red hair laid there, he seemed he was on his last breath as he moved his head to look in Wendy's direction, his eyes made her widen her own, they were the color of gray close to ash, but they held a lot of sadness, sadness that she understood as not wanting to leave, not wanting to die. And she wasn't going to let him, she rushed to his side but he tried to stop her.

"Don't worry, I can heal you." She looked at him with concern in her eyes, the man smiled weakly and whispered something to her.

The click noise sounded and she looked at her wrist that she didn't realize was on the altar next to the man's hand.

"Third player, Wendy Marvel, confirmed."

She looked at the man to see him smiling sadly at her, as if he was apologizing.

"What is this?" she asked readying herself to attack when Charle sobbed from behind her.

"W-Wendy… your hand."

The young dragon looked at her partner then at her hand to see herself fading, Charle moved a step closer to her only to be stopped by Wendy telling her not to come any closer.

"No I don't know what's happening, don't come any closer."

"Let her, you will need all the help you can get."

She turned to the man who was still smiling, "What do you mean-" Charle had already reached her when she faded at last, but she didn't go alone, Charle went with her.

…

Gray was in a room on fire, everything was burning, even the corpse of the man who was looking at him seeking his help.

He started using ice to melt the fire but he wasn't doing much, finally he covered himself in ice and walked to where the man was then held his hand out for him. The ice was melting off his body as he got closer for the man seemed he couldn't reach his hand, and once he did he was able to get a good look on the man.

Long red hair, black horns sticking out of head, and his body even though is on fire, was not burnt off at all, it seemed as it kept regenerating every second. But what had him feeling unsure of whether or not he should save this man was his dull empty eyes that seemed to be waiting for him to come closer.

Gray, not listening to the warnings blaring in his head, took a step closer and reached out his hand.

"Come on take my hand." He gritted out, only for the man to smirk.

"Gladly."

The click noise sounded and Gray looked at his wrist.

"Forth player, Gray Fullbuster, confirmed."

He looked at the man who was grinning like a madman "I can't wait to meet you there, we will be perfect together."

Gray turned to make a run for it and warn the others, when the fire got stronger and blocked his exit, he tried to turn it off by using ice, but ice didn't form in his hands.

"What…?" bewildered, he looked at his hands only to not find any, he looked at the monster ahead of him and before he could even ask him anything he was gone.

Lucy was the last to arrive at a room. She entered and was met by rocks over rocks, like in an abandoned building. She crept closer till she saw the window, it was broken and night light was pouring in from it.

'It wasn't nighttime when we entered.' She thought as she looked around, suddenly aware that there was another person in the room with her. Her eyes landed on a young man who looked to be in his twenties, he was surrounded by lit candles.

Upon closer inspection she noticed the man was bleeding, quickly she rushed to his aid. She crouched beside him and took off his shirt, she tried stopping the bleeding but blood kept gushing out.

"Damn it!" she cursed under her breath, she took out her key and chanted "Star dress-"

"Don't bother… I am already a goner." Breathed the man from beneath her.

"What don't say that I can help you-"

"I know you can, and you will…" she looked at him confused and asked "How so?"

"Give me your hand."

Lucy was hesitant because to her the man was mysterious and could be an enemy but in his state she doubted he would much. That was the mistake she did at the time.

She gave him her hand and the bracelet clicked on her wrist.

"Fifth and final player, Lucy Heartfilia, confirmed."

The blonde looked at the man to see that the bleeding had stopped and his wound was closing on its own. She closed her eyes and breathed out "What is this? You tricked me…"

The man looked at her in wonder on how she can stay calm "No I didn't, I really do need your help, just not here."

The blonde looked at him in confusion, she then followed his line of view to her hands, who started glowing gold and fading.

She looked up at him to see him smiling at her, she was about to call on a spirit when her voice didn't come out, and she faded out of view.

"Are all the players been picked out?" asked the silver haired woman.

"Yes." The used to be injured man turned to her.

"Good, we picked a good team." Said the red haired man.

"Two really caught my interest." The purple haired man remarked.

"I really hope they will be capable in helping us." The horned man grumbled before they too disappeared.

…

Lucy woke up on a field that seemed to go thousand miles away, she looked around her and all she could see was green.

"Where the hell am I?" whispered the blonde.

Suddenly, the bracelet dinged.

"New message has arrived."

Lucy pressed on the bracelet and a screen popped in front of her with a letter in it, she pressed on it and the message opened:

Dear player, you have been selected in this game for various of reasons that will not be told now, so have patience as you will know everything later on.

Now for game rules, you will have main missions and side missions, you have to complete them if you wish to go back to your world. You can decline five side missions and three main missions, if you declined side missions more than you are allowed, you will be dealt a punishment, but if you declined main missions more than you are allowed, it will be game over for you and you will be stuck in the world you were transported to.

Every time you finish a mission successfully, you will get a reward. In the task bar found on the top of the screen, you will find your missions, each time you finish one, another will appear.

Now as a warning, if you die in this world your corpse will be transported back to your world so that your family may mourn you.

Any other rules and announcements will be given to you later, you can use your type of magic here but if used it all you will need a whole week to restore it and be able to use it again, so be careful of the amount of magic you use.

The blonde fell to the ground with her mouth wide open "What the hell does that mean?" she muttered, she was still in shock of the whole situation when another ding caught her attention.

"You have one main missions and two side missions."

Lucy opened up her task bar and hit on the missions.

"Main mission: complete the hunter exam and get a hunter license. Side missions: 1- train for the exam. 2- After you are done with your training, go to Whale Island and go from there to the exam."

"What… the… hell… IS A HUNTER'S EXAM?!" Lucy finally flipped and her calm demeanor changed.

Meanwhile with the rest, things were not looking good either. Grey woke up on a snowy mountain and got a main mission that stated he should go work as a familiar to the Mikage shrine, and two side missions stating that he should train for six months before leaving and enroll in the high school close to the shrine as a teacher of some kind.

Erza woke up in a deserted land, looking around her she couldn't see anything. Then she got her main mission that stated she is to find a magi named Aladdin, as for her two side mission it was to train and to aid in the escape of a girl called Morgiana.

Natsu woke up in an alley, and next to him was a folder. In the folder is an application to some summer school. He then received his mission that revealed he should let a girl named Moka to reveal her identity to him. As for the two side missions, it was to befriend Moka and keep her away from Tsukune.

And lastly, Wendy woke up in a rundown house and was at the moment being taken care of by an old lady.

"Ah, you are at last awake my dear." The elderly woman was making lunch.

"Ano, I'm sorry but could you please tell me where am I?" she looked around her noting the unfamiliar place.

"Well, honey this is my home. It is nothing fancy but it is still my home." She replied as she handed Wendy a bowl of hot soup.

Wendy, after she remembered an important thing, looked around her frantically. The woman seeing this heaved a sigh and flicked the young girl's forehead. Wendy yelped and rubbed her temple.

"What was that for?" she whined at the older woman.

"Your food was getting cold, eat then continue to search for whatever it is you are searching for."

The youngster looked down at her bowl and started eating after she thanked the old lady. When she was done, she smacked her head for forgetting her manners.

"Ano, I apologize for not asking earlier but what is your name?"

The woman looked at her then smiled "My name is Yamane, what is yours dear?"

"My name is Wendy, nice to meet you Yamane-san, can you please tell me what happened?"

Yamane looked at her concern etching her face, "You do not remember my dear?"

"I don't remember how I got here. Also was there someone else with me?"

Yamane tapped her chin in thought, then replied to Wendy' question "Other than a white cat nothing else." Wendy perked up at the mention of Charle.

"Where is she right now?" asked the bluenette as she looked around.

"Oh she is just outside. Now for what happened to you, you were drifting in a river and you got washed up in front of my house. I took you in and cared for you, you have been asleep for three days straight."

The young dragon jumped for her bed "What really?" the fear and worry visible on her face.

Yamane smiled softly at her "Yes but do not worry, you are better now. Ah, I have to tell you something, you bracelet kept making weird sounds all throughout the days you were unconscious."

Wendy looked down at her bracelet and grimaced, remembering what happened before waking up here. She went outside and noticed the small farm ahead of her, she spotted a white plush sleeping on a barrel laid out.

'No it can't be.' The bluenette looked horrified at the cat sleeping soundly.

"Charle…" she whispered softly, the cat's ears moved slightly before she opened her eyes and looked at Wendy. She then jumped at the young girl and rubbed her face on hers while purring in the process.

"You transformed into a normal cat?!" Wendy exclaimed shockingly, and the white cat only nodded.

Ding…

Wendy looked at the bracelet and tapped on it, in front of her appeared the letter with her main mission and side missions.

"Main mission, become a maid serving under princess Yona, side missions: help save the princess from the attack, keep her away from Soo-won."

A wind blew by and Wendy's hair flew with it, she looked at the sun then around her 'What is happening…?'

What am I doing? I don't know.

Why did I start a new story when I already have two others? I don't know.
