Luffy tugged impatiently at his tie as he waited for his bus along with Usopp and his friends. "I don't want to be here right now, I'd rather be in bed with meat," Usopp was teetering on his heels and only thought of Kaya. The bus finally showed up and Luffy was excited. Not for school, but for a certain orangette that smells of tangerines.
"Nami!" The outburst caused the others to look at him weird. "Hi Luffy," Nami said while blushing. Luffy plops down next to Nami and swaps schedules with his date mate. Sanji noodle danced his way on the bus and saw Nami. "Nami swan! The uniform makes you look like an angel!" "Tch like she'll like anything that you'll say curly brow," "YOU WANNA GO MOSS FOR BRAINS!?" "BRING IT LOVER BOY!"
As the two started to fight one another yet again, Usopp tried to separate the two from maiming each other. Luckily Usopp had some help from a young boy with brown hair and blue eyes. "Whew hey thanks for helping me out there. I don't think I've seen you before," As soon as Usopp thanked the young teen, he immediately started to recoil away from Usopp. "Why is he talking to me?! I mean I don't even know him, he might think I'm a freak," The little boy fidgeted with his pink hat. Usopp reached and put his hand on his shoulder.
"Sorry if I startled you, my name is Usopp. The two you helped me pull apart are Zoro and Sanji," "Chopper.." the brunette said in a quiet voice. "Nice to meet you, and sorry for them again," Usopp said as he gestured to the duo. He sat down next to Chopper and began to tell more of his friends and what classes he has.
"Why is he being nice to me? I mean it's a good thing I guess, but it feels different. I guess that it can do," Chopper thought to himself.
"So Nami, ready to start our middle school years?" Luffy asked with his big infectious grin. Nami only looked at him with content and pulled out her schedule. "Well seeing that we're sharing 4 classes together, including the same lunch, I'd say yeah. Plus someone needs to help you with Mr. Izo, Nojiko told me that he's pretty strict with history. Especially if it has to do with Japan,"
Luffy only looked at her and tilted his head to the side in confusion. "I swear you must be made of rubber otherwise that would hurt," Nami thought to herself with a look of concern. "But Nami, why would I worry? I've got you and everyone else to help and I can help you with gym, Ace told me that Rayleigh is also strict since he used to be a pankration fighter,"
I know it's been a long ass time since I uploaded on here so I figured I'd give all of ya'll a short chapter to get acquainted with the cast once again and how they are in this AU
