Clark blinked the sun out of his eyes. Where was he? He slowly sat up in bed, the room slowly coming back into focus. He was in the Watchtower. That much was certain, but judging from the swords decorating the wall, this was not his room. He moved to exit the bed, but was he naked? He slowly lifted the sheet and looked. Yep, definitely naked. What happened last night? "Mmm," a soft feminine moan making Clark realize he was not alone in the bed. He slowly turned his head to get a look at his companion. "Ahh!" he released a high-pitched squeal as he flew/fell off the side of the bed, holding the sheet to his body, completely shocked at the bed's occupant. He hit the hard floor with a thud, denting it in the process. "Kal?" the soft voice asked in confusion. Clark shot to his feet in a second, covering his nudeness with the sheet. "Diana!" he screeched, causing a small smirk to alight her features. Clark blushed realizing he was staring at a very, very naked Diana. Her black hair was unkempt, she was resting on her elbows, a mischievous look in her blue eyes. "You're staring, boy scout," she said, completely relaxed in her birthday suit. Clark released another high-pitched squeal as he threw the sheet back at Diana, hitting her square in the face. "Thanks," she said with another grin. "But now, I am staring at you," she said. Clark quickly and nervously looked around for something, anything to cover his nakedness. His cape was thrown across a chair in the corner. He made to go for it, but he tripped over his boot. Once again, denting the floor with his face. "Kal?" he heard Wonder Woman ask with a little worry, a little humor in his voice. "I'm good," he jumped back to his feet, flying to the chair, tying his cape around his waist. He turned back to look at Diana. "Bruce is right," she said with a smile. "The clumsiness really is not an act," she said with another endearing smile. Clark scratched the back of his head nervously. "What happened?" he asked.
"You don't remember?" Diana asked, cocking her head to the side. "The bathroom," she said slowly crawling to him, "the conference room." Clark fought the haze in his brain, thinking back to the hours before. He had been training. Diana walked invited him to have drinks in the kitchen. She brought some wine from Themyscira. They talked. They laughed. They kissed. They…they…they… "Oh my Zeus," Clark muttered, repeating the idiom he had heard Diana use many times. Diana smiled as realization dawned on Clark's face. "Don't you mean Rao?" she asked playfully. "I believe we had what Earthlings call a 'one-night stand'."
"Something like that," Clark said mentally berating himself.
"But I feel no shame," Diana said, slowly standing to her feet, not covering her nakedness. "It was fun. I enjoyed myself. Did you?" she asked hopefully, taking a few steps towards a bumbling Clark.
"Well," he said, trying not to look at the gorgeous Amazon in front of him. "I…I did." His memory was slowly starting to repair itself. He had enjoyed himself. He had been extremely nervous. But Diana had been so…willing. "Good," she looked relieved. "I know I can come off as a little…forward…but it was not my desire to make you uncomfortable."
"Diana, you could never make me uncomfortable," Clark said reassuringly.
"But you seem uncomfortable now."
"Well that's not because of you. It's just…I'm not used to this. It's a first for me."
"This is my first time having a one-night stand as well," Diana said, not quite understanding.
"No, I don't mean that," Clark said with a nervous chuckle. "I mean…sex." The look of horror on Diana's face was shocking and a little disheartening. "Oh Kal," Diana said, rushing back to the bed, wrapping herself in the forgotten sheet. "I did not know," her eyes were wide and she looked horrified. "If I had known, I would not have come on so strong, and-"
"Diana," Clark rushed to her, cupping her cheeks in her hands, stopping her. "It's okay. You didn't know."
"Kal, losing one's virginity is a moment that should be celebrated."
"You suggest we rent a nice hotel?" Clark looked at her in amusement.
"No, but we could have gone to the Hanging Gardens on Znorag and copulate under the constellations of-" Clark silenced her with a soft, tender kiss. "It was fine," he said. "I mean, I don't remember everything we did, but I don know for a fact that I enjoyed it immensely. And if you would be open to it, I would actually like to take you on a date."
"I would love that," Diana said, draping her arms over Clark's shoulder as he rested his forehead against hers. "I would love that a lot," she gently placed her lips on Clark's. Clark angled his head to deepen the kiss as his hands fell to her waist. They slowly started making their way back to the bed when a knock caused them break apart abruptly. They both stared at the door unsure of what to do as the knocking continued. "It's Bruce," the bored voice at the other side of the door said. Wonder Woman quickly made sure she was covered modestly-ish as Clark walked to the door and opened it. Bruce stepped into the room wearing his uniform minus the cowl looking incredibly annoyed. "Um…hi?" Clark said uncomfortably. Bruce ignored him. "I had an eight-hour meeting yesterday with a bunch of Wall Street wannabes; I took care of Robin who had a horrific case of the stomach flu – "
"Why? Where's Alfred?'
"I sent him and his family on vacation to the Caribbean's. It's his niece's 12th birthday. Bane, decided to rob the Gotham treasury. By the time he was placed back behind bars, it was 4 a.m. I returned home to Robin was still throwing up, mind you. By the time he stopped, it was 8 a.m. My eyes had closed for 30 seconds when Flash came running into my manor unannounced complaining about the noise." Diana and Clark looked at each other quizzically before turning back to Bruce questioningly. "I figured you two would have forgotten that Flash was also on monitor duty last night."
"But we didn't see him," Diana said in horror.
"He had to work late, wrapping up a case in Central City. Also, Gorilla Grodd broke out of whatever second rate containment system they have going on over there. He arrived here at 3 a.m. where he cowered in the cafetaria underneath a table with noise cancelling earbuds in, but they did nothing to silence the grunts and moans and groans and screams of passion." As he continued speaking, Clark and Diana's faces became paler and paler with each passing second.
"Where is he now?" Diana asked in concern.
"At the manor, taking care of Robin, washing out his ears. Last I checked, he was curled up next to Robin in bed, sobbing and clutching his ears while rocking back-and-forth."
"Bruce," Clark began, "we didn't mean to-"
"You two could have brought the entire Watchtower down."
"Don't be ridiculous-"
"Have you seen the conference room. It looks like a nuke went off in there!" Bruce chastised the two. "Look," Bruce said rubbing his face in exhaustion. "I understand that sometimes you need to let off a little steam and release some pent-up frustration, but you two are not like everyone else. You have to be careful." Both superheroes looked down at the floor in embarrassment. "Next time, go to Themyscira or the Fortress of Solitude. Now, I'm going to go do damage control." Bruce placed his cowl on before walking towards the door. Before he exited the room, he turned to face the new couple. "Congratulations on finally losing it, Clark." He then slammed the door behind him. Diana put her hands up to cover a giggle while Clark's face turned beet red. "How did he –" Clark shook his head as he began to dress. Diana began to do the same. "So, how about tonight I cook for you?" Clark asked slowly.
"At your apartment?"
"I was thinking, the Fortress of Solitude," he said with a gleam in his eyes.
"I can't wait," Diana said, giving him a seductive smirk. Clark just chuckled before turning to leave the room. He froze when he got to the door. He and Flash were supposed to do brunch today. It was going to be so awkward. So very, very awkward.
