Hello! This is my first time ever writing fan fiction so I would love feedback on how I can improve! I did remake this chapter because the last one I made was a dumsterfire I made at 3:AM

I only recently got into fan-fiction reading/writing so I am still very unfamiliar with it all. If you could give me advice and criticism on that it would be very much appreciated!

DISCLAIMER: I do not own Naruto or any of the characters in Naruto. I only own any OC's I made.

The warm sun shined through the window of the classroom, eliminating the seats and desks that stood by it. As the calming sound of the trees rustling in the wind, and birds chirping rang in the background. The warm sun hitting the backs of children in the classroom talking and laughing. Class had not yet started so the children that were already in the classroom were talking amongst themselves, most seemed to be happily laughing well others seemed to talk with a more serious and upseat tone.

"Alright, time to start class!" A cheery toned Iruka sensei said, clapping his hands once. He looked around at the class where most of the students stopped what they were doing and looked up at him, well the others continued to talk, ignoring him. Iruka sighed as he went to the front of the classroom. He looked at the students who were still talking to each other.

"I said it's time to start class-" Iruka sensei said with an annoyed tone of voice, but still trying to remain calm. "That means you stop talking and go to your seats!" He continued with a more loud voice than before. The students stopped chatting and headed back to their seats, they still eyed each other though. The now silent class looked at Iruka who seemed to be calmer now that they had listened to him. He took out a pen from his pocket and looked at the light brown clipboard in his hands, it had a paper on it that was assumed to be the attendance list.

"Ok, I will start attendance now, Kiba?" He said looking away from the paper. He looked around and spotted the boy, as he held up his hand and shouted "here!" Iruka nodded then glanced at the sheet of paper again, "Shikamaru?" He asked, Shikamaru responded with the same answer as Kiba, Iruka did this until he looked at the sheet and sighed before calling out the name written on it, he knew that he was not here, like always. "Naruto?" He asked and before he went to the next person a young, yellow-haired boy sprinted into class.

"I'M HERE!" Naruto said in an exasperated voice. He held the door panting and looking at the not so shocked Iruka. He wasn't exactly 'on time' but he was pretty close. This was what happened a lot so the class was not very surprised at his sudden burst into the room, infact, they expected it. Naruto glanced at the students that were staring at him, which was most everyone. Including a certain Indigo-haired girl whose face turned into a small smile when seeing the boy run into class

"Naruto… sit down." Iruka sensei said in a tired voice. The class bursted into laughter, stopping after Iruka hushed them. Iruka watched as the boy walked over to a seat in the middle of the room. The seat was by a green-eyed girl who was staring at a raven-haired boy that sat to the left of her. The girl in question did not pay any attention to Naruto. Iruka sighed before he started to give instructions.

"Anyway, today we will all be getting into pairs-" Iruka started to say, seeing kids eyeing people they want to pair up with. Although a handful of kids didn't eye anybody and just continued to look at Iruka. Many girls in the class started at the raven-haired boy who was looking at the front of the classroom. He didn't seem to want to partner up with anybody. Even if he was cold all the girls still seemed to like him.

A few seconds later, the children started to whisper to each other about being partners. Iruka coughed loudly, shutting up the chatter. "As I was saying, for this assignment you all will need a partner. What will happen is you will be showing each other all the hand signs we learned in class. In order, and from memory." He continued hearing almost the whole class sigh. "You will do this until I call you all back to class, and before you all ask me, yes, you can work out in the training room and hall." He finished seeing most everyone stand up immediately, they all rushed to the people they were eyeing before. The previously silent class was now roaring with chatter.

"He is going to be my partner!" Yelled a pink-haired girl abruptly. "Oh don't flatter yourself, he would never want to be partners with you." The other girl retorted angrily. They both glared at one another grabbing each other's shirts. Everyone knew exactly what they were fighting over, moreover, who they were fighting over. Sasuke Uchiha, the top student of the class. He never seemed to take interest in any of the many girls that want him. He always had this mistic about him, that may be why some girls liked him.

"That's enough!" Iruka suddenly blurted out in front of the two girls. They let go of one and others shirts, looking at the teacher with shocked expressions. "You two, as punishment for not following the rules, will have to pair up!" He said with a serious tone. The two looked at him with upset faces, instead of being with the one they fought over, they had to pair up. Why did this always have to happen?

After a few minutes almost everyone was in pairs, all the people who were not paired up went to the front of the class as Iruka had instructed. They all waited to see who they had to be with.

"Ok, Yuki you can be partners with Yui, Sanki you pair up with Ryu and Lin to make a group of three." Iruka said, pointing at the people he was talking about. He looked to see who was left and saw Naruto, which he expected, and a shy girl standing in front of him, both had no partner. He grinned and pushed the two close together, only a couple of centimeters though.

"Naruto and Hinata! You two are partners!" Iruka exclaimed happily. This made the girl's face turn bright red, not only had she been pushed close to Naruto, but also they were paired up together. She wanted to ask him herself but never got the courage to do so. She felt light headed as she stared into the boys light blue eyes. The boy in question looked at her with a puzzled expression. 'Why does she keep staring at me like that?' He thought, staring at her. Hinata retreated her head into her grey hoodie because of her embarrassment.

Naruto looked around him at all the students already starting, even Iruka had left them to help other students. Without a second thought he started to grab the girl's hand but then Naruto then had an unpleasant thought cross his mind. 'Is she scared of me?' This thought plagued his mind, as he put his hand back to his side looking to the ground. He didn't usually think of thoughts like this but for some reason they always cross his mind at the worst times.

Hinata took notice of his actions and took some time to think. After she built up her courage she stood up tall, removing her head from her hoodie, and grabbed the boy's hand. The boy looked up at her with a puzzled and shocked expression. What on earth was she doing? Hinata then started to run out of the classroom, still holding Naruto's hand. All the kids who were before 'peacefully' doing their work where now jaw dropped looking at the two as they ran out of the classroom. They all were shocked seeing the shyest girl in the academy grab that boy's hand! The boy who they would never want to touch him. Even after the two were long gone the children stared at the door as if the first Hokage was standing there.

The most shocked of everyone was the yellow-haired boy that was being pulled. He didn't know why she would want to pull him. She was always so quiet so he hardly noticed her. Why was she even doing this? 'I don't know why she is doing this but… her hand is so warm, I feel safe like this' He thought watching the Indigo-haired girl pull him to who knows where. He watched as everything else around him turned blurry as he was only looking at the girls back. He felt surprised, happy, and curios all at the same time. He also felt something else he couldn't put his finger on. It was as if this had happened once before.

Not much later they reached the training room. There were kids in there doing what they were supposed to when they stopped seeing the two run from the hallway to the room they were in. They are confused not knowing what had happened in the classroom. So they had the same reaction of What is going on? That most of the academy children knew about it now. They all watched as the painting girl let go of the blue-eyed boy's hand looking up at him with a blushed face. She couldn't believe what she had done, she didn't even know she had the courage to do it. She looked up at Naruto red faced.

"I-I-I am so sorry I did that with your permission and you probably didn't like it and I still did it anyway-" She began to say faster than she should have. The rest of her words were slurred and too hard to understand. She looked down at the smooth wood floor as her fingers pressed against each other in a repetitive motion. As she continued to apologize to him. She looked up at him and his shocked expression turned into a wide grin as his posture loosened, and his hands going behind his head.

"No need to beat yourself up, you didn't do anything wrong." Naruto said, chuckling at the girls actions. He looked around at all the kids already finishing the first round of the assignment. "Well anyway, we should probably get started it seems that people have already started." Naruto said, sitting on the wood floor of the training room. He looked at Hinata waiting for her to sit as well. She smiled sitting in front of the boy.

"Do you know what we start with?" Hinata asked. She knew that he didn't pay much attention to the lessons Iruka thought so she assumed he might not know. He nodded and chuckled nervously. She smiled and started to move her hands in a way where three fingers stood straight up, pressed together and the rest of the fingers bent down intertwining. "We start with the bird." She sheepishly said moving her hands towards Naruto so he could see better. He nodded and showed her the same hand sign.

Naruto wasn't surprised to see that she knew what was first, unlike him she actually paid attention to the lessons that Iruka had taught the class. She never really talked so he assumed she was just a diligent student who listens rather than talk. "You are so smart Hinata!" He said grinning. Hinata smiled at him sweetly. She wondered why no one wanted to be paired up with him. He always seemed to be such a funny and uplifting person, even when most of the people in the village hated him. When they hardly even try to get to know who he is. How could he live like that all by himself with no one to help him and yet, he always remains so lively and cheerful. She just wished people would try to get to know the real him, the real Naruto. It made her feel so hurt to see him suffer like this. 'I want him to feel wanted, even if only a little.' Hinata thought as she stared into Naruto's light blue eyes. The way his eyes shone in the light of the classroom was so beautiful, it made her want to keep watching them.

The boy looked at her with a puzzled expression. She had been staring at him for a while. 'Why does she keep staring at me? Is there some food on my face?' The yellow haired boy thought, wiping his cheeks with the sleeve of his orange jacket. The jacket in question looked surprisingly clean for someone who had been living all alone. Infact, Naruto keept himself surprisingly clean. Though, his apartment can't be said to be the same. If you were to go into his apartment you would see expired milk out and empty ramen noodle cups everywhere, from the table to the ground. I mean he was only a kid, and he lived by himself.

Hinata snapping out of her thinking state looked at Naruto, her cheeks started to turn bright red as she realized she had been staring at him for a while. She started to stutter as her face grew redder and redder. She hid herself in her hands after she stopped stuttering. The blue-eyed boy grinned at her laughing slightly. She moved her hands so that she could see the boys smile.

"Let's finish now! What sign is next?" The boy asked, looking at her hidden face, a wide grin spread on his. Hinata let her hands leave her face as she smiled as well. She slowly moved her hands downwards clenching them into a fist shape that was more loose than a fist would usually be. She then put the two 'fists' together. She moved them forward, closer to Naruto so he could see better. She looked up to Naruto and smiled slightly.

"Next is the boar."

They continued this until the bell ran and Iruka called everyone to the classroom.

To be continued...
