Author's Note

Yo, it's Zeryas. If this story looks familiar, it's because the idea came from one of my friends ScarlettAbsol. She originally had a Total Pokemon Island story with this same premise. Unfortunately, she got busy with a bunch of stuff and never got around to even finishing the first chapter. The idea interested me and I've always been interested in these types of stories, plus this quarantine business has me cooped up with nothing to do. This being my first story, it might be a little shitty so I hope yall can understand lmao.

Also, a disclaimer! I do not own Pokemon or Total Drama Island!

Anyways without further ado, let's get right into the show!

Blue. For miles, that's all there is. The sky produces a dull grayish-blue while the water of the ocean below it is a deep, dark blue. Ahead in the distance, lay quite a thick fog. A fog so thick, you wouldn't be able to see about 10 feet in front of you. The fog had a light tinge of blue to it, a rather odd color for something like fog. This fog surrounds an island, mysterious in its own right. Giant, lush trees of green covered most of the island floor. Caves and crevices were scattered throughout the island. The main feature of it, a giant cove on the side of the island caused by a crater from long ago. Here in this cove, lay a dock and two pokemon. One of those pokemon appeared to be a tall, purple and slimy looking animal, the other an angry-looking panda-like pokemon with a small twig in his mouth.

"Hello to all of you viewers out there! My name is Goodra and this is my co-host, Pangoro! Welcome to Total Pokemon Island Mystery Dungeons!" The purple pokemon said proudly.

Pangoro beside her grunted in an annoyed fashion, his arms crossed as he rolled his eyes.

"Please ignore my edgy and grumpy co-host while I happily explain to you what you happy folks are getting yourselves into." Goodra giggles in an almost sinister fashion. "TPI: Mystery Dungeon finds 22 contestants battling it out for a chance to win 1 million Poke! They will have to use their strength, their wits, and their charisma to get through to the end of this show!" The dragon-type nudges Pangoro to say something. He'd groan and look at the camera.

"The twist to this iteration of Total Pokemon Island is that many of the challenges will be based around the several dungeons we have on the island. Contestants don't need to be Pokemon Explorers, but any experience will give them somewhat of an edge in those challenges-" Pangoro's voice is deep and gruff, his tone was the complete opposite of his co-host.

"But any inexperienced pokemon will surely lead to funnier and more embarrassing moments." Goodra mumbled, chuckling to herself in the process. She noticed the camera still running and went back to her bubbly aesthetic. Her co-host coughed, looking at her in an annoyed fashion due to interrupting him. "As I was saying... Any experience will give you an edge in the competition. If you're worried about your well-being here, you should be... Heheheh-" The purple dragon placed her hands onto the Panda's mouth, silencing him frantically. "What my dear co-host meant to say is that you should be completely safe around these parts, as our completely competent team of Pokemon Explorers will ensure that the dungeon-related challenges will be safe... Relatively." She turned away from the camera and said to herself "That's why we have all those waivers teehee-" Pangoro popped a vein in his head as he grabbed the goodra by the arm and pushed her over and out of the shot.

"INTERRUPT ME ONE MORE TIME GOODRA, SEE WHAT HAPPENS."

Goodra got up and put her hands up in a surrendering fashion. "Ok! Ok! My bad~" She said playfully. Both pokemon then looked back towards the camera.

"Remember to apply quickly! Only a limited number of applicants will be accepted! Also, be sure to have some personality, we'd hate to have a boring show now, hm~?" Goodra winked playfully as Pangoro sighed.

"You do know some people can't help having their personalities, right Goodra?"

Goodra ignored Pangoro's comment and continued. "I look forward to seeing all you contestants!" The camera would pan out as Goodra waved bye and Pangoro crossed his arms idly.

Keep in mind just because you may submit your character faster than someone else, I may still reject it due to unoriginal/Mary-sue qualities and such.
