This is as short and crappy mess, I know. Hope you like it anyways, please leave a review!

"Betsey! I'm home, Love!" I announced after closing the door behind me. I looked around the parlor in search of my wife and baby son.

"We're in the kitchen- Philip!" Eliza laughed heartily and Philip giggled. I heard a tin bowl clatter to the ground and harder laughter. "Philip, no!"

I grinned at their shenanigans and went to join them in our kitchen. Eliza's hair was a mess and her and Philip were both covered in flour as she bounced him on her hip. But, they were both smiling and laughing with rosy cheeks. The bowl that had fallen had had flour in it.

"Hi, Alexander," Eliza giggled. "Our son's been a bit of a troublemaker lately."

I trudged through the flour to them, laughing as well. I kissed Philip's cheek loudly and then turned to Eliza. I wrapped my arm around her and kissed her belly before her.

"I love you, Betsey," I whispered in her ear.

"I love you too- Philip!" Philip had tipped over the thankfully empty pitcher of water. "You can't keep doing that, sweetie!"

Philip looked sad and buried in his mother. "I'm sorry, Mama!"

"Aw, it's okay! Just calm down!" She rubbed his back and kissed the top of his head. "Let's get you cleaned up, okay? Dinner can wait."

"I'll clean up for you," I offered.

"No, you have work. I can do it later."

"You need your rest, Hon'. Take care of you two and then take a nap or something. I'll clean up. With the baby coming and all..."

"Alright." She tickled Philip. "Come on little baby, you need a bath!"

I kissed Eliza and Philip's cheeks before they went upstairs.
