"Hey Elisha! You remember Mark? we were classmates during middle school." One of my classmates, Cath, asked. Of couse I know Mark we were friends since he moved from Toronto to Vancouver. His family moved to the house accross ours, we were so young back then.
"Yeah,why?" We were so close but he suddenly left the country without giving the reason why.
"Dude you better watch this, it's Mark right?" She showed me a music video. At first I can't keep up due to fast change from one guy to another and because of the effects. Then my attention was caught by one guy, he was inside a white tiled corner or something. I have to squint my eyes, and wait for him to reappear for me to be sure that he's the Mark that I know.
"I'm correct right that guys is Mark, o please Eli confirm it" Cath whined beside me while nudging my arms.
"Y...yes" I stuttered "yeah that's him" doubting my own eyes. How can he be in a music video?
"Oh my God! I can't believe he's a Kpop idol now! Not to mention he's under SM" Cath exclaimed, she has always been a hard core SM stan.
"Where did you get this? When did they released this video?" I asked, still rejecting the fact that Mark who disappered for four years is now a Korean artist.
"Well there have always been a rumor about SM debuting a new boy group, this was released a week ago. They're called NCT U by the way" she explained.
"I still cant believe Mark is now a KPOP idol" she said while fanning herself. "Wait, were you aware that he knows how to rap?"
"I..." i was about to answer but the bell rang, we have no choice but to continue this conversation later as we hurriedly go to our seats.
I guess now I know why he left.
