-After being threatened by the landlord for breaking promises to pay rent, a man, David, comes back to his quiet apartment after losing his job as a stand up comedian. He starts to packing up boxes in his room, while he does he looks at a photo of his old family and his great grandmother's broken watch (rumored throughout his family's generation to be "magical") that he promised to fix for his sibling, Daniela. At this pivotal moment, thinking about his sister, he worries about her occupation while she's out and about, only adding curiosity on Daniela's whereabouts but David downplays his suspicions.

#2:

-After Daniela dont answer David's phone calls, he then prepares to take a walk outside to clear his mind. Soon as he leaves, he finds Daniela laid out on the ground while bleeding, has been beaten in a brutal attack and an angered upset David carries her inside in a frantic rush. Respecting Daniela's wishes of not calling the police, David puts her in the car while he starts to car so they can go to the hospital. The car pulls out the parking lot, then hits the road, when David sets destination on their way to arrive there. David ask questions that Daniela ignores repeatedly as she says "it doesn't matter".

#3:

-While still driving on the road, David pulls out the watch he promised to fix for Daniela and says he should spend more time with her as a family bond since they're the only two members left. Daniela unloads her frustration out on David which leaves him heartbroke but also understanding of who she is. Before David can say any words, the car brakes become defective and jams, with the car swerving off road into a now damaged, electrical powerbox. Daniela's bloody body has revealed to be throwed out of the window from the impact, with a scraped David rushing out of his seat to go check on her.

#4:

-However, the car explodes with David still inside with his great grandmothers watch that sparks as the impact tears David's body apart. In the past: it's revealed that Daniela was actually David's brother, "Daniel". Both Daniel and David suffered from their past traumatic experiences: death of their mother (caused the "Daniela" persona), their father being a dead junkie, and their closest friends being lost or forgotten in the midst of the situations that plague them. Daniel and David suppresses his pain while they are homeless until David luckily lands himself a job at a fast food restaurant to get on their feet.

#5:

-Now. in the future: David magically reassembles himself with the watch in his hand inside the now vacant apartment that's been evicted. Unaware the landlord is outside the door (doing cleaning), David learns of the ability from the watch that allow him to do chronokinesis and surprised he's still alive. While David reminisce his last moments in his old apartment, he searches around to uncover a box of photos from the happier times with Daniel/Daniela. The watch begins to synch into time again causing David to disappear and the landlord rushing in to see him vanish right in front of his eyes in fright.

#6:

-In the present: the magical watch lets David see how the downward spiral of Daniela's fate towards drugs, prostitution, and violence started due to his own oblivous nature of Daniela's self destructive ways, allowing him to become an enabler through the trauma and grief she faced. David accepts the truth and reminisces at the photo of Daniela as the watch synch in time again. Now, David wakes up to where the most traumatic experience happened: Daniela's attack. David sees Danielas attackers coming towards and tries to stop them. However, the watch flickers to synch him out of time again.

#7:

-David synch into another pivotal point where he's arguing with Daniela about the misuse of the rent money and where it's coming from. David realizes this is what lead to the relationship between him and Daniela to shift, causing Daniela to going in a deep depression. After leaving David's apartment, Daniela gets attacked visciously by her pimp who infected him with a transmitted disease shortly afterwards. Later, Daniela cries alone in the alley by herself, which David feels guilty about and he then realizes in a uncovered theory that time changes everything, except for how Daniela feels within.

#8:

-It's revealed that Daniela has a fascination with owls (since their mother gifted her with). Daniela tells David, who is clearly frustrated with how his life has been, to buy a gift for her but David gets upset and tells Daniela no. Another argument gets started between them, in which Daniela leaves in anger and David having regret once again, driving a wedge between each other as family. Witnessing this, David tries to see into the future by tweaking with the watch as he sees into the future. Into the future, he sees a hospital bed but this only causes his vision to black since it cannot go beyond time.

#9:

-Somehow David is able to go in the past back to where it all started: His mother's gift to Daniel, the magical watch. Their mother tells Daniel the story of "asynchronous" (which is the story behind the watch), where the person experiences things all at the same time through the past, present, and future as it coexist. Daniel reluctantly takes the watch and tells the story to David, who doesn't believe the story. David shocked, drops the photo, during the same time he experiences the relived death of his mother when he dies minutes later. Later, David expresses how he wants to fix things better now.

#10:

-David finds out the time synchs are from Danielas most impacted moments when it synchs again. In the past: Daniela gets turned down from jobs she applied for. On the way back, she gets harrassed and stalked by thugs including a pimp threatening her. Annoyed and infuriated with being bullied by strangers in public, David tries to say he was sorry for their arguments but Daniela curses him out and storms up stairs to trash her room as well breaking the watch she was given from their now deceased mother, as she cries on the floor, filled with regret. David feels guilty about not being there for Daniela.

#11:

-In the future, its revealed that Davids body is still there in the fields where their car crash happened except he's levitating through time because he's experiencing the past and future through his own current timeline all in the same time in the present. David wakes from his trance, to see the car is not on fire and a pool of blood leading to a trail that fades to nowhere. The watch eventually gives out and puts David through physical and astral travels until he remains in physical form after it stops. David, left without a scratch, decide to go on his search for Daniela by walking down the dark road.

#12:

-With help, David finds the hospital that he saw in the future (in part #8) is where Daniela was taken to, however when he arrives he's told she left the hospital days ago with a letter to him (as it reveals Daniela didn't want to be found) which David soon accepts the decision before he looks at his watch. Years later, Daniela starts a family after being in a group home and getting her degree. Daniela gets a box left by her door, she opens up. It's a message from David, who admits in the letter he's proud of who and what Daniela became, with the repaired watch inside which Daniela smiles at Davids letter.

#End:

-Daniela adopts a kid and names him David with her new husband, who loves her deeply despite everything she's been through while looking at a happier photo of herself, her mother, and David. Now, David starts a new life by moving outside of town and decides to get a job as a watchmaker.
