1-Maiden of the White Crypt
(Before I get into the creation of this story, I wanted to let everyone know that NONE of the visual reference art belongs to me. Credit goes to the original artists. Also, absolutely no self inserts of any kind in this story. Also, it's called Final Fantasy 17 because I am fairly certain that 16 will come out before this story is finished.) This is a story I've been working on for quite some time now. I know that this story doesn't have a very good chance of being popular because the fanfiction community tends to gravitate towards already existing properties as well as crossovers between already existing properties. Since mine is completely from my own head with minor exceptions here and there; it is very likely that this will get little to no views. I won't let that get me down though, because if just one person tells me that they like the story then I have a reason to keep on writing, so hopefully that will be the case. Wish me luck. Also, just a bit of a side note. The world is called Zahllem and it is flat. (The flat earthers will be happy) The name is based heavily on the name of a city in the Alita manga series called Zalem.
Introduction
It is a bright summers day; we see a graveyard surrounded by forest on all sides. In the middle of this graveyard is a beautiful white crypt that reflects the sunlight in the most beautiful way. Everything is quiet as the summer breeze gently carries lonely leaves across the ground. Suddenly, the white crypt begins to glow in a bright white light. The light further illuminates the graveyard around it. The light continues to grow in intensity. Suddenly, the light stops growing and engulfs the entire crypt as it shoots skyward into a glorious white beacon.
Location-Menka Village
The beacon of light is seen by the entire village from a mile away, we see a young man with light brown hair and a sword slung over his back. He wears a dark blue battle tunic and dark grey pants complete with boots. The man looked on in wonder with the rest of the villagers as he witnessed the bright pillar from far away. After a while, the light subsides.
Shiv: "What the hell was that!?..." [He thought.]
A man with a blonde beard and shoulder length blonde hair ran up next to Shiv.
Cid: "Shiv...! Hey, Shiv…! You saw that too, right? Or am I just seein things?"
Shiv: "No, I saw it too, a white beacon of light." [He said as he kept his eyes locked on where the light once was.]
Shiv: "Looks like it came from the Menka Graveyard."
He looked back at Cid
Shiv: "I'm gonna need to borrow one of your chocobos."
Back at the Menka village graveyard everything turned quiet once again. We see the white crypt again, but this time the double doors slowly creek open and we see a strange figure slowly walk out. We see a young adult female with snow white shoulder length hair and a paper white dress of some sort. She had the most beautiful pair of aquamarine eyes that looked as if they were being illuminated from the inside. She began to look at her surroundings with a very innocent and confused look about her.
?: "Where…where am I?" [she wondered]
The girl looked around her and took notice of the graveyard she was currently standing in.
?: "Was I…dead?"
The maiden began to search her mind for any shred of memory that would help her understand where she was and what was going on, but she found nothing. She couldn't remember how she ended up here or even who she was.
?: "Why can't I remember anything?" [she thought]
After a few minutes of mentally straining herself to locate her lost memories, she concluded that it was useless. She then fixed her attention to the distant horizon and noticed a colossal, huge tower about half a world away. But more impressive than anything else was her realization of how tall the tower was. She followed the tower from its base with her eyes and looked up slightly to locate the top of the mysterious tower, but no matter how hard she tried she couldn't see where the top was. As she continued to look at the tower, she began to feel a strange sense of familiarity with the giant structure. Almost like it was connected to her in some way, but at that moment she could not comprehend how it possibly could be. As she began to think harder on this her train of thought was interrupted by the sound of footsteps.
Shiv: "Hey! Are you alright!?"
The girl turned around in surprise, not knowing if the man held ill intentions or not.
?: "I…don't know."
Shiv tilted his head in confusion at what he had just heard.
Shiv: "You…don't know?"
He wondered what she meant by that. For now, he decided to shrug off the strange response. He knew that staying out in the open like this for too long wasn't safe. So, he needed to figure out what this girls deal was and get back as soon as possible
Shiv: "You know you shouldn't be out here in the open like this without a weapon. One of those things could easily get you if they wanted to."
The girl looked puzzled
?: Things…?
Shiv studied the girl from a distance; she looked completely out of it in every way. Not only that, but she looked confused and scared more than anything else. He looked passed her and noticed the open Crypt.
Shiv: "Did you come out of that crypt?"
Immediately after asking the question Shiv noticed the girls balance beginning to fail her as she was on the verge of passing out.
Shiv: "Woah, hey!" [he said as he ran over and caught her just in time]
After a few seconds the girl's eyes began to slowly flutter open again.
?: "I can't… remember anything" [ she said innocent and scared expression]
Shiv felt a bit of pity for the girl. When he got here and saw her his first priority was to find out who she was and what she was doing in the Menka Village Graveyard, but he now realized that asking her would be pointless since she appeared to have amnesia. So, he decided the next best thing to do would be to give her some shelter and food for the time being. After coming to this conclusion in his mind, he slowly helped her to her feet and made sure she could stand again before taking his hands off her.
Shiv: "You're probably hungry, come on, I'll take you to the village."
Back at Menka Village, 30 minutes have passed since the beacon appeared. Cid is leaning against a wall with his arms folded, waiting for the return of Shiv and the Chocobo he borrowed from him. He had been watching the entrance to the village; waiting to see him walk in. Eventually he saw what he was looking for. Shiv entered the village atop his beloved Chocobo, but there was something else…something he wasn't expecting to see. It was a white maiden mounted on the Chocobo behind Shiv. They rode up to Cid. Shiv dismounted and helped the mystery girl down.
Cid: So, what's all this then? I let you borrow my Chocobo to check out a strange light and you come back with a young lady? [he said jokingly]
Shiv gave a light chuckle
Shiv: Of course, didn't you know that village graveyards are the place to find women nowadays? [he answered sarcastically]
The other villagers slowly began to take notice of the newcomer and one by one they came up to investigate. They slowly formed a crowd behind Cid as they examined the girl from over the Chocobo warrior's shoulder. No one had ever seen a girl with snow white hair before.
Cid: "So, who is this lovely young lady? I think I speak form everyone when I say I've never seen anyone with such white attire."
Shiv looked back at the girl. He knew she had amnesia, but he was curious to know if her name was one of the few things, she would be able to remember.
?: "I…don't know."
Cid and all the villagers behind him gave a puzzled look at this response. Cid was about to ask a question along the lines of, "how do you forget your own name?" But Shiv managed to get a three-word explanation out before the blonde could ask.
Shiv: "She's got amnesia."
Villagers & Cid: "Ohhh…" [they said in unison]
The girl gave a look that almost made it seem like she felt guilt for not remembering anything, which Cid noticed.
Cid: "Hey, don't worry bout it kid! We all forget something every once in a while. It'll come back to ya." [He reassured her with a heartfelt thumbs up]
The girl gave a faint half smile in response. Shiv decided it was time to let everyone know why he brought her here in the first place
Shiv: "Well… anyway…I came here to give her some food and shelter, so I'm gonna go do that."
Cid nodded in agreement with the idea.
Cid: "Sounds like a good idea. No use in questioning her if she doesn't remember anything."
The Chocobo lover turned his attention back towards the girl with a friendly smile
Cid: "Well kid, feel free to look around the village if you ever want to. Our village is your village."
?: "Thank you." [she said with a light head bow]
Shiv looked at the girl and motioned towards a direction with his head
Shiv: "Come on, I'll take you to my place."
After both Shiv and the girl arrived at his house, the first thing Shiv did was treat her to as much food as she wanted. To his surprise however, she didn't need as much food as he thought she did. In fact, she was full after eating only a third of what he eats in an entire day! When night came, Shiv decided to let her sleep in his bed, while he slept on the floor. She refused once or twice, but after he insisted a third time she accepted. Shiv was the first to fall asleep. The girl was kept up by her thoughts. She wondered how she ended up in that graveyard and whether she had come back from the dead. None of it made any sense to her. All she wanted was to know what happened to her. After about thirty minutes of trying to remember anything at all about her life; the mental effort began to tire her, and she fell asleep.
Morning
The girl woke up the next morning to find Shiv still sound asleep on the ground. She began to think back on everything the warrior had done for her thus far. She remembered how he brought her to his village and made her feel welcome. She Also remembered how he let her stay at his house and eat his food. And on top of all that he insisted that she sleep in his bed. The boy had been nothing but kind to her sense she met him. She felt it was only fair that she repay him in some way. That's when she had an idea.
Shiv woke up an hour later to find his bed empty. This was to be expected though, sense he usually isn't the type of person to wake up early. After stretching his arms, he made his way into the main room of his house where he expected to see the girl. But to his surprise, the room was empty. He then left his house and began to walk around the village looking for her. Shiv felt like she was probably taking Cid up on his suggestion to explore the village. After searching for 10 minutes with no success he decided to go and ask Cid.
Cid was currently hammering together some battle armor for his Chocobos.
Shiv: "Hey Cid!" [ he called out while walking towards him] "You see the girl at all today?"
Cid: "Nope… can't say that I have kiddo."
Shiv crossed his arms and started to think on where she could have gone.
Cid: "Wait a minute, don't tell be you lost her already." [he said with a joking smile] "How do ya manage to lose sight of someone that's as white as a fresh pile of snow."
Shiv: "It's not like that…she just woke up before I did, that's all."
Cid: "So, you looked all over the village then?"
Shiv: "Well, I've got a few more spots to check. I just figured I'd ask you since I was in the area, but if you haven't seen her…"
Cid: "Trust me kid…I may be a bit old, but my vision is still razor sharp. If she came this way, I would've seen her."
Shiv: "Well…keep your eyes peeled."
And with that, Shiv went to search the last two parts of the village he hadn't checked yet. The first place he went to check was the center of the village, with no luck. The last place to check was the village entrance. He talked to the people around that area and asked if they had seen her, but no one had. Shiv was about to go home and rethink his plan, but he stopped when he noticed a white figure coming through the village entrance with a basket of fruit. It was her. The girl noticed Shiv from a distance and walked towards him with a friendly smile.
Shiv couldn't believe what he was seeing.
Shiv: "What was she thinking!?" [He shouted in his head] "Going out there by herself without a weapon…it was suicide. Those things wouldn't hesitate to tear her apart."
The villagers who had seen her enter the village looked just as shocked as Shiv did.
The girl walked up to Shiv and handed him the basket. Shiv accepted the basket, but still gave her a look that seemed to ask, "Are you crazy!?" But the girl didn't seem to pick up on the meaning behind his expression, which was evident by her smile.
?: "You were so kind to me yesterday and I felt like I needed to repay you somehow, so I went into the forest and picked you some fruit."
Shiv didn't say anything. He just continued to look at her like she had lost her mind, which she finally picked up on after a moment of awkward silence.
?: "What's wrong?"
Shiv: "What's wrong? What's wrong? You go outside the village with no way to protect yourself and you ask what's wrong?"
?: "Protect myself…?" [she asked innocently] "Protect myself…. from what?"
Shiv was shocked by this response; he knew that she had amnesia, but he didn't know it was this bad. When he first brought her to his village he assumed that those things would be one of the very few things she would be sure to remember, but now that he was looking into her eyes he could tell that she was completely clueless to what he was talking about. If she was going to be staying in the village, she would need to know what he was talking about for her own safety.
Shiv: "Never mind right now, lets just put this stuff back in the house. I'll tell you there."
Back at the house.
The girl took a seat in the middle of the room, while Shiv took a chair and sat directly across from her. He sat in the chair in a way that seemed to suggest that this might to a while to explain. But the girl was ready and attentive. She really wanted to know what all of the fuss was about when it came to traveling outside the village.
Shiv folded his arms and looked up at the ceiling; wondering where the best place to begin would be.
Shiv: "Let's see, where to begin…
After 5 seconds, Shiv found an appropriate place to start in his story
Shiv: "I guess the first thing you should know is what exactly I'm referring to when I say the word…things"
He turned his head and looked out the window to the left of him in a way that looked as if he was remembering a terrible memory.
Shiv: "We call them Scaytha." [he said simply]
?: "Scaytha…? And these Scaytha are bad?"
Shiv: "More than bad, they are evil in every way. Its miracle that you never even came into contact with one the two times you were outside the village. You really are lucky to be alive"
The girl still looked puzzled.
?: "But I still do not quite understand; what exactly is a Scaytha?"
Shiv: "Monsters, evil beasts whose sole purpose is to kill anything that isn't already a Scaytha." [He couldn't help giving a somewhat angry look at even mentioning the word Scaytha. They had a huge impact on his life] "You see, it was about 1000 years ago when these things started showing up. No one knows why they started showing up; let alone where they were coming from, but when the came they spread like a wildfire across Zahllem.
?: "So, that's why people hardly leave the village? So, they do not get killed?"
Shiv nodded
Shiv: but there's more to it than that. Not only are we trying to protect others from dying, but we are also trying to protect ourselves from what we might turn into."
?: "What do you mean?"
Shiv: "Even if someone manages to survive an encounter with a Scaytha, if they were scratched or bitten then they will turn into one within a 24-hour window."
?: So, some of the Scaytha that are out there killing right now… were people once?"
Shiv: "Yes."
The girl was speechless as she realized that everything she had been doing was incredibly dangerous, not only to herself, but to the villagers as well. She still had a few questions though.
?: "You say these things are monsters, but what exactly do they look like?"
She wanted to know so she could keep herself from getting bitten and putting the other villagers in danger.
Shiv: "Some look the same, but others look different. Some look like grotesque wild dogs, others look like demonic flying raptors, and then there a some that look like beasts you could never imagine. But there are two unique characteristics that will help you recognize one if you see it. All of them have glowing yellow eyes, and all of them have the same distinct mark somewhere on their body. A mark that we call, "The Mark of the Scaytha."
?: "What does the mark look like?"
The warrior scratched the back of his head
Shiv: "Well, I don't actually have a visual reference for you right now, but when you see it, you'll know…trust me."
The girl couldn't believe the story she just heard. The fact that such an enemy existed in Zahllem was a terrifying truth to come to grips with. She now completely understood the surprised reactions from both Shiv and the villagers. She began to feel a bit of guilt for putting the village in danger like that, but then again, how could she have possibly known with the situation her mind was in.
?: "So, the world has been dealing with these things for 1000 years?"
The blue warrior gave a regretful nod.
?: "Is there nothing we can do to stop them."
Shiv: "Well, there might be one thing I can do." [ He said as he looked out his window towards the same distant tower the girl had been mesmerized by back in the graveyard.] "You see that tower way out in the distance?" [he said while pointing out the window.]
The girl joined him and followed his finger to the direction It was pointing.
?: "Oh…yes, I see it. that was the tower I saw back in the graveyard."
Shiv: "Well, the people of Zahllem call that tower, Spire. And there is an old legend that at the very top of the tower lies the knowledge of the universe. And if anyone can make it to the top, then they will find the answer to any possible question. My plan is to make it to the top of that tower and find the answer to a question the world has been asking for 1000 years."
The girl knew exactly what he was getting at.
?: "How to destroy the Scaytha." [She answered for him]
Shiv gave a nod of confirmation to her answer.
?: "But has anyone ever made it to the top?"
Shiv: "Only one person, but I will be the second."
?: "So, when are you going to go through with your plan?"
Unbeknownst to the her, Shiv was already in the process of leaving the day before, but he got distracted by the whole girl in the graveyard incident. Now that he had taken care of the girl and knew that she had a safe place to stay, he could leave to go on his quest.
Shiv: "Actually, I'll be leaving tomorrow."
The girl looked a bit saddened to hear this, she felt safe when he was around, and Shiv noticed the sad expression on her face.
Shiv: "But don't worry, I've already talked to Cid and he agreed to help you out in any way while I'm gone. I also told him that my house is yours until I get back."
The girl gave a half smile, she was flattered by the kind gesture, but inside she was afraid to see him go. He had been with her almost the entire time. And even though she didn't think of him in a romantic way she definitely admired for the charity he showed her. If he left, she would feel the complete opposite, but she knew it would be selfish to make him stay just so she could feel safe, so she decided instead to wish him luck.
?: "Well, Shiv… I know we hardly know each other. But I consider you a friend now. I hope you make it to the top of that tower; and I hope you make it back to your village safely."
The girls words put a smile on his face
Shiv: "I think of you as a friend too. And don't worry, I promise that I'll come back. You can count on me…. uh….
?: "What's wrong?"
Shiv: "Sorry, it's just…I keep forgetting you don't remember your name."
Suddenly, the warrior realized something.
Shiv: "Hey, I've got an idea. Why don't we give you a temporary name? You know…until you remember your real one?"
?: "Alright, what name do you have in mind?"
Shiv scratched the back of his head as he thought on this.
Shiv: "Well, I guess if we're gonna give you a name it needs to be something unique, yet uncommon."
The warrior continued to scratch the back of his head as he thought hard on this.
Shiv: "What is a good name for her…?" [ He asked himself.]
After 30 seconds, a light bulb went off in his head.
Shiv: "I've got it…Esther!"
The girl tilted her head in confusion at the sound of the name
Shiv: "You're right, it doesn't have a ring to it."
Shiv: "How about Lennoah?"
?: "Is that a name?" [She asked with genuine curiosity and with no intentions of being rude]
Shiv: "You're right, that one's bad too."
The warrior thought a bit longer on the next name
Shiv: "Strelayza…What about Strelayza?"
The girl gave a smile and nodded in agreement to his name suggestion.
Strelayza: "I think that's a wonderful name."
Shiv gave a smile upon hearing this; he was glad that she liked the new name. But the happy moment was interrupted by a faint knock at the door.
Shiv: "Who could that be?" [ He wondered aloud as he went over and opened the door with Strelayza following close behind.]
To his surprise, Shiv opened the door to see three small girls about 9 years in age. He had never had children come to his door before, so he was understandably confused by this encounter.
Small Girl #1: "Hi mister Shiv."
Shiv: "Uh…Hi."
Small Girl #2: "Can the pretty lady come out and play?"
Shiv looked at Strelayza, then back at the girls.
Shiv: "I guess so." [ He said as he looked back at Strelayza for confirmation.]
"What do you think Strelay…"
Before he could finish his sentence one of the girls grabbed Strelayza by the hand and drug her outside in a flash; the other two girls giggling as she did so.
Shiv: "Hey, wait a minute!" [ He called out]
But his call was drowned out by the sound of the little girls laughing. As Strelayza was being drug off Shiv noticed a smile appear on her face. She seemed not to mind this attention from the village children. Seeing Strelayza smile made Shiv smile as well. It was nice to see her happy and not fragile and uncertain like she was when he found her. Shiv crossed his arms and leaned against the front of his house; smiling as he watched the girls play with Strelayza from a distance. Cid walked up next to Shiv and joined him, crossing his arms as he too watched Strelayza from a distance.
Cid: "So, you plannin on tellin me bout her before ya leave tomorrow or what?"
For a split second, Shiv had no idea what his friend was talking about, but he soon came to the realization that he hadn't told anyone about what happened back at the graveyard. Not even his best friend.
Shiv: "Oh yeah... sorry Cid. I could've sworn I already told you, but I guess I'm remembering things wrong."
The two kept their eyes on Strelayza in the distance as they Shiv explained everything that happened thus far.
Shiv: "Well…After the light disappeared, I made my way to the village graveyard like I told you. When I got there, I saw…her…in the middle of the graveyard. She looked confused and scared. And to be honest, I would feel the same if I couldn't remember anything."
Cid cocked an eyebrow with visible confusion
Cid: "Hold on a second, you're saying you found that girl in the graveyard?" The heck was she doing in the graveyard? Did she get lost and end up there or what?"
The blue warrior shook his head.
Shiv: "Believe it or not, she came right out of a crypt in the middle of the graveyard."
Cid looked at his friend as if he'd gone mad.
Cid: "You can't be serious? Are you actually tellin me that girl came out of a god damn crypt?"
Shiv: "I know…crazy right?"
Cid: "Kid, I don't think ya realize what you're saying. The only reason she would've been in that crypt to begin with would be…"
Shiv: "If she were dead, I know." [ He finished for him]
Cid took a second to mentally process what he was hearing.
Cid: "So what… is she like a zombie or somethin?" [ He asked jokingly]
The blue warrior chuckled at this
Shiv: "If she is then she's the nicest zombie I've ever seen."
Shiv and Cid looked back over at Strelayza who was now sitting on the edge of the village fountain getting her hair braided.
Cid: "I knew when you came back with that girl that you were gonna have a weird story for me, but I wasn't expectin anything like this."
Shiv nodded in agreement
Shiv: "The situation is a head scratcher for sure."
For the next 5 minutes, Cid and Shiv continued to watch the girl from a distance as pondered on idea of whether or not the girl had actually died and come back to life somehow. The moment of silence was broken when Cid had an idea.
Cid: "You know, there is one way to know for sure if she actually did die."
Shiv looked over at his friend in surprise with an expression on his face that said, "tell me!"
Cid: "When a person dies in our village, we record the name and physical description of that person. And the person who keeps those records is Old Man Draca?"
Shiv knew of the man, but he didn't know he was the record keeper.
Shiv: "That guy's still alive?"
Cid: "Yep, and he's been the record keeper for the past 70 years. Last I talked to him he said that there's records that go back 300 years."
Shiv would be lying if he said he wasn't interested. He'd been wondering what was up with the girl since she got here. He was the kind of person who hated mysteries because it always involved questions that couldn't be answered. He had always been the kind of person that needed the answer to all questions that weren't too far outside the realm of reason. This was just another mystery that he personally felt the need to solve.
Shiv: "Alright then, I'll go check it out."
Cid smiled as he chuckled on the inside. He had known Shiv for 20 years, so he knew his personality inside and out. He knew Shiv's answer before it even left his mouth.
Shiv was about to start making his way towards the old man's house, but then he remembered about the girl.
Shiv: "Oh, almost forgot, do you mind keeping an eye on her until I get back?"
Cid gave a reassuring thumbs up.
Cid: "Don't worry kid, I'll watch her like a hawk."
And with that, Shiv made his way deep into the village in search of the old man's house.
It took a while, but Shiv eventually found the old mans house. He walked inside and saw old man Draca. The man looked at least 98 and had wrinkles for days. The old man stood behind a counter with a giant shelf of books right behind him.
Draca: "Hello there sonny! What brings you here today?"
Shiv knew that he probably shouldn't be honest about why he was there. Mainly because the truth would be too complicated. Complicated enough to destroy the old mans brain right then and there. Not only that, but Shiv really didn't feel like explaining the story again unless it was absolutely necessary. So, he told a lie.
Shiv: "I'm…uh…just catching up on my family history."
The old man gave an extremely wrinkled smile
Draca: "I must say, that is a wonderful thing indeed. It's nice to see someone here that wants to do something besides record the name of a dead relative or somethin like that."
The old man walked over to the bookshelf.
Draca: "So eh, how far back were you wanting to go sonny?"
Shiv: "Let's start off with 100 years back."
Draca slid his crooked index finger along the rows of books until he found one giant book and took it off the shelf. Shiv wondered if maybe he should jump over the counter and help the man, but to his surprise the old man's shriveled arms managed to carry the book and let it drop on the counter.
Draca: "There ya go sonny. Just be gentle with it; those books aren't brand new ya know."
Shiv nodded and carried the book over to a nearby chair and started to read. He opened the book and noticed that the book was organized into two parts. The first half of the book had a list of every male who had died in the village and the other half had a list of every female who had died in the village. So, shiv went to the middle section of the book where the female section started and began the painstaking process of going through every last deceased female from 100 years back. As he read, he noticed that there were two parts for each individual that died. The first part gave the name of the individual. However, there were some deaths that didn't have a name for some reason and were listed as UNKNOWN. the second part gave a detailed description of the person in case there wasn't a name for the individual or in case someone else happened to have the same name. Shiv knew that if he was going to find Strelayza in this book then the names weren't going to be of much help to him at all, so he decided to solely focus on the detailed descriptions of each individual. Hours went by as he went through page after page. As he was nearing the end of the book his eyes were starting to get tired, but he shook himself awake.
Shiv: "Come on Shiv! Only five more pages!" [ He shouted in his head.]
After 30 more minutes Shiv had finally reached the last page and he was hoping that Strelayza was somewhere in this book. He knew that if he didn't see her then he would have to go through a whole other book and that would take forever. He slid his finger down the page, praying that he would find her somewhere on this last page. And that's when he saw it. The last entry on the last page of the book.
Name: Unknown
Details: Young adult female. She was found outside the borders of the village. None of the villagers seemed to recognize her. She had white hair and a white dress of some kind. The villagers assessed her and said her hands felt warm as if they still had life in them, but after further inspection they realized she wasn't breathing. After many failed attempts to resuscitate her, she was determined to be dead. She was laid to rest in the Menka Graveyard.
Shiv was shocked. He couldn't believe he actually managed to locate her entry in the book. Shiv suddenly started to realize what all of this meant. The fact that she had supposedly died 100 years ago was a lot to take in, and the fact that she woke up from her grave just yesterday was an even crazier truth to come to grips with. None of it made any sense. Even if she had somehow been alive the whole time, then 100 years would have definitely taken a toll on her, and yet the description in the book described her as a young adult, which is exactly what she looks like now. She hadn't aged at all.
Shiv: "What the hell is going on…?" [ He asked himself.]
Authors note: This is going to be a LONG story. I have already finished the entire story in my head. I have found this to be the best method to writing a story because with my past work I just made it up as I went along, which didn't work because I fell into some problems with the plot near the end. However, this is totally different. EVERYTHING will be answered. You will REALLY need to pay attention from this point on. Or you will miss important details that tie up loose ends in the story.

Since I am a terrible drawer, I looked up some images on the internet that were close enough to the things I am imagining. AGAIN! None of this is my work and credit go to the original artist.
Strelayza: (this is basically what she would look like. Just take away the violin and give her shoulder length hair and that's basically her.)
