Renee woke up at the crack of dawn almost everyday to get dressed for work. But she didn't do that today, for some odd reason her alarm didn't go off. Renee woke up naturally, yawned and stretched before she got out of bed. Renee got out of bed and put on the slippers she had set to the edge of her desk and walked to the door of her room, opened the door and walked into the cold hallway.
Eliot awoke at nearly five in the morning due to a loud crash he heard outside. He jumped out of bed and ran to the front door of his shared apartment, and checked outside. Eliot saw that an power line had cracked and fell down due to the power line being as old as it was, Eliot sighed and went back inside so he could call the city and make a report. When he walked into the house he went to the fridge, grabbed an apple and walked to his room. He sat on his bed and called the number his landlord had given him, and waited.
Marvin worked night shifts, so being awake at three in the morning was normal for him. On his break from work he stopped by a gas station to buy himself a well deserved coffee.
'yeesh working late to huh Amigo?" Said the employee at the front desk. Marvin gave a smile and said
"Yes, I've been very busy". The employee scanned his coffee and told Marvin
"hey my name's Octavio" the employee said as he handed him the coffee.
Marvin smiled and said " My name's Marvin but my friends call me Path!"
Octavio looked at Marvin and said
"Cool, my friends call me octane so I guess that makes us friend's Path".
Marvin looked at Octavio and said
" ya I guess it does doesn't it " Marvin smile paid for his coffee and walked out the store.
Renee walked down to the kitchen and saw Eliot sitting at the dining room table drinking orange juice and looking at his phone. "Huh what's it take for someone other than Path to make breakfast around here?".
Eliot looked up from his phone and said sarcastically
"and good morning to you too!". Renee laughed and looked in the fridge
"so we gonna wait for Path too get home and beg his tired ass to make us some food?". Eliot looked up from his phone again laughed and said
" you do know I have a car we can go eat somewhere?". Renee laughed sarcastically and said
"what and get seen with you now that's funny!"
She said as she pulled eggs out of the fridge. Eliot put his phone in his pocket, grabbed his keys and said " put those away, I'll get food, don't want you burning the house down!"
Renee scoffed and then laughed as Eliot got in his car and drove away.
