Scott sat next to Cable- Nathan- and thought about the future Nathan had told him. Everything was just horrible. Scott didn't want to believe any of it, but Nathan had Corsair's dog tags and locket, as well as pictures of himself as a baby with Scott and… Madelyne holding him.

"I just don't understand… why would my brother kill Dad?"

"Corsair ordered him, as his father, to stop fighting. He's more like Havok than anything and doesn't respond well to orders. Right now, he should be with Moira MacTaggert in the UK. If Grandpa can get to him soon enough, then maybe none of what I told you will happen. Maybe the Shi'ar won't allow Lillandra's sister to become free. And if all that comes to pass, Rachel won't take me to the future to send me to the past, and I won't be… this," Nathan said, motioning to his face and body. "Maybe I'll be able to grow up with my parents instead of meeting them in the past."

"Wait, you've met an older me?" Cable nodded.

"Still the leader of the X-Men. Married. As happy as one can be with everything you've dealt with."

"So… your mom."

"I don't think I should give you too much about that. Anything can happen. Just let things happen naturally."

"But it is Madelyne?" Nathan nodded. He opened his mouth, then closed it and sighed. "What is it?"

"She won't be happy here," he told Scott. "You won't let her go on missions with the team, and she lost her… me. You don't realize what she's going through until she leaves and sends you papers for a divorce. The first I see of my mother is at her funeral."

"SCOTT CHRISTOPHER SUMMERS!" Scott winced.

"Sounds like my dad is here." Scott waited by the Starjammers' plane, as Ch'od refused to let him leave his sight, until he saw Chris walking in. He stood up and held his hand up to Chris.

"Hang on Dad… I know I'm in trouble-"

"That's putting it mildly, boy." Scott scowled.

"This is Nathan," Scott said, motioning to Nathan. "He's my son visiting from the future. He came to tell us about," Scott looked at Nathan. "Gabriel?" Nathan nodded. "Gabriel. My and Alex's brother."

"What are you talking about?" Nathan stood up and stood beside Scott. Chris had to admit that there definitely was a similarity between the two.

"When D'Ken murdered my grandmother, he took out the baby and put him in an incubator. It sped up the aging process to make it possible for him to be sold. He's now ten with the body of a fifteen year old. If my estimation is correct, he should be on Muir Island right now with Dr. Moira MacTaggert after escaping his Shi'ar master who was stationed on Earth."

"Why should I believe you?"

"Because if you don't change his future, he'll kill you. It'll cause this whole mess- trust me. You're better for everyone alive."

"Is he-"

"A mutant? Yes. His powers were how he was able to escape his captor."

"What can he do?" Nathan sighed.

"He can take the energy around him and turn it into blasts from his hands and eyes. He has a sort of telekinesis, and he can fly. Oh, he can also dampen other mutants powers. Good to have on your side, but against you," Nathan shook his head. "And if you haven't realized it by now, Alex and Scott's powers don't affect each other. Gabriel's powers will affect them. Alex and Scott will both be considered Alpha-level mutants, but Gabriel… He's an Omega level. If he doesn't want to be stopped, he won't be."

"I don't understand. How am I an Alpha level mutant? All I can do is fire beams from my eyes." Nathan looked at his young father and smirked.

"If you allow your powers to just go, you're near unstoppable. You took off layers of the Hulk's face. He was barely able to move, but the only way he could stop you was by covering your face with his hand. A second longer and I don't think he could have even done that. Even Wolverine struggles with him more than that."

"That's… disgusting."

"Is that all you're here to tell us?" Chris asked, putting his hand on Scott's shoulder.

"Yes, Grandpa, it is."

"Good." Chris turned Scott so that he was looking at him. "What have you done wrong today?" Aware of the Starjammers and Cable near him, Scott blushed as he stood at attention.

"I… I disobeyed you by leaving Grandma's house."

"And?"

"By flying home after being told not to."

"What do you deserve?"

"Discipline, sir," Scott said quietly, not looking at Chris. He winced as Chris started unbuckling his belt and pulling it through his belt loops.

"Present yourself." Scott unbuttoned and unzipped his pants as he looked around the room.

"W-where?"

"Touch your toes." Scott pulled his pants and boxers down and bent. Chris walked to him and wrapped his arms around Scott's waist. He raised his belt and brought it down onto Scott's butt.

"Ow! OW! DAD! Ah! Stop! Pl-please! OW!" Chris brought the belt down over and over until Scott's butt was a brick red and his arm was sore.

"What do you have to say for yourself, Scott Christopher?"

"'M sorry Dad! I-I w-won't do it a-again!" Chris pulled Scott up and hugged him.

"Do you realize how worried I was?" Chris asked him while squeezing Scott to him.

"I'm s-sorry!" Chris let Scott go to pull up his pants.

"I want you to think for a moment how I feel, Scott. I gave you explicit orders for you to stay with us. Instead of you obeying me like you said you would, you escaped out the window and drove off! I-" Chris stopped and took a breath as Scott hung his head. "We're going back to Alaska. You are going to apologize to your grandparents and to Hepzibah."

"Yes sir," Scott answered sadly. "What about the plane I brought?"

"Nathan, can you fly?"

"I'm the grandson of Major Christopher Summers. Of course I can fly."

"Ok. You'll fly behind us. You can stay with us while we come up with a plan to get Gabriel."

"I'll help by flying the plane, but I don't think it's a good idea for me to stay for long."

"Your great-grandparents would like to meet you. You know, my father is Philip Nathan Summers. You might have been named after him. I'm sure he'd love to meet you."

"It would be nice to see them, but I really shouldn't…"

"Madelyne is there," Scott told him, rubbing his arm. "I was just introduced to her today." Nathan sighed.

"It would be nice to see my mother. It's been over fifty years. Alright, I'll stay for a few days, but not much longer than that." Chris narrowed his eyes.

"Madelyne is your mother?" Nathan said nothing. Scott felt his phone vibrating and he sighed as he pulled it out.

"It's Alex." Chris took Scott's phone and answered.

"Hello? Yes, Dad, he's safe. No, I'm not finished with him." Chris sighed. "You still have that old place? Ok. We'll get the plane Scott somehow came into back to the airport and we'll get the Jeep. Alex has been behaving? Good. Good. Oh, she is? Her mother agreed? Scott will be thrilled. Ok. We'll be heading back in the next half hour. Let Hepzibah know I'll see her in less than six hours. Ok. Bye Dad." Chris hung up and put Scott's phone in his pocket.

"Uh, Dad?"

"Yes?"

"My phone?"

"You actually think you'll be getting it back anytime soon? Oh, Scott. You're grounded. No phone. No TV. No flying. No X-Men. No-"

"No X-Men?! Dad! You can't ground me from my team!"

"We'll discuss it on the flight back. We'll have plenty of time. Go get on the Blackbird."

"But-" Chris reached out and popped Scott three times.

"Get on the damn plane!"

"Yes sir," Scott said as he started walking to the hanger. Chris looked at Nathan.

"Make your way to the airport in Anchorage. We'll meet you there."

"Yes sir," Nathan said with a smirk.
