Chapter 1: Alexa's Awakening

Lady Alexia Ashford awoke from her slumber and was intermediately confused at why she did see Alfred kneeling for his superior. Instead a red-haired woman who had awoken her. Had that idiot really couldn't be bothered to wake her that he sent some servant to do his bidding. Not that she was complaining if this beauty woke her instead of her brother. That did not mean that Alfred shouldn't be punished for not listening to her orders. Her eyes racked up and down the woman with approval as she was leagues ahead of Alfred's other pathetic lackies. However, this woman must be important if she oversaw waking her up. The woman smiled warmly making Alexia feel funny at seeing the smile. She buried her feelings. Alexia asked in a rather shaky voice having not spoken in ages but still managing to be charming, "May I ask whom I have the pleasure in meeting?" A little know fact that Alexia could be very charming when she wants too not that she bothers since most people weren't worth the effort. This woman however seemed to somewhat interesting so Alexia had decided to be charming so the woman would be more likely to do what she wanted.

"I am Claire Redfield." Claire said warmly. She had never heard of any Redfield on the payroll so did not know what to do with her. Was she an employee Alfred had sent in his place Alexia thought to herself or someone else?

"Charmed Miss Redfield, I am Lady Alexia Ashford. The Heir of The Ashford Fortune" Alexia said politely and oozing charm still assessing the situation. She is feeling weak from god knows how long slumber so did not want waste her strength if she did not have too. "I don't suppose you can tell me what is happening." She asked one she saw the state Alfred had let the lab fallen into. Someone would be punished.

She stepped out of pod and then promptly collapsed as she didn't realize she didn't have to strength to stand. Claire managed to catch her before she crashed headfirst onto the ground and embarrass herself. "Thank you, Miss Redfield I seemed to have misjudged my own strength." The embrace felt nice Alexia thought to herself. No one ever hugged her like that before the childish part of Alexia, Alexia thought she had eliminated from herself.

"Its fine, I am happy to help." Claire said as she helped Alexia to her feet. She let go once Alexia could stand by herself. Alexia missed the warmth before she dismissed the feelings as worthless. "And call me Claire." Alexia was nearly taken aback at the woman's forwardness with her clear superior. This woman was something else if she dared to be this familiar with her.

She took Claire hand and kissed it before saying alluringly, "It be my pleasure to call you that, Miss Claire." She then added against her better judgment already liking the woman and deciding to indulge her, "You may call be Alexia if you so desire." Claire's face was red, and she grow nervous.

"Thanks Alexia." Claire stated rather nervously, "I don't know what happened. All I know is that this place has been abandoned for a while…"

"What!" Alexia said shocked and seething in rage. Alfred was going to pay from leaving her here alone. What if something had gone wrong and someone had to wake her up. The blasted fool did not listen to her. She could of died and no one was here to stop it.

"I sort of scumbled onto you and decided to rescue you from Alfred." Claire said. "I don't know what actually happened here to be honest." Alexia rage at her brother dimmed as she noticed Claire said rescue from Alfred meaning Alfred did not send her. The dark part of her wanted to kill the woman in that case before the more rational part thought that perhaps the woman would be helpful in gathering information and replacing Alfred since he was so useless. Yes, Alfred clearly shouldn't have had her favour in the first place that was on her for being lazy in finding someone to do her bidding. However, she will correct that mistake in due time as Alfred was no longer useful now, she was awake and able to control her estate. Thanks to charming Alexander into giving her full control and then giving Alfred temporary ownership whist she slept and bonded with the virus. Speaking with the virus it seemed that everything was in order. Yes, she was now superior then everyone else in more ways which made her very happy. All she needed was for someone to wait on her every order now Alfred was now fired from this role due to his many failures in this short time frame.

Alexia said over dramatically not that Claire noticed, "Oh my hero. I am glad that I am freed from the cutches of my horrid brother." She grabbed Claire's hand. "I am forever in your debt my lady Claire." Claire looked flustered.

"No need for that. I can't in good conscious leave you here as his plaything." Claire stated rather disgusted peaking Alexia's interest.

"May I enquire what my brother had done Miss Claire if that is not an inconvenience?" Alexia asked.

"I don't know if I should tell you everything." Claire said clearly thinking that a lady such as Alexia shouldn't hear how messed up Alfred was. Alexia generally did not care about Alfred at all. He could be torturing people for all she cared.

"I must know what he has done to you Miss Claire so I can give you compensation once we leave this base." Alexia said meaning more of a reward for waking her up since Alfred clearly forgot about her. Plus, she was morbidly curious what he had done. Claire explained everything pouring out. Alexia grew disgusted as he had dressed up as her. Clearly, he was past his use if his mind had gone already. The disgust appeared on her face as Claire explained the horrifying acts not that she was listening. Alexia said pretending to mean it, "I am so sorry for my brother's actions Miss Claire. I sincerely apologize for his actions and would like to do something for you once we have back on the mainland."

"You don't need to…" Claire started to say.

"No, it at least can do for waking me up." Alexia said somewhat sincere as Alfred would most likely had left her there for god knows how long.
