Chapter 1

The Beginning is Never Simple

Rapunzle sat on her balcony, staring into the abis, on what had to be the most boring in all of Corona. However, that was about to change. She gazed down at Alow's, the jewelry store in Corona that was famous for huge diamonds! Rapunzel loved their shimmering crystal necklaces. All of a sudden she saw three bandits stealing a cart of jewels. She launched herself to her feet, and threw herself of the balcony, springing into action

The moon and stars shone brightly, illuminating her path, as she dashed through the village. There were still some dark clouds from early that day, when it had rained, and puddles splashed beneath her bare feet with every step. The intense cold burned every inch of her from her dripping wet feet to her head, but she just kept going. Rapunzel's dress and hair flowed behind her, like a flag in an intense windstorm. However, no matter what, she knew that she would keep going, for there was always one reason to press on. This was when she felt alive.

She turned one last corner before she saw them, the bandits. All three of them wore hoods, shading their faces, two about her height, the other smaller. There was a voice, a woman's voice she, and it said something she didn't quite catch, but then

everything

went

dark.

It was a poorly lit room, the room that she awoke in. As she looked around the room she realized that it was a prison cell, and much like the ones in Corona. Quickly she tried to get to her feet, but fell backwards trying. She was overwhelmed by dizziness. Once again, the three hooded figures in black robes appeared.

"This is revenge for what you have done to us," they all said harmoniously. They turned and walked away, however Rapunzel could have sworn that the younger one looked back as if they were sorry, and at least that was a start.
