Kensi and Nell were hanging out together with Sam, Callen and Eric. They were at a bar celebrating Kensi's birthday and she was really happy with her family.
"Okay, Kensi, it's time!" Sam said as they all started singing Happy birthday to Kensi. Everyone at the bar started clapping while Kensi picked a candle to wish something.
"Happy birthday, Kens" said Nell as she hugged Kensi. Everyone started giving their birthday wishes to her when a very handsome guy came to her to give her his birthday wishes.
"Hey. I'm Marty, huh... Happy birthday!"
"Oh, thank you! I'm Kensi, by the way!" Kensi was really liking this guy.
"Nice to meet you, Kensi! Well, do you wanna drink something? It's my birthday gift..."
"Huh, I don't know... I don't want to interrupt anything between you and your friend..." Kensi said as she pointed to a girl standing at the dance floor.
"Oh, no, we, no... Huh, we just work together, we are coworkers..."
"Are you nervous? You look nervous!"
"Me? Nervous? Of course not! Pff, nervous..." Marty laughed but he was definitely nervous.
"Hum, whatever. I accept that drink, do you have something in mind?"
"It's your birthday, you choose!"
Kensi and Marty headed to the bar and Kensi asked the bartender for the greatest drink they had and it costs 20, Kensi looked at Marty to see if it was okay for her to ask for one. Marty caught that look and said "Make it double!", what made Kensi smile that made Marty smile too.
"So, are you guys dating?" Asked the bartender.
"Is it that obvious?" Marty joked.
"What? He's just kidding, we met each other literally a few minutes ago."
"And you're already in love? That's a record!"
"We are not in love!"
"Don't say that, princess!"
"Okay, I'm done, I gotta go..." Kensi said as she left to go to her friends.
"Hey, no, Kensi, don't go, please... Kensi!"
Kensi turned around very quickly what made Marty go against her.
"Uh, sorry..."
Kensi's hand was on Marty's chest in an attempt to stop him, but it didn't work. They were too close but none of them actually cared.
They stare at each other eyes for a few moments before Kensi talked.
"Maybe we should, huh..."
"Yeah, ok, I should get going..." Marty said has he stepped back. "Huh, this is my... my number, in case you... in case you wanna call me."
"Oh, ok, thank you, I will, huh, I will certainly use it!" Kensi said as they both smiled.
"Then I'll be waiting for it... Bye!"
"Bye!"
Marty turned to leave but then turned around again to Kensi.
"Oh, and Kensi?"
"Hum?"
"Happy birthday!" Marty said and smiled as he went out of the bar.
"Who was that?"
"Who was who? Too much alcohol, Nell?" Kensi joked and smile.
"No, not alcohol at all!"
"I just met him, okay? Nothing special!"
"Details..."
"He bought me a drink, nothing else!"
"If you say so..."
-- Later that night --
Kensi got home from her birthday party and decided to text Marty.
K. "Sleeping beauty?"
M. "Not really, princess."
K. "How did you know it was me?"
M. "No one texts me at this time of the night"
K. "Your friends are boring!"
M. "I don't have many, you're kind of the only one..."
K. "Yeah, are you telling me that you don't give your contact to every person that appears at a bar?"
M. "Yes, that's exactly what I'm telling you!"
K. "Okay."
M. "That's all? Aren't you going to say something like 'oh, that was cute!'?
K. "No Marty, I'm not going to say that..."
M. "But you want to!"
K. "No, I don't!"
M. "Kensi, do you wanna come to my house?"
K. "What? Are you drunk?"
M. "No, I'm not..."
K. "Well, if you tell me where it is, maybe I appear there! ;)"
M. "Girl, you know the Glink's restaurant?"
K. "Of course I do! That restaurant is a legend!"
M. "Meet me there!"
K. "Okay, but do you think I can get a friend to come with me?"
M. "Of course... And maybe I get a friend of mine, too."
K. "I thought I was your only friend..."
M. "Well, yeah, that wasn't totally true..."
K. "I figured... See you!"
M. "I'll be waiting! :)"
Kensi got out of texts and called Nell to invite her. She accepted and they met and Kensi's house and carpooled to Glink.
-- A few moments later --
"Marty!" Kensi shout as she got out of her car that was parked right in front of the restaurant.
"You actually came..." Marty was surprised, he really thought she wasn't coming.
"Yeah, of course! I wouldn't let you here waiting for me without me coming... This is Nell, by the way!"
"Hi, Marty! I heard a lot about you..."
"Really? That's surprising, actually... Okay, let's go, my house is right in there." Marty really wanted to be with Kensi... and her friend of course.
"Let's do it! Oh, and, huh, by the way, do you have any idea for what to do?"
"Well, I was thinking of playing 'Truth or Dare'... Are you in?"
"Of course I'm in!"
"I'm in, too" Nell said.
"Awesome! My friend, Ray, is already there so let's just go..."
"Okay." Said Kensi.
They made do his house and Marty opened the door to let them in and then he entered.
"This is nice!"
"Really?"
"Yeah, it's cool, it has enough space for your stuff, so it's cool!"
"Thank you! Have a sit. Do you want to eat something?"
"A beer would be great..."
"A beer it is! What about you Nell? A beer too?"
"Yeah, why not..."
"Four beers then! You guys can talk to Ray and meet each other..." Marty said and went to the kitchen to grab four beers. When he came back from the kitchen he handed them their beers and sat closer to Kensi on the floor. "There you go."
"Thank you... So, do you want to start playing right now, or...?"
"We can start now, if you don't mind..." Marty said a little bit insecure.
"Okay, then, truth or dare?"
"Wow, why don't Nell or Ray start? Does it really have to be you?"
"Yup, lover boy... Truth or dare?"
"Well, truth!"
"Alright... Are you in love with someone at the moment?" Kensi wasn't sure of the answer, but she knew that if he said 'yes' it would hurt her so bad..
"Why, are you interested?" Marty said and grinned to Kensi.
"Ahah, very funny! Answer the question!"
"Yeah, I am!"
Kensi wasn't at all waiting for this. Her smile started fading and her eyes stopped shining...
"Are you serious, man? Does she like you back?" Ray asked with a smile on his face.
"I don't know, but I think I'm about to find out..." Marty said as he glanced at Kensi. "Alright, my turn! Ray, truth or dare?"
"You already know my answer!"
"Yeah, okay, I dare you to order takeout pizzas for all of us and then tell the guy that you don't have time because you are in the middle of something with your 'baby girl'!" Everyone laughed at that and Kensi was better. Ray picked up the phone and ordered pizza with Marty's recommendations.
"You're an ass Deeks!"
"I'm sorry, Deeks!?"
"Yeah, my name is Marty Deeks, but my friends and coworkers call me Deeks, so..."
"Oh, ok, I get it..."
"Ok, Kensi! Truth or dare?"
"Hum... Dare!" Kensi said and smiled nervously at Ray.
"Well you have to... kiss Deeks!"
"What!? Can you repeat that?"
"Kiss Deeks! That's my dare!"
"Oh... I'm not going obligate him to do anything he doesn't want to..."
"Of course he does, I mean look at his puppy face. He really wants to kiss you!"
"I don't mind at all!"
"Marty!!!"
"What? I've been thinking of this moment for a long time!"
"Are you kidding me? We met each other 5 hours ago..."
"And? That's the time I needed to fall in love!"
Everyone fell in silence; Marty couldn't believe what he just said; Kensi was definitely speechless.
"Ok, maybe I can change my dare... When the pizza guy comes you are going to pay the order with a robe and apparently nothing underneath it!"
"Oh, that's a hell of a dare! Do you have any robe, Marty?"
"Nope, but you can use one of my shirts..."
"Oh, okay, then."
They were acting like nothing happened, acting like Marty have never said that he was in love with Kensi, acting like two teenager who like each other but can't admit it!
They heard a knock at the door and Kensi went to the door.
"Oh, hello. Is that my pizza?"
"Yeah, it is." The delivery man said looking Kensi up and down when Marty came up from behind and wrapped a arm around Kensi's shoulders getting her completely off guard.
"How much do we owe you?" Marty said completely jealous.
"Hum, 25."
Marty grabbed his wallet and gave the money to the guy while Kensi picked the pizza.
"Thank you!" The guy said and Marty closed the door.
"Deeks! You ruined it!"
"I'm sorry, I just couldn't-"
"I'm sorry for interrupting, but my boyfriend is here, so I gotta get going!"
"Okay, Nell! Good night!" Kensi said and hugged her.
"Good night, guys." Nell said and closed the door behind her.
"You two need to talk, so I'm gonna head home! Bye man!" Ray said as he bro-hugged Marty. "Bye Wikipedia!" Ray said and hugged Kensi before getting out.
"Kensi, I'm sorry!"
"You don't have to be sorry for anything... You were trying to protect me, it's... normal, I guess."
"But we're just friends and I shouldn't have done it, I'm sorry!
"I just have a question..."
"Do it!"
"Am I the girl you are in love with?"
"Yeah, Kensi, you are! I knew that in the moment that I saw you at the bar! I really like you, Kens!"
"That's good!"
"Is it?" Marty was really confused at this point.
"Yes, it is, because I like you too, Deeks!" Deeks (a/n: I think I'm going to start saying Deeks instead of Marty, since Kensi is going to call him Deeks too) didn't know what to say so he got closer and closer until they were just inches apart... They could feel each other breaths in their faces until Kensi closed the small space between them and kissed him. It was the sweetest kiss for both of them, it showed so much passion, it showed that it wasn't needed much time to fall in love.
"Wow... that was definitely the best kiss I had of all times!"
"Me too! Deeks?"
"Yes, Kensi?"
"What did this kiss mean?"
"This kiss meant that we are officially together! It meant that I like you a lot and that I want to see where this can goes! It meant that 5 hours is enough for two people to fall in love! It meant the world to me!"
"Thank you, Deeks, for making these past hours the best 5 hours of my whole life!"
"You don't have to thank me... I would do it again and again without a blink of an eye, Kens!"
"I like you so much!"
"I like you too, Kensi!"
