You know, there would always be that one person in Class, who'll close off and shut the doors of their trust.
Sure, that might've been a rare sight since they'll learn to open up. But never once I saw her even speaking up to her own classmates, not even one. It always remains a mystery on how her saliva isn't spoiled yet that she never uses her mouth to communicate, teacher or hokage, or any higher up ranks there is. Heck even it was supposed to be a group damn project she finishes it individually!
Well if it's really required to work in pairs, she'll just write her message down on a piece of paper on whoever person she chooses to be in her team, then walks out casually like just any normal day. Not even bothering to look back and be back again in business as she quietly worked on her assigned part in the project, which made her so distant to us. Not to mention her freaking instructions were so damn complicated as heck! It even includes some math formulas or whatever it was called to show us the way or some shit. And worse, she has a very large range of vocabulary and loves to include complex definitions of words that we spent time on spending almost the whole day on the library searching the dictionary for every word she wrote!
The only person possible to understand her intelligent ways of doing things was none other than the arrogant, emo, duckass- no wait. He is widely known as the so called, 'mighty Uchiha Sasuke'. Yes it was annoying. Fan girls screaming like banshees and koalas so loud that you'll wonder why their own eardrums haven't even broke on their own voice. I don't even get why they have a crush on this dude, I mean, what's so great about him? His personality just made it worst. Sakura-chan's personality was bearable since she was silent and she never even once insulted nor hurt anybody's feelings. The only problem is her bookworm side, since she loves writing down advanced words, but other than that I have no complaints! I guess it's pretty much acceptable on how smart she was since she holds the title of the 'best kunoichi of the year'. But Sasuke? Hell no! It was torture to be with him! That teme thinks he excels better than anyone else and he steeps the other down low while keeping on standards high. You could tell it from his looks! His aura was- his aura was something I can't stand. He thinks everyone as a hindrance. I can feel it, believe me!

Sakura, on the other hand thinks everyone as equal as the blond has observed. Naruto won't simply forget the time where sakura lent him a hand and taught him lessons he did not understand, by means of conveying and explaining him the basics through the use of paper. The girl was a good teacher, he admits. But whenever the blonde tried pushing the pink haired girl to at least speak once, it was no use. She'll just return a smile then resumed on her teaching at the boy. Her attire did cover up her mouth since the neck sleeve reached until below her nose, which adds more mystery on her background. But it was not impossible to see her expression beneath the clothing.
But Naruto did not understand why Sakura would not socialize to the extent of not muttering anything at all. There was no problem, and as far as the blonde's knowledge knew, Sakura did not have any harsh past to result for this doings. Why would she try her best to conceal her presence in the classroom? Why try hard to be isolated and cold? That was the 2 questions cycling all over Naruto's head. It was puzzling enough for Naruto to comprehend since he was the happy-go-lucky type and was the exact opposite of the kunoichi. Naruto begged for attention while Sakura was hiding from it.
Why though?
He did not know.
Sasuke Uchiha. A teenage boy who's goal was pointing towards revenge. He kept himself reserved and cold as possible. Yet the raven haired boy did not understand on why attention was being directed at him.
Pity. That was the only thing the boy hated the most. That night replayed all over in a circular motion whenever civilians would glance at him with commiseration, as he detests those eyes they gave on every step he walked on. The boy's blood boil in rage as he hears the undying whispers from behind as words which Sasuke tried to not remember escaped from their lips. He wanted a little peace at least. He wished that once his foot landed on the classroom, there would be no murmurs about him or his now-dead-clan. But no. It was just like water. You try to stop it but it'll overwhelm you.
Yet as Sasuke stayed through the classroom all over the years, his interest on Sakura peaked as she was the only one out of everyone who kept herself reserved as long as he knew. Let alone speak for once. The reason why Sasuke did not have malice against the girl was because on how she treats everyone. Equal. Not like those pity civilian girls and some clan children like the Yamanaka which were fan girls. Yes, fangirls. One of the worst nightmare he rather not have than hearing naruto's ear rape screaming voice right over his face.
As observant the Uchiha kid is, he did not failed to notice on how the flower-haired girl would always choose a spot that will not gain any attention as she selected mostly the ones at the back. If not, then one side at an edge, mostly at the window side. He somewhat admired her unknowingly. His admiration was reasoned out on how she perfectly blocks out every noise that was disrupting her studies and despite on how many stalks she receives from fanboys, she managed to keep her privacy without any single one of them even damaged or even leaked. Hell none of them knew what her voice even sounds like. She was a perfect example of the definition "secretive". Which Sasuke was unsuccessful as his privacy was easily invaded.
She was full of surprises than she looks to have. He hummed in acknowledgement. He knew too well that she was something like a nerd but that was not a nice way of describing her wide-range comprehension. She was more like a bookworm. That explains on how her sharpness could rival the Nara's since they were the clan who has the highest IQ as far as he knows. Whether he admits it or not, her vocabulary was far greater than he could cover.
He remembers too greatly that time when Sakura asked him if they could team up since the others were having difficulties understanding the 'genius language' of Sakura.

I agreed as I understand her reason of having no choice but to ask someone who can understand her clearly enough to get the work done. Rumors spread that the lack of information of her groupmate on her usage of unknown words ended up not being complete that she herself ended up doing it. At first, I had confidence to back me up since I haven't really seen on what they meant. I was naïve to believe that I was smart enough to understand her so called language in which, even the teachers when there would be essays, caught difficulties to the point of searching the dictionary and scrolls for answers.
But then when she started instructing then showing explanation, I paled on the sight as questions flooded through my mind as I saw terms which was complicated enough to confuse me as I didn't have enough knowledge to even comprehend the word. Not to mention some complex spellings.
After that, we began to work the project at home. But separate. She asked that if I can come early at school as they would just merge their reports into one whole info. I nodded in agreement as I did exactly what she said, which I have no problem to agree since the idea was pretty good. Like it was normal, I carried stacks of dictionaries as I readied them one by one to try and partner them up to Sakura's literature style since a feeling told me that she'll use every single hard term that her mind remembers and was probably expecting me to do the same. It took a very long time for me to finish as I hoped it reached her expectation.
The next morning, I fastened my pace on my usual routine then rushed towards the academy since she asked if we could come, at least, the first one there in the classroom. As I slid the door open, I saw none other than a cherry blossomed hair, flipping a book as her elbow was making contact on the table and her hair was lying lose. Her left hand on her left cheek as she focused on the sentences she was reading. Her concentration broke when the sound of my footsteps echoed throughout the room. The sky was still pretty dark as it was only 5 AM in the morning. Let's say I was somewhat surprised that she got here earlier than me.
She closed the novel which she was keeping her eyes on, as it tells from the looks she was just reading a moment ago. I unhurriedly strolled inside the lecture room as carefully as I can. Not breaking the silence since I do found this awkward. Trying my best, I sat beside her left, breaking off the weird tension going on. Much to my relief, she did not seem to care about the tension and merely ignored it as if it wasn't even there. She reached out her project, in which I did identically and began merging them, pasting it on the ¼ illustration board. I was astonished to see on how neat her handwriting was. Not to mention the way she organized could be exactly called 'perfect'. Although my dad did told me no one is perfect, it's reasonable to say that Sakura was too organized almost like a perfectionist. Even though she's not as her aura did not translate that on her personality. It just seems but no. You know the saying 'Don't judge a book by its cover'.
As we performed our tasks, the silence was not unbearable for her presence was not hostile. It was rather welcoming and warm. The absence of sound remained for 1 hour, except for the chirping of the birds as the sun was rising awake from night. Luckily, an hour was enough in order to make the homework done, to be passed in the same day as today. We spent the remaining time on whatever we want. Well it was at peace before students came by. And the day was back to usual. My eyes darted beside me as the girl was noticeably already gone as she drifted towards the back sit. Hoping for her presence to go unnoticed, which was obviously a fail.

Out of boredom, Sasuke theorized on why the pinkette would be silent without any possible explanation. A mystery. Everything about her was a mystery. No one even knew where she came from and where she originated, but he do know that the girl's parents was on Konoha. Yet strangely, a gut feeling suppressed him that she was not related to any single one of them, let alone her parents. That question alone left Sasuke's mind occupied for the rest of the day. Even after weeks, he did not find an answer since whenever he does try to follow the kunoichi, she'll just magically disappear whenever the Uchiha blink. No wonder how fanboys couldn't catch her in comparison to the pinkette's agility.
Yet there was always a question that cycled throughout his head.
Why would she not talk at least once? As far as he knows, Sakura did not have any harsh backstory for something this extreme. The Uchiha mused
Why though?
For what reason?
She stays behind the back. Hiding through the shadows. Sasuke knew very well that he was no detective to solve cases like this. But he could not help himself from wondering why.
What is she hiding?
Why would she even close herself from the world when she has no justifiable reason to?
Why?
Sasuke did not know.
Questions flooded through Naruto and Sasuke as they couldn't quite understand Sakura's actions, which she didn't even need to do in the first place. Or so they thought.
Ounce by ounce, little did they know. That one day, the mystery case would be solved.
Since one day, everything would change.
As Team 7 would be formed.
