Alrain: So here is the 1st chapter of Night Raid Reborn and I will be soon updating more stories as well.
Chapter 1: Rebirth.
Empire in Ruins.
"NO!" shouted Akame mustering the last bit of her strength as she sliced through the icy wall and dashed forward and blocked Esdeath's way from trying to go over to Tatsumi, Murasame held up high and ready to strike Esdeath another time. It worked as the Ice General paused her eyes wide with shock before settling it with her normal expression and a smile formed by her lips, it seemed that she had another rival for Tatsumi's affection and Akame would've been a worthy opponent but was far too late, he was dead and Akame couldn't tell him that she loved him meaning she had won in that way.
"You're too late...you've won the battle of the Empire but not for his affection," said Esdeath and froze herself completely in ice before shattering into thousands of pieces, but that action put Akame even more on the edge that it was perhaps another thing of Esdeath's tricks and powers, trying to find her presence she could feel none but what made it clear that Esdeath was dead is that all the ice walls fell down.
Letting herself fall down as her whole body was too tired nor having the energy to even stand up anymore, the wave of exhaustion had finally hit her and she expected it to be hard, it wasn't as strong as she expected and why she didn't feel it so well was beyond her but then realized it. Everything of her body didn't feel right at all as when she had let herself fall down she didn't feel pain, she only felt the sensation of landing on her knees and not the pain meaning that something was coming which she would gladly welcome.
Death was coming for Akame as now the following effects came.
Everything became less clear to her and her senses dulled down, most of the strength left her body and memories of her past flashing across her eyes.
She did it again and mustered her last bits of strength together and went over to Tatsumi and lied down next to him, she didn't let go of Murasame and used her remaining hand to hold that of Tatsumi and smiled at him.
Even in death, he looked so peaceful and she could see a bit of regret on his face for not keeping his promise, she had prayed when he made that promise that he would fulfill it and be still alive. The chances of that happening were low and Akame knew that even with the likes of Tatsumi's will that it was his own kindness that cost his life, she wasn't any different ready to give her own life and die for the sake of the good. "Baka...promise me in our next lives that you will be there for me...breathing and smiling for me...I love you, Tatsumi,"
And with that Akame closed her eyes and breathed out her last breath and died next to Tatsumi with a cute smile on her face.
'Where are they!' thought Najenda as she had ordered her troops to search for Akame, Leone, and Tatsumi hoping the duo had survived, amongst all the chaos and leading the troops to attack the Empire she was the whole time worried about the 3 of them and hoped that amongst the carnage and fighting that all 3 of them are alive. The only reason that gave her doubt that they weren't alive was because of a single person that couldn't be considered human, Esdeath, whom she had fought alongside with during her time as a General of the Empire, so much power she can create and fight wars all on her own like she was totally and especially born for it.
"General! We've found them!" shouted one of the soldiers.
"Where are they!" demanded Najenda as she led her horse towards the soldier that called out to her but the expression of the soldier gave away of what she would see, and her horror became true as she saw the dead bodies of Akame and Tatsumi joined together both having left the land of the living. Najenda was shaking in pure anger, sadness, and sorrow, both of her subordinates dead on the ground and she knew that it was Esdeath the demoness who couldn't feel the slightest bit of empathy was the cause of this, she lost comrades and friends again and not so long ago she had lost Lubbock, was Leone still alive here or had she also fallen against her?
Dismounting herself of the horse she was riding the Former General took steps forward and kneeled down to the corpses.
"...You've earned...you both deserve to rest for a long time...I pray for you 2 to be reborn in an Era where there is peace," spoke Najenda as tears left her right eye and placed her hands on both of their heads, saying her last comrades and her family goodbye as they descended to the peaceful place they deserved to go to.
Remnant, Patch.
"Congratulations! It is a beautiful and healthy twin girl!" said the Doctor as he handed the twin covered in bundles to Raven as she was kept company by Taiyang who looked with tears at his daughters, it was a bit surprising that the difference between the 2 girls was easy to distinguish as one of them had yellow hair inherited from Taiyang while the other had black hair which she inherited from Raven.
"The blonde shall be called Yang, Yang Xiao Long," said Raven as she looked at the twin with yellow hair who opened her eyes and cried loudly and revealing at the same time that she had lilac eyes, her crying caused her twin to wake up and open her eyes making Raven a bit surprised that the girl wasn't crying but looked at Raven in curiosity, she had red eyes like herself and those eyes looked back at her and Raven felt like she was watching over a baby version of herself. "The one that appears like me will be called...Akame,"
From this day on the Twin Yang and Akame were both born into the world of Remnant not knowing that one of them was actually from another world.
While Taiyang was getting praised by Summer who also began to explain to him why Qrow couldn't come no matter how much he wanted to go, Raven had her attention on the twins in her arms sleeping peacefully, her eyes looked at Yang who was drooling in her sleep and studied the air around her, she was going to be like Taiyang who was fitter to fight with his fists than a sword. Then she looked at Akame and her eyes narrowed a little bit before a smile graced her lips seeing the greater potential in Akame, the girl looked almost exactly like her but she saw some different features in her, but none of Taiyang at all and the air around her was different.
She decided that Akame would be the stronger of the twin and that Yang would take years before she would ever reach the level of Akame.
Akame who felt something looked up at her mother in curiosity again but then focused her attention of Taiyang and Summer and giggled, holding her arms up towards Summer demanding that she too would hold her in her arms.
"Oh~! You are so cute~!" cooed Summer Rose as she gently tickled the tummy of Akame making her giggle in delight.
"Summer~! Don't steal my daughters from me~!" whined Taiyang wanting to hold his daughter too but the moment when Summer tried to hand Akame to him she pouted, using her small hands she held herself onto Summer's clothes not wanting to be separated from her yet. Taiyang whined again that Summer stole his daughter from him without even trying to do it, Raven looking unimpressed at Taiyang's whining while giving an eye to Summer who smiled sheepishly.
Taiyang eventually calmed down when he was given Yang who didn't push him away and accepted his hugging.
Once Raven was discharged from the hospital she left immediately when she was informed of it and while Taiyang offered to carry her she refused and glared at him, and Taiyang backed down immediately and mentally berated himself that his concern for her was mistaken as seeing her weak. This was going to be a bit hard as Raven was a hard one to converse with even after marriage, and while he carried Yang in his arms Summer offered to carry Akame but raven refused and was insistent that she would be the one carrying Akame, while Taiyang was worried about this and that it could escalate but decided that it was nothing.
Over the 1st few years, they watched over the twin as they were fed by Raven, sleeping in their crib, changing diapers, and seeing them attempt to crawl around the place.
Taiyang loved his daughters a lot and always considered himself one to never have a favorite...but lately he had been doubting that as his daughter Akame who looked a lot like her mother as Akame was odd, she didn't exactly behave like most babies did and he knew there were babies that didn't cry very often, but he never heard his daughter Akame cry once.
Akame was like always silent most of the time and did show smiles and excitement fitting for the behavior of a baby, but he found her sometimes staring at the weapons of Raven, she moved in a way similar to that of a huntsman as she avoided long places that would waste energy, while Yang would try very hard to do it in a single way Akame tried to find another way around to get what she wanted. And there was another strange habit about Akame and that was that she...ate a lot for a baby as a single bottle of milk wasn't apparently enough for her, she needed at least 4 bottles of warm milk to feel satisfied without feeling tired.
"Looks like Akame won again," commented Summer as she saw the 2 girls wrestling a bit with each other and while Yang was just a bit stronger than Akame she didn't win, Akame was very smart to use speed to her advantage and could predict what Yang was going to try out to get on top of her. In short, Yang lost again and Akame won again and got to get to snuggle on Summer's lap.
"Of course, my daughter is born strong," said Raven with pride in her voice.
There she was again with 'my daughter' and not 'my daughters' was what Taiyang noticed again and Summer seemed to know as well, but both didn't even point that out knowing that she would deny it.
'Taiyang, I know that you say that loves changes people...but with Raven, I'm not even sure she will completely change as the mentality is that as my old man's. The strong survive and the weak die is what his philosophy was and it got more stuck on Raven then me, so I would watch out if I were you...ignore the last part that would be a nightmare to the both of us!' rang the words of Qrow in his head once the marriage ceremony was done and their friends congratulating the married couple, at that he looked at Raven again and frowned as her attention was only on Akame again, not sparing Yang another glance and her eyes narrowed.
Akame suddenly woke up from Summer's lap and looked around her and then at Raven and blinked confused, Summer herself was quite confused why Akame woke up so quickly as she had let the girl always sleep on her lap, once she did that she hardly woke up nor was easy to wake up from her sleep.
'Qrow...no, I must be seeing things, the window is open so it is a bit chilly,' thought Taiyang waving away the thoughts of himself denying what he thought he was seeing and feeling.
The day wasn't chilly at all as it was Summer and I mean the season, not the huntress currently serving as a makeshift pillow for a girl.
A few years later.
"Again!? How many laps is Akame going to run?" asked Summer worried as she held little Ruby in her arms as she was sleeping while Summer was watching Akame from a distance, the girl had been running another lap up the hill and would come back and run back up again, drenched in sweat yet showing only small signs of fatigue and only resting when she wanted to drink some water.
"I don't see anything wrong with it, with this Akame, will build up stamina and speed," said Raven not seeing anything wrong with what her daughter was doing, Summer frowned at the commentary and how easily Raven waved it off like she didn't care at all, though the last part wasn't exactly true as she saw that Raven paid more attention to Akame then Yang and would encourage this type of behavior.
"Taiyang! Shouldn't you stop her!? And let your wife know that this isn't something to wave off that easily!" said Summer glaring at Taiyang that he didn't do anything, he could only shrug as he wanted to do that too but knew at the same time he would have no success. Akame was a bit stubborn like Raven herself and he did try to ask only to get the same response from her, she didn't know why she did it saying that it only felt natural for her to train her body like she was preparing for something.
Taiyang knew these cases by some amnesiacs that have lost their memory but performed usual habits that they've done, lost memory or not the body still functioned well in a way that made it muscles memorize the movements of their habits. Akame wasn't an amnesiac as she hardly forgot anything and besides that, she may have crawled around as baby a lot but that wasn't exactly the same thing.
"I tried to! But Akame is just too stubborn to stop...probably Qrow's fault!" muttered Taiyang the last part thinking it was Qrow's fault for showing Akame how to swing a wooden blade, he recalled that Yang once complained to him that Akame didn't want to play which was odd as Akame was always willing to play with her, he had gone over and was met with the sight of Akame watching Qrow who was practicing some moves with his sword and Akame giving it her full attention.
Akame was terrifying in her own right as Qrow offered to show her some of the basics she agreed and took a wooden sword herself too, Taiyang didn't want his daughter to start this quick but a glare of Akame who rarely complained silenced him. Through that, he discovered his daughter was a prodigy in the art of swordplay and while it was funny that Qrow got almost beaten up as he was taken by surprise, he went a bit out too and Akame easily matched him with trading strikes, slashes, fake-outs, and other techniques she had quickly caught on in the middle of the fight. 30 minutes without taking a break and carefully thinking through how to break through Qrow's defense, she had held her own against Qrow who he admitted was a greater huntsman then he was for a full 30 minutes and could still keep going.
"I just hope Ruby won't be inspired by her," sighed Taiyang while Summer could only nod and see Akame back and go up again to run another lap.
The strong survive and the weak die.
Akame was stronger, smarter, and faster than Yang even with her slight advantage in the area of strength she hardly won against Akame, not once has she won and for some reason, he couldn't see her winning any time soon even as teenagers as Akame always had that weird air around her that she was very strong. Was that perhaps the reason why Raven showed her emotions more openly with Akame then Yang, she got a bit more attention from her because she was born strong and talented in sword arts like her, was it all because of that?
Words of her father that made her favor Akame over Yang?
'...no, Raven loves them both equally,' Taiyang denied what he was thinking as he knew deep in his heart Raven had changed firmly believing that their love was what changed her.
The day ended up with Akame stopping and looking at the hill panting and counting how many laps she did, Raven had asked her wanting to know how many laps she had run onto the hill, once told she showed a sign of approval and Yang complained to her twin sister that she didn't get to play with her. Yang tried it to but couldn't keep up with the speed Akame went and where the stamina she got from, while Akame showed a genuine apology Yang brightened up at the mention that she would the next time play with her and not run laps. Raven didn't seem to be happy about that as she showed that she didn't like the idea of Akame skipping a single day to have fun with Akame, but didn't voice it out and showed it with her eyes to Yang who wasn't looking a look of disapproval and whether it was that she didn't match Akame's speed or that she made Akame skip a day of training.
"Nee-chan! Let's go plan what we are going to play next time!" shouted Yang running up ahead.
"Yang! Don't run otherwise you will fall-nevermind!" said Akame as Yang fell down on her knees as she tripped ending up making her cry, the moment Yang cried Akame was in an instant by her side whispering words that the pain would soon stop, and Akame went to carry her on her back and was insisted about it. It was a bit odd that Akame behaved like the elder sibling as she was a single second younger than Yang, but with how she behaved she could be seen and mistaken as the elder sibling.
No, this wasn't happening at all, she had changed through their love so why did she end up leaving?
"I should've seen this coming," muttered Qrow as he looked at Summer who looked sad and disappointed as she comforted her daughter and Yang, he looked at Taiyang with an angry gaze as he saw him in a state of mind that was denying that Raven truly left, even with all the evidence that Raven took her belongings Taiyang denied it and Qrow knew what he needed to do.
He punched Taiyang and launched him against one of the bookcases snapping him out of his denial.
"Qrow!/Uncle Qrow!" shouted Summer and the children while Qrow didn't care the slightest bit and continued glaring at Taiyang.
"You should've seen this coming, Taiyang, but you thought you alone changed her a lot...but I know her that she wouldn't want this place at all," began Qrow as he began to tear down all the excuses Taiyang told himself why Raven left with Akame. "Because of your narrow-minded thinking she left and you always thought that the possibility that she would've run away wasn't possible, but now it happened and it also robbed away one of your daughters,"
"I-I..."
"You thought she changed because of your love...that love of yours was nothing but unstable and now Akame is gone..." Qrow loved his nieces a lot and he had a favorite and that was Akame who he loved a lot, the girl was a smart one and was a bit like Ruby that she could sense his sadness and always spends a lot of time around him, she was born with such sharp senses she easily avoided the small accidents caused by his Semblance just to stay by his side and made the loneliness stay away longer.
"Right now there isn't any way that we can save Akame or ever convince Raven to come back, I know where they live but I also know what Raven will do," said Qrow looking at the whole family and as much as he disliked doing this he had to, he had seen that look on Raven's face whenever Akame was training herself like she was seeing a younger one of herself. "Raven has too much of a deep connection to the tribe and I know what she wants to do with Akame, she wants to make her the future leader of the tribe,"
"What!?" shouted Summer not wanting Akame to be turned into a leader of a group of bandits.
"Too late...Raven always looked at her and I can see that it can't be undone," Qrow decided not to comment about that it was also partly Akame's fault for her training a lot, she resembled her mother a lot and he could see the times when he and Raven were forced to hard training when they were kids, Raven had always been a bit better than him since she was a bit more brainwashed. The strong survive and the weak die and Qrow never liked that philosophy and he was always born with the kindness of his mother who had died giving birth to the 2 of them, how his old man waved off her death so easily wasn't something he would ever forgive him for.
Then there was Taiyang who he found an idiot as he had been pursuing Raven from the 1st day he has seen her and was blind, blind that she truly didn't like him at all and even today he didn't know why she fell for him, he waved that part off as it was probably puberty and stupid luck. He was even more blind when Raven accepted his love for her and was now completely sure of himself that he would have a peaceful life, a naive thought as he never truly knew Raven and the brainwashing she had grown up with, and now he had been in complete denial that she truly left and that their love truly changed her.
"We can't do anything right now as Raven is going to make Akame the future leader of the tribe, and she will not easily let us take her much less stay at the same place...I'm going to do something about it,"
Alrain: I know that I have hurried things here up a bit but you all should know that I suck at beginnings, so let me explain how the souls of the deceased members of Night Raid Ended up in Remnant.
When Lubbock used his Trump Card to sever space and time the opening allowed 2 certain Gods to pull the souls into this world but were careful to not take souls like those of Honest and Esdeath, some characters who just had a rough upbringing are there too as they weren't perse evil in the very beginning.
So there are a few ideas to this as like having the Semblances of the members of Night Raid be the special functions of their Imperial Arm...or maybe not? Nope, that isn't going to happen but they will have their Imperial Arms but not that soon and the reason why the Imperial Arms won't be the semblances, it is simple as I may be a big fan of Akame ga Kill but I am also a fan of RWBY so I don't want to strictly bind the Imperial Arms.
So send me a PM or a review to make a Semblance that represents the characters of Akame ga Kill that they regret the most, remember that a Semblance is what they represent with, an action that they repeat too many times, thought of that is what they need to reach the goal they want to reach, and what they think of themselves or their personality.
So the 1st one is Akame and what she represents and what Semblance she will have, I have an idea myself but send an idea of a semblance that suits Akame.
Until next time.
