Prologue
As it goes the land of Pokémon is a lively, and joyous place. Not often are there complaints to be had, nonetheless even the most cheerful of people could come up with one of those oh so rare complaints when faced with the task of herding an abundance of mareep and the occasional flaaffy into a barn to be sheared and finally ridded of a years worth of cotton like silky wool. This fatiguing and mundane task just so happened to occur annually on what should be the happiest day in our protagonist year; His birthday. Normally it would not be so bad as the task is completed within a few hours with the help of his father, and the ranch hands Danny, Micheal, and Darlene to guide these electrical balls of wool towards the fading red building and away from the plethora of grass and wheat bales held together by string that they normally could graze freely upon. However on this particular day these hours of herding were hours that Jesse simply could not spare; today was his sixteenth birthday. Typically a trainer would embark on a journey a long six years before this, yet Jesse was "not other trainers" as his father put it. And so after pinning and removing the hair countless mareep and the occasional flaaffy he would be aloud to at long last begin his journey to become the greatest trainer this world had ever laid eyes upon
