What if Cassidy is Kevin's fiance? Can't wait for the season 5 premiere!

Kevin and Cassie took the red eye from LA to Philly a few nights before his 40th birthday. He was sad to miss Madison's eight-month doctor's checkup, but she was feeling fine, and Kevin really needed to be with his family at this time.

Actually, Kevin really needed to leave LA. A few weeks earlier, Cassie finally moved in with him, and Kevin was spotted by the paparazzi waiting for her at the terminal with a huge bouquet of flowers. It wasn't long before TMZ parked themselves in front of Kevin's home and followed him and Cassie wherever they went. First, it was restaurants and Kevin's movie lot, but soon it was Cassie's new OBGYN. The press quickly surmised that Cassie had a baby bump, and within days noticed the three carat sparkler on her ring finger.

It was Madison who recommended Cassie's doctor: her doctor, Eli Mason. In fact, Madison, Cassie, and Kevin did their best to be as mature as possible in a very awkward situation. Yes, Kevin impregnated Madison in their one night of passion. Then, only six months later, Cassie got pregnant during a two-week getaway to celebrate Cassie's divorce and the wrap of Kevin's latest action movie. Kevin never said he was a saint; and two sexual partners in six months was actually pretty low for an unmarried celebrity.

Cassie's pregnancy wasn't planned, but it wasn't prevented either. Both felt that there wasn't much time to start their family. So, the baby was a welcome surprise. Kevin also appreciated that the baby motivated Cassie to move to LA sooner rather than later, despite Madison's impending twins and Cassie's newly single status. Cassie's ex-husband had primary custody of their son, but Kevin promised to fly him out, first class, every long weekend, and would make sure Cassie returned to Pennsylvania whenever she wished.

Quite frankly, the biggest surprise of all was how understanding Madison was of the situation. She told noone (other than Kate) of the identity of the baby's father, and arranged for Kevin to slip in to doctor's appointments using the physicians' entrance. Now that Madison and Cassie were seeing the same doctor, the two women agreed to schedule their appointments back to back to minimize Kevin's visits and unwanted photos.

Kevin knew that the truth would come out eventually. He would be on the twins' birth certificates and present for the birth. He had arranged for his attorney to draw up custody paperwork and his business manager would ensure that generous child support would be paid every month, no questions asked. At the moment, though, if US Magazine were to ask Madison how she and Kevin know each other, she would simply say that his sister is her best friend. Full stop.

So, the trip to the cabin was a return to the warm embrace of his family and an escape from the questions that were soon to come. The only disappointment was that he was still not talking to Randall. And, of course, Rebecca's frustrating memory issues.

Kevin and Cassie walked off the plane at 6 am with smiles on their faces. Although they did not get a full night's sleep, they did enjoy privileged status on the flight, with fully-reclined seats, privacy screens, gentle wakeup music, and fresh squeezed orange juice. Both Cassie and Kevin declined a splash of champagne.

They grabbed their bags from the carousel and called for a Lyft to take them to downtown Philly. Although Kevin could have easily afforded a town car, he found most drivers to be mercenary - willing to forfeit any discretion with a $10,000 cell phone photo. Kevin wasn't in the mood to make the celebrity pages. He wanted a quiet week and to celebrate his 40th with his girl and his family.

This wasn't to say that Kevin completely ignored his star status. He was able to wow the staff at the Kimpton Hotel downtown and checked into their suite eight hours early. Cassie was feeling quite queasy with morning sickness, and Kevin asked the bellman to deliver some saltines and soda water. She was able to settle her stomach, and the two enjoyed a nap before heading out for the day.

To the two of them, this trip to Pennsylvania felt like a surreal trip home. They had decided earlier that Cassie wouldn't see her son because he would be confused with the quick back-and-forth. And, Kevin wouldn't be meeting with Randal or his kids, even though one of his great pleasures was teasing Annie and her sisters. The first few days would be just the two of them.

After the mandatory cheesesteak and a few Tums, it was time for their afternoon appointment. They took another Lyft to a red brick rowhouse in a residential neighborhood and found the basement office. Kevin knocked loudly on the heavy wooden door.

The door opened widely and a short white woman waved timidly. She had large wire-rimmed glasses, salt-and-pepper hair in a short bob, and was dressed smartly in a black knit turtleneck and wool camel-colored trousers. She was also barefoot.

"I see you found the place," Suzi Matthews stated. "I don't get a lot of out-of-towners; especially not celebrity visitors." She smiled. She was clearly star stuck.

Kevin and Cassie smiled as well. "Actually," Kevin corrected her, "we're both from Pennsylvania, even though we now live in LA. Our families are here and I know the area quite well. I love this neighborhood, and I've heard great things about your work."

"I'm very glad to welcome you both into my home office. Come in, please." Kevin and Cassie followed Suzi into the space. Although it was a basement, it somehow felt airy and spacious. Kevin appreciated how she modernized the historical building, and the use of warm materials.

It was if Cassie had read Kevin's mind. "I love the look of your office," she said. "It feels contemporary and inviting, but it isn't sterile in any way. Where did you study?"

"Actually, I received my architecture degree from USC. And, then I interned for a few designers in Santa Monica and Venice. I love the West Coast modern aesthetic. But, I always knew I wanted to come back to Philly. Like you, Pennsylvania is my home. It just took me a decade to get back here. There aren't that many modern architects in the area. So, I've been able to build a decent practice for myself. I help update classical buildings and interiors and also start from scratch."

"You have a great reputation," Kevin said. "I admit, I didn't do that much research myself, but my assistant dug deep to find you, and I'm hopeful you'll take on our project. What I have in mind is a bit "out there", both artistically and geographically."

Kevin could tell he'd sparked Suzi's interest. "What's your plan?" she asked.
