A slight breeze came through the window, making the hairs on her arms stand on end. The little apartment was lit up by the lamp propped on her desk. Papers were scattered everywhere, and in the center of it all, Annabeth continued to work.
A groan resonated from the bed. Percy groggily sat up, rubbing his eyes. "Annabeth...?"
Without turning her head, she replied, "I'm almost done, just give me a few more minutes and I'll be in bed."
Percy squinted at the clock.
1:14 A.M.
He sighed, "You should really get some rest you know."
"I'm not tired."
He raised an eyebrow, "Your coffee intake says otherwise."
Annabeth pressed her lips together, finally noticing all the coffee stained mugs on her desk. She contemplated the option to go to sleep, and eventually, she got up from her desk and headed towards the bathroom. Stopping at the door, she said, "I'm going to wash up." She closed the door behind her.
Percy nodded, even though he knew she couldn't see him. He tried to remember the last time they went to sleep together. And quite frankly, he couldn't. He's always finding her asleep at her desk. Percy sighed again, leaning his head against the headboard. Lately, their relationship had been strained. They're both always at work, never sparing each other any time. The bathroom door opened, and Percy's head snapped up. There stood Annabeth. He took the moment to realize how beautiful she is. But it wasn't the same. He still loved her, sure, but something didn't feel right. She gently sat down on the bed, her back facing him.
"I'm sorry." Her voice was low when she spoke. "For, you know, neglecting this relationship and..." She paused, her eyes trained on the floor. The bed creaked a little, and before she knows it, a pair of arms wraps around her waist. Percy presses a kiss against the back of her neck.
His eyes brows furrowed. "I was just worried about you."
Annabeth turned around and faced him. "I know but...still, I didn't mea-"
Percy cut her off, attaching his lips to hers. Annabeth's eyes widen a little at the sudden movement, but soon gave in. Her heart started to pound and her body felt weak. Percy focused on how soft she felt against his lips. She tasted like mint and strawberries. Every sense in his body fogged, and all common sense went out the window. Percy pushed, bring Annabeth down on the bed with him. Her back pressed against the mattress. Percy hovered over her, his green eyes dark. Once again, he pressed his lips against hers. His lips trailed down to her neck, where he started sucking and biting.
Annabeth let out a low moan, tilting her head to give him better access. His hand trail down down her body, resting on her thighs.
The rest of the night was a blur.
I genuinely don't remember the last time I wrote about Percabeth. I'm still trying to get back into the atmosphere so apologies if this chapter was lacking.
