Chapter 1

"It's me, Theodore "The Beaver" Cleaver. Except for a short time when I was married, I've always lived in Mayfield. Times sure have changed. My son, Oliver lives in Upstate New York with his wife and two daughters. My oldest son, Kipp also still lives in Mayfield, now divorced. Kip's son, my grandson, Kyle, is 26-years-old and also lives in Mayfield with his two children, my great-grandchildren, 10-year-old Kevin and 7-year-old Kylie. I'm still living in my childhood home, which I inherited when my mother passed away. This is the story of "The Cleavers".

Beaver stood on a podium in front of Town Hall giving a speech to the citizens of Mayfield. Kipp, Kyle, Kevin, and Kylie stood in the front watching him.

"Today marks the 134th anniversary of Mayfield," Beaver said. "Now Mayfield is a part of us all. On this important day, we must remember that…."

"Dad," Kevin whispered. "This is boring."

"I want to go home," Kylie whispered.

"Me too," Kyle whispered. "But it would be rude to leave. So let's just pretend to like Grandpa Beaver's boring speech."

"Guys," Kipp whispered. "You're not whispering that well."

Kyle, Kevin, and Kylie looked up to see Beaver looking down at them.

"Grandpa," Kyle said. "How much of that did you hear?"

"All of it," Beaver replied.

"Come on, kids," Kyle said nervously. "Let's go to the um… Somewhere that's not here."

Later, Kyle got out of his car at his house. Kevin and Kylie slowly got out of the car and looked around.

"Why are you being so strange?" Kyle asked his children.

"We're making sure Grandpa Beaver doesn't see us," Kevin said.

"Yeah," Kylie said. "He looked really mad."

"Don't worry," Kyle said as he got his key out and unlocked the door. "I'm sure Grandpa's forgotten all about it."

As they walked into the house, everyone gasped as they saw Beaver sitting on the stairs.

"Good," Beaver said. "You're home. Let's talk."
