Chapter 1:
Our story starts in New York City at a place called, "Tiana's Place" which was one of best coffee shops in New York. Inside you could see four friends talking; a white-haired boy, a brown-haired boy and with them was a strawberry haired girl and a platinum blonde girl.
"Guys I'm telling you it is not a date," said the platinum haired girl.
"Elsa I'm telling you; it is for sure a date," said the white-haired boy.
"Jack isn't wrong Els, my only question is, is there something wrong with him?" said the brown-haired boy.
"Zip it Flynn Ryder. I'm sure he is a perfect gentleman," said the Strawberry haired girl.
"Thanks Anna. Seriously though guys, he's alright. To be honest, he's been asking me for awhile and I only said yes cause he is a decent guy," said Elsa.
Just then, a girl with bright blonde hair walked in and joined everyone. "Hey guys. What's going on?"
"Well Rapunzel, we are learning that your dear cousin over here is going out with what we men like to call a 'pretty boy'," said Jack smirking.
"Ou a date with Charming eh?" asked Rapunzel, as she wiggled her eyebrows.
Elsa groaned, wanting this conversation to end, "First off, his name is Chad not charming and secondly, can we please talk about something else?"
The rest of them laughed at her and continued their conversation.
Just then, a large blonde man walked in, went straight to the coffee house bar and asked for a dark roast. "Will someone get me an iced tea because a hottie just walked in," said Anna causing the rest of the group to look at the man. Jack instantly recognized him - How could he not? He slowly approached the man saying, "Well if my eyes don't deceive me, I believe I spot my old high school mate."
The man looked at who was talking to him and his blank expression turned into a happy one.
"Well I'll be damned! Jackson Overland Frost," he said giving Jack a big hug, lifting him up a bit. When the hug was over Jack looked at him and said, "Kristoff Bjorman. Man, it's been what- 4 years? Last I heard you were up in Canada."
"Yup I was up in the territories, living off the land," the man said smiling.
Jack smiled and asked, "So what are you doing in New York?"
"Well after spending a few years up there, I felt like it was time for me to come back. I've been in the city for a few months now. I'm staying up in Buena Vista Heights off of 3rd?"
"No way? Well, it's real good seeing you man! You have to meet my friends!" said Jack enthusiastically. He then brought the man over where the group was sitting.
"Hey guys! This is my old friend Kristoff from high school," said Jack as the group waved to Kristoff.
"Kristoff this is everyone: This is Flynn who is my… interesting roommate for a lack of a better word. This is Rapunzel who might be the best hairstylist in town. Anna, who can cook a meal with close to nothing in the fridge and we have Elsa, who may not admit it but is in love with me," said Jack cheekily, earning him a few glares from some certain people.
"It's really nice to meet you Kristoff," said Anna as she got out of the couch to shake Kristoff's hand.
"You as well. It's nice to meet all of you," he said smiling.
"Why don't you pull up a seat and join us," said Elsa.
Kristoff obliged and the group spent the next half hour conversing.
After everyone got acquainted with Kristoff, him and Jack exchanged numbers and Jack told him that he and Flynn live just above the coffee house, so it isn't really hard to find.
The remaining five went up to the apartment building. As it would happen, Elsa and Anna lived right across from Jack and Flynn's apartment. Dubbing Elsa and Anna's place as the place to hangout, Jack, Flynn and Rapunzel all walked up and they gathered in the sitting room, chatting.
"So, Kristoff, what's his deal? Single? Married? Complicated?" asked Anna looking intensely at Jack.
Jack chuckled and said, "Well considering I only just saw the guy, who was my best friend in high school today for the first time in a few years, it wasn't exactly one of the first things I thought of asking."
"Looks to me like Anna liked what she saw though," said Rapunzel, which earned a glare from Anna.
"It isn't that I just find him…intriguing."
Flynn groaned, "Anna, a complete Adonis walks through the door and the word you think of is intriguing?"
The conversation went on and on until Elsa had to go change for her date with Charming tonight. While she was doing that the buzzer went off in Elsa's apartment, so Jack and Flynn answered it, "The Winters residence, may I ask who this is?" said Jack smirking.
The person on the other end said, "It's Chad, I have a date with Elsa."
"We hear ya Charm…. I mean Chad! Come on up," said Flynn as he buzzed the door open. Just then Elsa emerged from her room definitely wearing an outfit that wasn't casual. This caused Anna to open her eyes wide, Flynn gave a cheeky smile wiggling his eyebrows, Rapunzel gave her a thumbs up and Jack looked awestruck.
"Els…I mean…I thought this wasn't a date," said Jack. Elsa smiled at her friend's reactions raising an eyebrow.
"Well I changed my mind," she said slyly. Just then someone knocked on the door and Elsa opened it revealing Charming. A tall man with perfect posture compared to Jack and Flynn who had blonde hair and wore a yellow blazer and white shirt as if he were royalty. He flashed a smile where you could see his teeth gleam as he saw Elsa.
"My, my Lady Elsa…you look amazing," said Charming as he extended his arm for Elsa to take.
Elsa smiled and blushed a bit and replied, "Thanks Chad. You look dashing yourself."
She then looked at her friends before she left and said, "Don't wait up guys."
Leaving Jack and Flynn with faces as if to say, 'that just happened', while Anna beamed. The two boys then decided to take their leave at that point as to avoid a possibility of being further embarrassed or shown up. They both went to their apartment across the hall.
After they had left Anna looked at Rapunzel and said cheekily, "So what about you and Flynn?"
Rapunzel then rolled her eyes, "What about me and Flynn?"
"Oh, come one! You honestly can't tell me you guys don't feel the same way about each other," said Anna as she raised an eyebrow. "I mean yeah we get along and we do have moments but…I just don't know if it is the right call."
Anna shrugged her shoulders and said, "I think you guys are meant to be. I think that when it happens, and it will. It'll be when you both are ready."
Across the hall, Jack and Flynn were having a similar conversation. Meanwhile, Elsa was with Charming getting dinner. One of them was rather enjoying the time that was being spent, while the other one, not so much.
"And that is how they managed to make sure my teeth are some of the straightest in the world," said Charming enthusiastically. Elsa was looking at her drink that was close to empty, "Oh ya that's…fascinating."
While the date wasn't terrible, Charming managed to talk about himself for the whole dinner. Charming smiled and continued his rant until the waiter came with the cheque and Elsa couldn't have gotten out of there sooner.
Charming walked her to her apartment and smiled saying, "I really had a nice time tonight Elsa."
Elsa responded, "Ya…we should do this again sometime."
With that they parted ways and Elsa went upstairs, just as she got to her floor, she saw Jack in the hallway, looking outside the window.
"Hey stranger," she said smiling at him. Jack turned around and said, "Well well, now look what the cat dragged in."
He moved a little closer and said, "So…er…how was your night with Charming?"
Elsa groaned and said, "I think he is a phenomenal guy, but…"
"But…?" Jack asked.
"He is not the person you know. I want someone who I can talk with casually, who will ask me about my day and make me laugh. Just someone who makes me want to be with them every minute everyday and Charming just wasn't that. God this must not make any sense to you huh?"
On the contrary, Jack knew exactly how it felt, "Well snowflake I don't know what to tell you. I believe there is someone for everyone. I'm sure the person you're looking for is close. Maybe closer than you think."
He looked at Elsa intensely and she smiled, "Your right Jack. He's out there. I just got to find him…or maybe he'll find me. Thanks Frost."
She leaned in and gave him a hug. Jack's face fell but forced a smile when they let go of each other saying, "Anytime. I'm always here."
She bid Jack a goodnight and she went into her apartment. After she went in, the smile from Jack's face faded a little. In all the years he had known Elsa, he had always seen them together in the back of his head but more and more the years went on and more and more Jack had to try and play it cool especially when Elsa was seeing someone.
When he went into his apartment, he closed the door and leaned against it thinking to himself, 'one of these days, maybe she'll see me the way I see her'.
"Dude…you okay?" said Flynn as he was munching on some pizza.
Jack put on his pearly white smile, tapped Flynn on the shoulder and said, "Ya man…everything is fine."
With that being said, he retired to his room for the night.
