Danny sighed happily as he sat snuggled between his two best friends. They were having a movie marathon, but they decided they wanted to torture Danny instead.

"Stop! Sam!" He laughed, Sam's hands glided across Danny's sides as she tickled him, Tucker laying across his lap blocking his escape path.

Suddenly, Tucker's wet hand rubbed across his face.

"Dude, Tucker! That was gross!"

He laughed anyways.

They kept going at it for a while until Sam suddenly stopped and smacked him in the arm.

"OW! What was that for?"

Sam blankly stared at him, before smacking him in the leg, her expression unchanging.

"Sam..?" Danny asked worriedly.

A hand slammed into his chest and Danny glared down at Tucker as he rubbed the sore spot.

"Dude!" He yelled.

And suddenly, it felt like he was falling backwards into darkness. Something was pulling him down and up and when he stopped moving he could feel himself sitting on a hard floor.

What…

He blinks his eyes open to see his jumpsuited legs.

Oh a dream. It must've been a-

SMACK!

Something slams into his face and his eyes close in surprise, his hand coming up to rub the spot where it hit. Looking at his lap he sees a nicely polished black shoe.

"What..?" He mumbled.

"Oh Sam, muahmuahmuah! Tucker! Stop it, please! Ahehehe! C'mon Fenton, wake up!"

Danny raises his head to see Wes, in a GIW suit no less, sitting across from him chained to the wall.

"Wes, what-"

Danny goes to stand up but is pulled back by his own restraints, slamming back into the wall behind him. So much for that.

"Wes, what's going on?"

Wes fumes. "I don't know! I figured you'd have something to do with this!"

Danny deadpans at him. "I'm also chained to the wall? If you haven't noticed, Weston?"

Growling, Wes continues talking. "So where are we Fenton? In a secret room in your parents lab?"

"What? No. This isn't what the dungeon looks like-"

"What?!"

"-anyways, this looks like the GIW compound. You know, the place you seem to work at now, Weston."

Wes scoffs. "As if. I've never seen this room before! And that's right! I do work there now! So why would they, hypothetically, have me chained in a room inside the compound with Danny Phantom?"

Danny throws his hands into the air as far as they would go. "I don't know! Maybe they've realized how crazy you are and decided to lock you up in solitary!"

"This isn't solitary dumbass, you're right there."

"OK whatever!" Danny huffed and crossed his arms. "How are we gonna get out?"

"Uhm, your ghost powers? You know, since you're a ghost?" Wes drawls.

Danny tries to phase out of the shackles around his wrists. "Nope, they're ghost proof. What a shocker."

"Can you phase me out of mine?"

Danny just stares at Wes from across the room, face drawn down in an expression of 'really?'

"I can't reach you Wes. You're all the way across the room! And I'm still shackled myself, we didn't solve that part yet."

"Mehmehmehmehmeh." Wes yammered, mimicking a mouth with his hand. "What are you good for if you can't even save us?"

Danny's eye twitches. He's been awake for less than fifteen minutes and he's already had it up to here with Wes and his entitlement. "I'd be able to save us if we weren't trapped inside of the GIW compound!"

"That's not where we are! I'd know!"

"Oh really Wes, how long have you been working here? A day? A week? I've been trapped here before! I'd probably know a lot better than you right now!"

"Oh, that's fresh! Just because you've been in a couple rooms doesn't mean you know everything about the compound!"

"That's not what I said, Wes! I-"

Danny was interrupted as the sound of a clang rang throughout the room, coming from the door. Slowly, the door was pushed open and in walked Agent K.

"Ha! See, Wes! I told you!"

Wes paled, looking at Agent K. "Uh, Fenton, now's not the time."

"I'm not-"

"Agent K, sir." Wes saluted. "What's going on?"

Agent K stared down at the both of them before turning to Wes. "As you know, rookie, as part of the preliminary evaluation that all new agents go through, everyone gets a DNA test."

"Yeah?" Wes asked. "What does that have to do with what's going on right now?"
"Well, you see, Agent W," Agent K continued. "We found DNA that matches traces of DNA left in Phantom's ectoplasm."

"What? How is that possible? It must be his fault! He must've planted it to get back at me!"

As Wes starts arguing with Agent K, Danny stares blankly at the floor in horror. It couldn't be. It just couldn't.

"No... " Danny whispered. "He can't be a clone. I'd know. I would have figured it out!"

"A clone?! What the hell are you talking about?!"

"A clone, Wes!" Danny shouted, meeting Wes's gaze. "A clone! Plasmius has made clones of me before, most of them not very successfully. I thought he'd stopped, but…"

Wes's face drains of color as he stares at Danny, cogs turning in his own brain. "You can't be serious. Me? A clone of you? How would that even make sense? I have my own memories of growing up and everything! That can't all be fake! Tell him, Agent K!"

Agent K stared down at Wes, his face a stone wall.

"The science doesn't lie. We'll be disposing of you both shortly."

And with that, Agent K walked out the door and pulled it closed with a clang.

The silence rang out and Danny watched Wes, who had wide eyes and was starting to breathe quickly. His hands made their way to his hair and he pulled.

"I can't be a clone! I remember growing up with my mom in Wisconsin! I remember when I moved here to live with my dad! That can't all just be fake can it? My whole life can't just be a big lie! It doesn't make any sense!"

Danny sighed. "The timeline matches up. You moved here after I got my powers, after Vlad created Dani and lost her."

"No!" Wes shrieked. "I'm not a clone! I'm Wes Weston!"

"Yes, you are Wes Weston. I'm not taking your identity away but…"

A hissing sound starts emanating from the room around them. Both boys look around until they glance at the ceiling, seeing vents dispensing a green fog. Danny coughs.

"I hope you're just a human, Wes. Otherwise… Otherwise you'll probably… Probably won't make it."

Danny collapses on his side, in a coughing fit, while Wes watches on in horror.

The fog filled Wes's vision until Danny could no longer be seen, and soon the coughing stopped.
