Welp, I don't really have much to say honestly so let's just get on with it x)

Pairing: Killua x Ponzu

Summery: What if Killua was there in time to prevent Ponzu from dying?.

'Please...find a hunter with a strong aura..' Ponzu thought to herself as she let her bees go, watching them fly up with her notes in order to find a strong hunter.

She was scared, very scared. but she had come this far and was not planning on giving up so easily.

She clutched a hand to her chest, exhaling softly to calm her nerves. 'I have to keep going...I can't stop now!. Pokkle is depending on me!'.

Having found a new drive to move forward, she finally started to move again. making her way into the forest nearby.

Killua, Gon and Kite had just passed by the border not to long ago, calmly making their way into the small country on horses, when the bees reached them. handing them the bloody notes. Killua frowned, that wasn't good.

Once they each had read the note Gon turned to Kite, giving him a worried look. "What should we do?".

Kite was about to answer him when Killua suddenly cut in. "We don't have any time to waste here talking about it. This hunter is obviously in trouble. And guessing from the notes, they are probably even Injured, we really have no time to waste".

"Killua..." Gon said softly as he gave his friend a worried look. "We might not make it in time. and if that is the case that is very unfortunate. But we can only go so fast. We have our limits as humans" Kite stated simply and matter of factly.

Deciding that it was no use to argue with these two, Killua decided to just trust his gut feeling and make his way down. following the path of the bees.

He would jump off his horse and slide his way down the mountain. only once he hit the ground miles below, he would activate his godspeed. something that he wasn't planning on revealing yet. but his gut feeling told him so and he trusted it.

"Kanmaru!" he called out as his hair would stand up and his aura would be changed into electricity, giving him somewhat of a blue glow. and soon after he would take off into the forest, following the direction that the bees went in at the speed of lightning.

She had been running as fast as her legs could carry her, not planning on stopping until she safely hit the border. Pokkle was depending on her and she wouldn't let him die. not on her watch.

'I must hurry back to the border!. Other hunters should be there-'

But her thoughts were interrupted as the sudden loud sound of a gunshot rolled through the air. Ponzu her eyes widened, knowing that she was about to die. she could go nowhere, this was it.

She closed her eyes, preparing herself for the impact and for her death. only it never came. instead, she felt a huge rush of wind coming past her before she was grabbed by something or someone.

She let out a yelp of surprise and right away began to struggle, kicking and punching the person so that they would let her go.

"Oi, what the hell are you doing?. Is this how you thank someone for saving your life?" a young male voice said. That was something she didn't expect.

Ponzu carefully opened her eyes, only to come face to face with a somewhat familiar face. It was one of the boys that she had seen at the hunter exam back then. only now he was a bit older. And his current state clearly showed his experience with nen. His hair was standing up and he was surrounded by lighting. wow...he really improved that much since then...

Killua clearly noticed her staring at him and frowned. deactivating his godspeed and turning back to normal. "What are you staring at me like that for?. is there something on my face?".

Ponzu tensed up ever so slightly, her cheeks turning a lovely shade of pink before she avoided his gaze, looking of to the side. "N-Nothing...".

Then there was an awkward silence for a bit. Him still holding onto her bridal-style while he was staring down at her. and she was looking anywhere else except at Killua.

"S..So...what happened to the thing that attacked me?". she eventually asked softly, not able to deal with the awkward silence anymore.

"it's over there," Killua said before he nudged his head towards the direction of the now-dead chimera ant. "I killed it".

"A-Ah...I see..." she said softly as she reached for her hair, nervously playing with one of her green locks.

Killua would then carefully put her down back onto the ground. She could stand as she was not injured thanks to Killua. but that still didn't ease her shaking, she still felt a bit uneasy.

"Come on. let's go back up towards the mountain. I have some friends who are waiting for me there". And without saying a single word he casually began to make his way back.

Still being somewhat frightened, Ponzu wanted some company. she wanted human contact to ease her nerves.

"U-Um...". she nervously began as she clutched a hand to her chest, still not moving from the spot where Killua had put her down.

Killua stopped in his tracks, turning around to face her. "What?" He asked. It was clear that he was a little annoyed.

"U-uhm...can I...hold your hand?" She would ask nervously, her cheeks becoming pink again in the process.

"why?" He simply asked, still being annoyed.

"Well...I...I just..." she stammered, unsure of how to put it.

He sighed, turning back around before he held his hand out to her. "Do as you please. just don't hold me back".

She instantly perked up, a small smile appearing on her face. "Thank you". She then would run towards him, grabbing a hold of his hand. And thus they started to make their way back together towards Gon and Kite.

Eventually, after walking for a few minutes, her nerves had calmed and she felt more at ease. She smiled before gently giving Killua's hand a gentle squeeze, which caught his attention.

"What did you do that for?". He asked, giving her a questioning look.

"I wanted to catch your attention. I have something important to say" she said, still smiling. He stopped in his tracks and looked at her, now they where standing face to face. It was clear that he was giving her all of his attention.

She took a deep breath, exhaling softly before hugging him softly. "this is for letting me hold your hand the whole time". She then pulled back, blushing ever so slightly for what she was about to do. "And this...". She then reached up and gently kissed him on the cheek. "..Is for saving my life. I certainly would have died back there if it wasn't for you".

Killua now had started to blush himself. "D-Don't mention it. it was nothing...". he said while avoiding her gaze this time.

She giggled lightly before grabbing a hold of his hand again. "Shouldn't we keep moving?. we can't make your friends wait forever right?".

"R...Right... " he said before he nodded his head. Agreeing with her.

And so they would make their way back, walking the whole way back hand in hand. Killua thought that it was still for support but he was wrong, Ponzu had stopped shaking a while ago. Her own desires clearly reflecting in her actions but he was to oblivious to notice...
