It was not often that Blair had a spare moment what with, raising three children, being the head of Waldorf Designs, and the perfect wife of The Great Chuck Bass. Needless to say, she enjoyed having a respite even if it came in the form of a rushed shower between work and a gala.
Blair rushed into her room and quickly stripped down to her undergarments on her way to the ensuite bathroom. Once she set the shower to a relaxing warm temperature she grabbed her phone and started playing her favorite playlist. As soon as she got in and the song started playing she lost herself in the memory of one bar mitzvah she would never forget.
There's a fire starting in my heart reaching a fever pitch and it's bringin' me out the dark
He heard it as a quiet hum as he walked up the staircase in their newly renovated townhouse. He was intrigued and continued down the hall toward their bedroom.
The scars of your love remind me of us they keep me thinkin' that we almost had it all
He remembered that night like it was yesterday instead of years ago. It held so many feelings for him; it was the night they had told each other that they would always love each other. But he had also let her go because he thought it was selfish of him to keep her from her own fairytale just to give himself a happy ending.
Ohohoh rollin' in the deep
He smirked as he whispered the line with her from outside the bathroom door. He slowly opened the door and crept in. She hadn't noticed him yet and continued singing. She would never admit to singing and dancing in the shower, Blair Waldorf did not partake in such immature activities, she held herself to higher standards (usually).
The scars of your love remind me of us they keep thinkin' that we almost had it all
Chuck loved seeing the uninhibited, free, fun-loving side of Blair. It was a part of herself she rarely displayed and honestly, seeing her dancing around and singing that song made him feel very turned on. He joined her on the next line singing at the top of his lungs
The scars of your love they leave me breathless I can't help feelin' we could've had it all
Blair immediately stopped singing but she was incapable of being embarrassed with him. She knew he loved her with all his heart and she loved him too.
Rollin' in the deep could've had it all
The song ended and they were both smiling.
"Y'know, Blair, I feel this song doesn't accurately represent our relationship," Chuck teased.
"Nothing can Chuck, our relationship is far too epic to be captured in four measly minutes," Blair said reverently.
"While that is true my love, I meant the specific line 'could've had it all;' we do have it all. We have three amazing kids, a marriage full of passion and a life full of happiness. What else could we ask for." Chuck was absolutely delighted by his wife and family and how splendidly his life had turned out. Looking back at that night, he never would have imagined he could be this happy.
"You're absolutely right dear. I wouldn't change a single thing," she smiled and kissed him happily.
They left the restroom blissful and went to get ready for their gala. The night was lovely, they ate, drank, and danced to their heart's content. When the beautiful couple finally arrived home late that evening they were both feeling amorous. They dimmed the lights, toasted their happy life with a fresh bottle of Dom '95, listened to their song on repeat, and made love all night. They really did have it all, and it was perfect.
