It is a very snowy day outside wanders' H.Q and the temperature is dropping steadily.
Waldo ventures outside into the snow without the others' knowing.
He walks aimlessly in this storm for a gut feeling.
His feet brush against something buried in the snow
His feeling got stronger as he realizes what it was.
Blonde hair stuck out from the cold.
He quickly moves the snow with his hands
Under the snow lies a younger girl
She appears to be about five years old
Waldo knows he can't just leave her here
So he carefully scoops her up into his arms
"Let's get you warmed up." He comforts her
As he hiked back inside
Inside a fire burns in the fire place.
He sits her in front of it to thaw out
Wizard Whitebeard notices waldo bringing something inside
He didn't know what it was
"What did you find out there?" He playfully asks
He assumes it must be a toy, wenda and him left or something of that sort
"A frozen young girl." waldo exclaims
Wizard Whitebeard didn't expect waldo to find that
However That girl needs help more than he needs to comb his beard
Wizard Whitebeard looks around the house for things to warm her.
Waldo brushes half melted snow off of the girl
He realizes she isn't breathing but luckily he know
He would have to do mouth to mouth to save her
Bracing her into his arms
He places his mouth on hers and blows into her
This causes her eyelids to flutter
Her eyelids open revealing a soft green color
"Glad to see your alive." Waldo says In a comforting way
A
It didn't take long for wenda to notice the erratic behavior of her fellow wanderers
"What on earth is going on?" She asks
"Saved a life, wenda." Waldo answered
Wenda isn't even shocked because wanderers solve problems
"What can I do to help?" She boldly asks
"Can you get her some blankets and a change of clothes." Waldo answers
While he holds the girl in his arms
"Sure thing, waldo." Wenda exclaims before dashing off to her room
Wizard Whitebeard fails to find anything useful in this situation
His beard makes a puzzled expression.
The girl shivers as she comes back to her senses
"It's okay, your safe now." Waldo states while softly rocking her back and forth
The girl reaches out and touches his cheek
Her cold hands are like ice to his warm skin
"Your welcome." He chuckles
She smiles weakly at him
Wenda returns with a bundle of blankets and some spare clothes
"I doubt they will fit her but it's better than her frozen attire." Wenda admits
"They will do fine." Waldo reassures her
Quickly they change her outfit
The red and white stripped sweater looks like a dress on the girl's small frame
The extra beanie hat covers her head nicely
" what's your name, sweetie ?" Wenda asks softly
The girl blinks in response
"I don't know." She answers in a obvious stutter
Waldo and wenda look at each other confirming their suspicions
"How old are you?" Waldo asks
"I don't know how old I am." She answers again
Her green eyes fill up with tears
"I don't know anything." She squeals
"It's okay. We will give you a name." Waldo says while elbowing wenda in the side
"Yeah. Don't worry about it." Wenda adds
The girl crying calms down and snot dribbles down her pale face
"What is your names?" The stuttering girl asks
"I'm waldo and this is wenda." Waldo says while wiping snot off of the girl
"Who'a that." She says while pointing at the friendly wizard
"That's wizard Whitebeard." Waldo explains before coaxing the girl to blow into the tissue
"I got a name for you." He adds while throwing the tissue over his back into a trash can
"Weally?" She asks
"Marlo." He chuckles
"Marlo?" She answers while pointing to herself
The wanderers nods in agreement
Wizard Whitebeard goes to cook some dinner for the wanderers and Marlo
He chats with his beard a long the way to the kitchen leaving the wanderers to themselves
Marlo snuggles into Waldo's side wiping her face into his sweater
He pats her head calmly
Time seems to slow down as they get comfortable
Snow piles up to the windows and doorknobs
The fire burned brightly as wenda took the wet clothes to the laundry room
The smell comforts them as sparks flew off the fire
They popped against the iron grill with pings
Dinner is ready and the wanderers wander into the dining room
Marlo ride on waldo's back and watches everything curiously
Wenda yawns as she's very tired
Waldo sits Marlo down in a chair next to him
He sits down in his own rugged chair
Wenda sits down last with a very tired expression
"I'm so tired." Wenda exclaims fighting back another yawn
Waldo smiles in acknowledgment
Marlo's tummy growls from hunger
"She must be famished." Wizard Whitebeard cheerfully says
He enters the room with a pot of Wellness soup
Wellness soup is a very magical soup that grants instant healing to those who drink it
But in reality it was just an extra healthy chicken noodle soup
He pours the soup into the red and white striped bowls lying in front of the wanderers
"Thanks wizard Whitebeard." Waldo and wenda speaks in unison
Marlo just nods
The soup's golden broth swirls in a mythical spiral.
The star shaped noodles dances around in the golden broth.
Carrots and celery floats by
It appears to sparkle with golden flakes in the light
"Such a beautiful soup." Wenda states before sinking her spoon into the bowl
"Sure is, wenda." Waldo adds to their conversation
Wizard Whitebeard fixes himself a nice bowl
He hurries to join them at the wooden dining table
The wanderers grew their number to four today
The sun is starting to set
The sunlight shown through the stained glass windows
The colorful reflection makes this magic free evening seem magical
A day without the use of magical keys and they saved Marlo's life
However trouble doesn't stay asleep forever
Soon the wanderers must wander off
