Hello! I'm here with a new story!

It's form a FemKen challange hosted by Dbztron2 so that's where the idea came from. Thank you for being patient and once again I'm sorry for taking this long to start writing.

This first chapter is sort of a introduction, that's why it's this short. Future chapters will be longer, hopefully.

All main characters from advanture 01 and 02 will be in here just so you know.

Aaaaanyways enough of my rambling..hehe

I hope you enjoy.

Chapter 1

Her life was hard enough before that awful day happened. An accident that kicked her hard when she was already down. The day Ken's life has changed drastically.

Eight years old, small petite body, shy girl, she was often bullied because of it and not only that but for coming from a poor family and being extremely smart.

She was already considered a prodigy at such a young age and had skipped two grades ahead hence being among older kids. That put her in a rough spot and she was bullied even more frequently. Her brother also advanced quicker than his peers and graduated highschool at age of 16. But sadly his life was cut short when he and his parents died in a car accident leaving little Ken by herself.

She had to move in with her aunt in a different country, which meant she had to leave her school and go to a whole new one. Ken didn't think much of it and was still trying to cope with her loss and closed herself off even more inside. She only spoke when spoken to and kept her head down at all times.

Ken's aunt knew of her problems in school and decided the safest thing for Ken right now, was to pretend she was a boy. Ken didn't disagree. She wanted a fresh start and was put in class with kids her age.

Ken was on her way to school, which was a walking distance from her aunt's apartment. Her heart was racing, hands sweaty, she was nervous and afraid. For her first day her aunt decided to walk with her and help her find the principal's office and her new class.

School was big. Much bigger than one she used to go to. This was a bigger town after all.

"You must be Ken." Principal said with a smile, Ken flinched at his sudden appearance, getting lost in her thoughts. "I'm principal Moori. Welcome to our school. I will now show you where your new class is." He adds. Ken lifts her head to take a quick glance at the principal. He was tall, skinny and wore glasses.

"Ken honey, I will be leaving now. Good luck and call if you need me okay?" Her aunt crouched down and gave her a peck on the forehead.

Ken nodded and quietly said "I will auntie. Don't worry." Giving her a slight smile. Her aunt stroked her hair gently.

"Bye honey!" She stood up and waved at her niece who waved back.

"Shall we?" Principal Moori gestured and she nodded and followed him.

They stopped in front of a wooden door with a young woman standing by them. Pretty.

"Principal" She bows to him. "Is this our new student?" Teacher turns to her and smiles.

"Yes. Make her feel welcome. If there are any problems, inform me." He tells her. "Ken, good luck." He gives her a little more encouragement and leaves before he can hear her timid "Thank you sir."

"Are you ready Ken?" Teacher asks. Her look is gentle and kind which puts Ken a little bit at ease.

Ken nods.

Teacher goes in first, Ken following behind her.

˝Good morning, kids!˝ She says enthusiastically and that was a bit weird to Ken because at her old school pretty much all of her teachers were grumpy and unfriendly, not to mention rude.

"Good morning Miss Amashi!" She did not take a glance away from the floor but by that greeting she can tell there is a lot of kids here.

Her heart is racing, hands and feet sweating, she's trying to breathe normally. 'Just breathe, in and out..' And she does so. Managing to calm herself to some extent. Standing in front of such a crowd was not her forte. She feels the weakness in her knees.

"Kids, this is your new classmate, Ken Ichijouji. He moved here all the way from America. Be nice and make him feel welcome."

'Him?...oh right, I'm gonna have to get used to this.' She tells herself as she still does not make eye contact with anyone in the room.

"Ken, go sit over there in the back by the window." Ken looks over there. The only empty seat. It's pretty far.

She walks, it feels awkward and like all the eyes are on her. When she reaches the desk she sighs in relief.

Teacher Amashi keeps talking about math and starts writing math problems on a board, stuff that Ken knows really well, but keeps attention all the same.

Girl that is sitting in front of Ken turns around to take a quick glance and smiles at her. Girl has brown hair and brown eyes, baby blue colored shirt with long sleeves, red skirt. Ken blushes at the sudden eye-contact, she quickly looks down at her paper, nervous. 'Wh..why did she look at me?' Ken stared blankly at her desk, waiting for the bell to finally ring. And for her it has indeed seemed like an eternity.

Even after the bell has rung Ken remained seated, despite all the kids getting up and talking, socializing.

"Hello. Ken, right?" Startled by the voice she jerks her head up to see that same brunette girl with a smile on her face. ' She doesn't seem scary…' Ken thought to herself.

"Uhh...h-hi."

"My name is Kari. It's nice to meet you." She says. "That's T.K. and Davis, we're friends. Would you like to hang out with us and be our friend?" Kari gestures to two boys. One that is sitting next to her, T.K., blonde hair, blue eyes, green hoodie and jeans. The boy sitting behind T.K. and next to Ken, Davis is also brunette like Kari a little darker tho, brown eyes. He's wearing a hoodie also, blue colored, and trousers.

"It's nice to meet you, Ken." T.K. says offering a smile.

"Nice to meet you!" Davis adds.

"It's..uh.. nice to meet you too." Ken says timidly, her eyes not making contact with any of them for more than few seconds.

'They really seem..nice...or...what if it's all just a joke... maybe they just want to prank me…' Her hands getting sweaty, heartbeat goes faster, breathing heavier, head fuzzy.

Kari notices something's wrong, she crouches down next to Ken, hand on her shoulder. "Ken, are you okay? We didn't mean to scare you. We wanted to be your friends if you want to of course..it's your choice" Kind words and her soothing voice manage to calm Ken down after a few minutes. She looks up and gives them a small smile.

From then on the four of them were inseparable, later joined by another girl, a year older, purple-haired, loud and friendly Yolie, whom Ken had no problem befriending due to her open nature.

Over time she also met Kari's older brother Tai and T.K.'s older brother Matt, just like their friends, Sora, Mimi, Izzy and Joe.

After everything she has been through, Ken never in a million years thought she could ever find a friend she could be comfortable with, let alone more than one friend.

Kari, Davis, T.K. and Yolie were the ones she was closest with, but others were just as nice and friendly.

Over a longer period of time she learned to trust them and slowly open up to them, mainly to her small group.

Ken never said she was a girl but she told them all about the accident and the bullying and all of that when she felt comfortable around them.

They made a pinky promise to stay friends forever and to always be there for each other and protect each other.

And indeed they have stayed friends after all those years.

16 years old. Much has changed. Things got complicated and harder, but Ken is not alone, she knows she will be okay, because she has her friends with her.

With that in mind she begins another school year with her friends, not knowing what awaits them in that future.
