Nia's POV
So to make a long story short, Miss Abby finished her time in jail, and now there is a season 8 of the show! My mom and I have been the only original cast members left since season 6 and we're still going! Season 7b is here, and we arrived to find Gianna and Miss Abby waiting for us. Miss Abby has never been the warmest person to us but when I walked in, she gave me a big hug. Did jail change her or something? Not too long after we arrived, Brynn and Ashlee walked in. Miss Abby gave Brynn a hug and then a ran up to her and gave her a huuuuge hug. I've seriously missed the girls! Brynn and I went to go get changed in the changeroom. Once we've finished, we head to the studio. I can see some other girls come in vaguely through the window, while Brynn and I warm up and stretch. Camryn comes in and we give her big hugs. When Kendall comes in, we do the same. I'm really glad Kalani's not here though. She was always on the top; she was the next Maddie! Maybe I'll finally have a chance this season to get on top! But it seems like I spoke too soon! Kalani walks through the door with two girls who I have never seen before. Maybe I won't be on top then. Mom will not be happy that Kalani is back. She thought this would be my year! Maybe with luck though, I could beat her. I can only hope.
Camryn's POV
I'm really happy to see all the girls again! I've really missed them. But who are these two newbies? I walk up to them to ask, but then Abby walks in. OMG! It's going to be the first pyramid of the season! Who will be on top? And can she please explain who these girls are? Abby calls the moms in and we get ready for the pyramid. There is a mom who nobody knows though. Probably those new girls' mom. And where's Kira? "Ok girls, first pyramid of the season!" Miss Abby calls. We stand in line and get ready for the pyramid. "I have based this off either last years competition dancing, or your videos. On the bottom of the pyramid," Miss Abby pauses. I hold my breath. She rips off the cover and the face staring at me is… "Nia. You were in the group dance in the background and you still messed up. Do I need to put you on probation?" Abby asks Nia.
"No, Miss Abby," Nia replies.
"We'll see then how you dance this week. Next on the pyramid. Brynn. You lead the group dance and we didn't win. That wasn't entirely your fault, but if you hadn't slipped, we might have gotten at least a 2nd," Abby states. Brynn nods and hangs her head. Ashlee opens her mouth to argue but Brynn looks at her. Brynn must have glared pretty hard, because Ashlee shut her mouth pretty quickly. I'm just glad my mom isn't like the other moms. She's more of a quiet type unless she's like defending me but even then, she defends me in a quiet but nice way, not like Jill or Holly or Ashlee. "On the pyramid next, Camryn," Abby looks at me. I am slightly disappointed but glad I'm not bottom. "You did good. Nothing overly great, nothing wrong. That's why you're there." I smile and look at my mom. She looks happy.
Kendall's POV
I'm not on the bottom row of the pyramid this week. Mom should be pretty happy with that. I can only hope to be on the top. But surely it won't be Kalani or the two new girls. I mean Kalani cried backstage and the new girls are… well… new. "Moving up to the middle row. We have… Kendall," Miss Abby rips off the cover and my face is staring back at me. I look at mom silently willing her not to say anything. "You did a great job, but you let Kalani beat you. Not good enough. At least you came second and didn't let Studio 19 beat you though." Miss Abby critiques me. I nod and promise it won't happen again. "Next on the pyramid is… Hallie. Hallie you're new here at the studio but we'll get you to introduce yourself in a minute. You were beautiful and I felt like your dance was almost perfect." Miss Abby says. One of the new girls, the one with blonde hair, nods happily. How is this fair though? I have been dancing with this team since season 2 and some new girl can just come in and beat me on the pyramid? Mom is not going to be happy. She opens her mouth to say something stupid about the new girl, but I don't want to make another bad start with a new girl. "Just don't, mom!" I exclaim. Mom seems surprised and she shuts her mouth. Good. But everybody's looking at me now. I brush it off and look back at Miss Abby. "Right. On the next spot in the pyramid is… Stephanie. Your video was great, and I am surprised at how your level is compared to your sister who is waaaay older than you. Great job!" Stephanie looks pleased. But you shouldn't be pleased with second place. As Miss Abby always says, second is first to lose. Stephanie is going to be like a little Mackenzie on our team now. So we'll have Hallie as Maddie and Stephanie as Mackenzie. They've got to be siblings, right? So if Stephanie is second then there's only one person left to be on top. "And on the top of the pyramid this week is… Kalani! You deserve it. You went out there and won your solo with a perfect score and you were flawless in the group dance," Miss Abby explains. Of course it would be Kalani. Kalani is the new Maddie!
Chapter 4
Steph's POV
I was so excited for the first pyramid and I got second! That's like a huuge achievement for Miss Abby to give me! "Steph, Hallie, Kalani and Lily. You have some explaining to do?" Miss Abby asks. Some of the girls look confused and I can hear Kendall whisper to Nia "Why Kalani?" I look at Hallie and she urges me to talk first. "So, my name is Stephanie, but you can call me Steph. I have been dancing since I could walk. My mum has been a dancer for as long as I know of. I've watched every season of Dance Moms so far and I'm really excited to be here! Um there's something big we should probably tell you, but I think someone else should do that. Oh and by the way, we're from Australia, that's why we talk weird," I explain. I'm new and I guess I just hope some of the other girls like me. Some of the girls looked confused when I started talking. They didn't recognise my accent. "Hi, I'm Hallie. I have also been a dancer since I could walk. Steph here is my sister and the announcement is not mine to talk about, so I'll pass on," Hal announces. Kalani looked at mum and kind looked like she wanted her to go first, so mum starts introducing herself. "Hello guys, my name is Lily Cornish, I have been a professional dancer on Dancing With The Stars Australia and I have done Burn the Floor for a while. Again, the announcement is not mine, so go ahead, Kalani," Mum says. Kalani takes a deep breath. I pat Kalani on the back in encouragement. The other girls look over confused. "So, over the summer, my mom, Kira… as some of you may know, she had a criminal record. And she… she kind of… she messed up. And she ended up in… jail," Kalani sobs. I hug her because she's obviously not in a good place. But she has all of us teammates to help her through this tough time. "Kira's currently in jail, so Kalani needed a new guardian/adoptive parent and mum thought she was the one so, Kalani is currently our sister!" I exclaim. Kalani hugs me and I hug her back. I swear everyone in that room except for me, K, Hal, Miss Abby and mum gasped. Like, heck yeah, it's crazy! But I have an insanely beautiful new sister! Like I know the moms on this show were all supposed to be like crazy, but our mum is like not. She's like a peacemaker so the producers thought that would go down with the mums, sorry moms. Like two fighting mum goes, break it up and then they get mad at her! Like sounds like it could be good right? I mean we'll have to wait and see what happens right?

Hey guys! This is based on something I made up and I just wanted to share it with you. If you think this is good, I'll do more. Please leave a review and follow me and my story! I tried to do another one but the formatting failed I'll try that again later. So Steph is based on me and everyone is based on everyone except Hallie is based on nobody. I used ideas from my idol and dance teacher, Mis Hallie, but she is mostly just my imagination. Also, if you haven't yet noticed, Kalani is my favourite person to ever be on Dance Moms!
